What is the Best Price Guarantee service?
The Best Price Guarantee Service promises lower prices than any other site on all overseas hotels. Expedia is able to offer this service because we are the world's largest online travel company, with seventy million customers every month.
Which hotels are eligible?
All overseas hotels bookable through Expedia.co.kr are eligible.
What websites are eligible for price comparison?
For hotels paid in advance:
Only websites offering rates in Korean won are eligible.
For hotels with on-site payment:
Only websites offering rates in the same currency displayed on Expedia.co.kr (Korean won or local currency) are eligible. Hotels and rooms offering instant reservation are eligible.
*Request-based websites using unconfirmed reservations are not eligible
How is the difference refunded?
If you find a site that offering a reservation at a better price, whether the reservation conditions are the same or not, please call our Customer Support Centre within one month (30 days) of reservation*. We will refund the difference to the credit card used when reserving the overseas hotel, and offer a 50,000 KRW off Hotel coupon to use on your next reservation through Expedia (for use with overseas hotels or overseas tours).

What is Expedia's "Best Price Guarantee"?
If you reserve a hotel through Expedia.co.kr and later find the same hotel at a better price on Expedia.co.kr or another site, and you contact Expedia Customer Support within one month (30 days) of reservation*, whether the reservation conditions are identical are not, we will refund the difference between the room fee of our reservation and the cheaper room fee you have found to your credit card, and offer you a 50,000 KRW Hotel coupon to use on your next reservation through Expedia (for use with overseas hotels or overseas tours). The following terms apply to Expedia's Best Price Guarantee.
Eligible Hotels
All overseas hotels that can be reserved through Expedia.co.kr are eligible for the "Best Price Guarantee".
Eligible Websites
*When comparing prices for the Best Price Guarantee, the rates must be in the same currency as the reservation on Expedia.co.kr. (Monetary values converted through a currency converter are not eligible for the Best Price Guarantee).
For hotels paid in advance:
Only websites offering rates in Korean won are eligible.
For hotels with on-site payment:
Only websites offering rates in the same currency displayed on Expedia.co.kr (Korean won or local currency) are eligible. How to Request a Refund of the Difference? If, after booking through Expedia.co.kr, you find a website where the same overseas hotel can be reserved at a lower price, please call Expedia Customer Support Call center within one month of the reservation (one month (30 days)* before travel). Expedia Customer Support Staff will check this report, and if it meets the "Best Price Guarantee" conditions, the difference will be refunded to the credit card used to reserve the hotel, and you will be offered a 50,000 KRW off Hotel coupon to use on your next reservation through Expedia (for use with overseas hotels or overseas tours).
How the Difference is Refunded
For hotels paid in advance:
The difference will be refunded to the credit card used during reservation. We will not refund by any method other than credit card, and we will not refund to another credit card. The refund procedure will take place within 7-10 business days of confirmation by Expedia Customer Support Staff. Also, please be aware that due to the timing of credit card company deadlines, it may take 1-2 months to confirm the refund on your credit card statement. Regardless of the number of reservations or number of rooms, only one refund will be given to each customer per month.
For hotels with on-site payment:
Refunds are processed after the stay in hotel is confirmed. After the hotel stay, please send us your credit card statement where the amount paid on site is shown. The process of refunding your credit card will begin after the statement is confirmed. We will not refund by any method other than credit card. Also, please be aware that due to the timing of credit card company deadlines, it may take 1-2 months to confirm refund on your credit card statement. For more information, please contact Customer Support. Regardless of the number of reservations or number of rooms, only one refund will be given to each customer per month.
Coupon Offers and Limitations
After the difference is refunded by Customer Support, a 50,000 KRW off Hotel coupon for your next overseas hotel and overseas tour reservation will be added to your account on expedia.co.kr. Please note that this coupon is subject to the following conditions.

Only one coupon will be offered to each customer per month, regardless of the number of reservations or number of rooms.

The coupon will expire 1 year from the date it was issued.

The coupon can be used for your next overseas hotel or overseas tour reservation through Expedia.co.kr.

The coupon's value will be deducted from the total amount of the overseas hotel or overseas tour, including tax and service charges.
Applicable Conditions

The "Best Price Guarantee" is only applicable where all of the following conditions are met. It must be a single hotel reservation, with the hotel, room type, number of guests, refund conditions, check-in date, check-out date, breakfast options, and reservation and service contents or conditions completely in agreement. (If our payment plan allows refunds but the comparison payment plan does not allow refunds, it is not eligible. If our payment plan does not allow refunds but the comparing payment plan allows refunds, it is eligible.)

The "Best Price Guarantee" will only be applicable if a room can be promptly reserved under the above conditions after contacting Expedia Customer Support. It is not applicable if the corresponding rooms are unavailable, or reservation is request-based and cannot be confirmed.

"Best Price Guarantee" comparison is not eligible for packages, discounts for reserving both a hotel and flight ticket, or discounts where accommodation is unconfirmed until purchased.

The price displayed by Expedia.co.kr generally includes tax and service charges. Prices on the comparison website will be compared by the price including tax and service charges.

The "Best Price Guarantee" is only applicable to prices advertised or open to the public, or published on websites directed to Korean consumers. For instance, prices offered on a website's member program, corporate discounts or corporate prices, group, charter, points programs, incentives, conference, assembly, consolidator, or interline prices, prices procured by an auction or similar process, or prices available only by using a coupon not generally offered or other campaign are not eligible. Prices obtained by a customer through a phone call to a number published on a website, or prices written in an e-mail received by the customer are not considered a better price.
Request and Confirmation of Refunds of Difference
When Expedia receives a request for a refund, the Expedia Customer Support Staff will access the relevant website and confirm whether the comparable price is eligible for the "Best Price Guarantee". Documentation provided in a request for a refund which cannot be confirmed on the website, such as screen captures or printed material, will not be accepted.
Cancelling Reservation after "Best Price Guarantee" is applied
If you cancel a reservation after the "Best Price Guarantee" has been applied, the amount paid for the reservation after deduction of the hotel's cancellation fee will be refunded along with the already-refunded difference based on the "Best Price Guarantee" will be refunded. No refund will be given which exceeds the amount paid for reservation.
Changes to Expedia's "Best Price Guarantee" Terms and Suspension of Service
If Expedia deems it necessary, Expedia may, without the knowledge of the customer, in regard to any customer, and at any time, for whatever reason, change the terms of the "Best Price Guarantee" or suspend the service. Expedia accepts no liability to the customer if terms are changed or the service is suspended.
Expedia's "Best Price Guarantee" terms apply only when a customer makes a difference refund request to Expedia. Even in the event the "Best Price Guarantee" service is suspended, the "Best Price Guarantee" service will be offered for reservations made within 48 hours of suspension based on the terms at the point of suspension.
