I/we did not like anything about this Motel. It was dirty /in need of updates We slept on top of the bed with our own pillows and blankets.Never showered as the bathroom was so Dirty. Please stay away from this Motel/especially if you have children.

We should not complain as it was just about the last room available on this busy weekend in Williams Lake. However it is an old motel, the beds were not comfortable, the 'suite' was two rooms hacked together, and the 2 room suite did not flow together. Besides, in one of the other rooms, there was active drug selling going on. The people were nice and trying hard but what we got for the price was too much, even if it was one of the last rooms.

I left my comb and very expensive facial cream from Germany. I went back to retrieve it and they said they threw it in the garbage!!!

Could not lock the door from the out side when going out . Tried to take a hot shower tap wouldn’t go that far left. Didn’t stay the second night over priced google map said $85. A night.

Non smoking room smelled of tobacco and entrance to the door had cig butts .... needless to say I did not stay there ... employee told me to booking cancel with Expedia, expedia did not have phone number on the itinerary , it was frusterating expierince

Just thought it would be nicer for what we paid.dust on coffee maker .holes in wall. The gather room was the most updated of the room. Door didn't should tightly.

Upon arrival we were met with okay service, no problems checking in. However, we were asked if we wanted to see the room first, and oh boy we should've. As soon as you get in the room, provided that the key actually works, you open the door to see damaged walls, outdated furniture, and an overall dirty feel. The lifeless mattress had 2 unmatching pillows, one thick and one thin, with some lovely mismatched linens to top it all off. Too add more character to the overall room, the damages on the walls were "repaired" with packing tape, the crown moulding was broken in multiple places, and there were cobwebs in every corner possible. In the bathroom, you are provided 1 towel for 2 guests, a 3/4 full toilet paper roll, and some more damaged walls. If you dare set foot in the dirty shower, the shower has great water pressure, so that's nice. Do you like a cold room to sleep in? If so, this isn't the room for you as the baseboard doesn't turn off, even when set to 0. We felt like we were chestnuts roasting on an open fire. Definitely not worth the price; heck, it's not worth half that cost. Only saving feature is the quiet location.

I found the staff excellent to work with very accomadating .The rooms are dated but the price reflects that The beds very comfortable I would recommend this budget hotel

A one night stay. Arrived early after a six hour drive. Walking distance to town. Back to motel to get ready for a meeting. Reasonable room.

Exactly what I was looking for.
I was looking for an affordable hotel that would allow me to keep an eye on my dirtbike parked in my truck outside. This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, quiet, and low traffic. Check in was fast, and staff was friendly and helpful.

Retro 1950 style motel which could do with some maintenance and updates. Hotel was very clean but some of the sinks, doors etc were poorly maintained. Get what you pay for though.

Adequate for a family.
Room was ok. Lots of mosquitos and floor was so dirty our feet were black. Other than that it was good. Full kitchen, quiet and comfy beds.

The room was not very clean. TV remotes were missing. There was mold in the bathroom. The floors creak. The hot water goes cold when another room flushes.

Horrible. Awful. Disgusting.Unsafe.
The Stampeder is the absolute worst hotel I've ever experienced in over 20yrs of travelling through BC for work. Unfortunately, it was the only hotel in town that had a room left due to a large conference ... that should have been the first warning. Upon arrival just before 7pm, the front office was closed. There was a phone number to call posted on the window, so thankfully my phone was with me and charged after the flight. The attendant was actually inside (not sure why the phone call was required) but was very friendly - no complaints at all about the personal service. I walked across the motel balcony to my room, passing exterior walls and doors with various stains, and windows in clear disrepair. There were ashtrays on the balcony railing just outside each exterior door. I was under the impression that this was a 'hallway', thus required to be smoke free by BC law. Upon entering my room, I was hit with a unique stench. It was a bit of a mix between smoke (it was supposed to be non smoking room), lysol, and sweat. There were stains on the walls, on the stovetop, in the cupboards. And the best surprise was NO LOCKS ON THE WINDOWS that opened directly onto the public balcony. Unreal and unsafe. I tried calling the front desk about the windows ... no answer after multiple tries. So I just sucked it up and hardly slept a wink. Do not stay here unless you are forced to. Even then ... sleep in your car.

Desk man was a creep kept staring at my chest which was fully covered by the way, room was in poor condition and was filthy, couple on drugs fighting outside, did not feel secure at all.

too much for what u get
kids were affraid to use the bathroom , very outdated furnishings .for additional 30 get a room at ramada next door or 2km down the road at best western .

Hotel clerk couldn't find reservation. I had to bring in my laptop and show him. Temperatures were in the low 40's and the heat was off in the room. There is only a small baseboard heater so it took an hour and a half to get comfortable. Who needs this after 8 hours of driving. The room was large, clean, and comfortable once warmed up. Would not stay here again in the winter, probably a good room in summer.
