This property is advertised as an upscale oceanfront venue. It is anything but that. The employees were lovely - whomever owns the resort has allowed it to fall into disarray with no hot water, toilets not flushing, sliding doors not opening, no waterfront activities as advertised (tricycles, bicycles, kayaks, etc...) not available. The beach is a block away and worth the short walk. Subpar is being generous in relation to the property itself.

Kayak, bikes and tricycles are available upon request and for rent at the local bike store. We are currently replacing all the sliding doors and th property is undergoing major upgrades.

Beautiful property and a wonderful ambiance overall. Unfortunately did not communicate that the restaurant closes at 10:30 pm, as well as no iron for pressing clothing, was available.

We were met at reception by a lovely woman who was kind enough to offer us an upgraded room, walking with my husband so that he could make the final choice among a few solid options. Our room was spacious, had a nice balcony on the water, and the kitchen stocked with basic necessities to prepare a quick meal. The AC was phenomenal, which is important in July. The restaurants at the resort, especially Coco’s, had friendly service and good food. Treasure Cay (and the marina) are a great location to head out on the boat to all Abaco hot spots. We were especially surprised and excited to discover the onsite grocery market, where you can find all the essentials for a basic meal. We stocked up on snacks for the boat, but were also able to find steaks, potatoes, fruit and veggies for a meal. Treasure Cay airport is a short 10-15 minute ride away, and the resort is very helpful in arranging transportation, if needed.

Renovation looks to have started

The hotel is in the most amazing and beautiful location. Unfortunately, it needs some work. Our suite was loaded with ants and had some other small issues as well. The people who work there are all great, it just needs an influx of money to revive the rooms. It looks like some are getting renovated.

I do not reccommend

This resort is a dump. the room we were given should not be rented out at all. The only thing this resort has going for it is it is located on the most beautiful beach. I guess they think this will override the horrible service, high prices and lack of cleanliness. The pool was filthy, the restaurant and bar staff were rude and thieves. They were starting to refurbish rooms, so heavy equipment running out in front of our room everyday, building around the pool. The beaches in this area are gorgeous. Buy your drinks at the market as the mark up in the bar is outrageous. $8 for a local beer is uncalled for even in a resort. Resorts and bars in Freeport charged 2.50, the market charges 2.50. Bars in Marsh harbour and surrounding area charge 4-5 so where does Treasure Cay Resort get off charging these prices especially with the rude staff.

Avis and her staff are very friendly and helpful. They know you by name which makes you feel very welcome, like family. Amenities have improved and perfect addition to property. Only wish is that beer and food were cheaper. I like my beer. Thank You for a wonderful holiday.

Basic room, good location.

We spent 1 night in their hotel before a week of sailing. Great location. Room is basic and small, comfortable bed. Room not very clean, outside had trash lying around and bathroom needed a good scour.

Nice marina. Over priced, needs upgrades, mediocre food & drinks, isolation due to lack of transportation [rental boats or golf carts] and very, very expensive cabs to any destination outside of the property. Nice beach across the street but is plagued by large quantities of seaweed in water and on the beach. [Seasonal?]

Treasure Cay

Beautiful venue for our wedding. Avis arranged everythng and it all went perfectly. Highly reccommend the resport it was clean, peaceful, everything you need on site and really friendly, happy people working there. Avis and the other staff there are brilliant and nothing is too much trouble. The beach will take your breath away with its pure beauty and fine sand. Just a perfect place to stay and unwind.

great location on the harbor beautiful view from the second floor balcony Beach is spectacular with powdery soft sand and gentle waves. 3.5 miles long with aquaramine colors of the ocean as far as you can see. boat rental and tours at your front door

The resort was really peaceful and the grocery store on the property was really nice. A lot of food options and the bar was AMAZING. Beautiful place. A couple downsides that were more of an inconvenience rather than a "I wouldn't stay here again." The power kept going out for a couple hours at a time on our first couple days. If we had been informed of this, no big deal. Except we weren't told at all, so when it went out while we were sleeping, I woke up and was super confused. About halfway into our stay we were informed it was because of city power and generator issues, but it would have been nice to know this from the get-go. The second issue we had was the day before we checked out, we talked to the front desk and told them we'd be leaving at about 7 am since we had an 8 am flight. She said she'd set up a taxi to be there by 7 am and everything would be taken care of. The following morning, after already dealing with the stress of cancelled flights due to the midwest freeze, 7.10 rolled around and the taxi still wasn't there. The guy at the desk called another one thank goodness and we didn't miss our flight. Unsure if this was on the taxi's behalf or if the front desk simply forgot to call, but it was still an inconvenience. Overall, a nice stay and getaway!

Pretty good slice of paradise

Great place to stay and explore the surrounding area, everything you need is close by. If you do wish to see some of the other nearby islands and cays it is difficult to do outside of renting a charter which is around $800 per day, plus side it’s not hard to have an entire section of the beach to yourself and the front desk is very amenable to early check in

Hotel needs work, beach area great

Great location near Treasure Cay beach area which is lovely, but the hotel is in dire near of repairs and maintenance both inside and out. Food choices are limited but adequate. Staff is more or less friendly, feel like your staying in a strip mall area.

Destination is beautiful. Resort is tired. They are doing some renovations that are badly needed. When we checked in they said we were getting an upgrade but it was really a downgrade. We booked and had paperwork for a prepaid king marina view. They said their paperwork showed twin marina view and so we were getting “upgraded” to a queen marina view. King to queen is not an upgrade. All in all the experience was not terrible but very mediocre.....hard to not enjoy such a beautiful place.

Marina on one side and one of the best beaches with super food on the other side. Quite a rare location with super friendly and informative staff. There is a mini market (quite big actually) BTC (telecom), rentals and more right there so you dont need to venture far out. Having a car is nice if you want to go out and explore - although taxis are available

Nice Abaco resort

Staff and resort workers were lovely, they went out of their way to be friendly the resort was very quiet due to the time of year we went. Cocos was nice (beach bar) check their hours for food. The beach is beautiful, overall the room was a little tired in the bathroom, but main area was fine and it was clean, we were overlooking the harbour

Friendly, helpful staff, beautiful location. Dock staff and captains all very knowledgeable and accommodating. Grocery store, liquor store, excursion desk, car rental, golf cart rental, golf course on premise. Great views, first day we saw a sting ray, nurse shark and other fish. Second day we saw a Lager head turtle, all right from the dock!

wonderful location in marina close to beach. Beach outstanding. We got an upgrade due to low season. Upgrade was a double floor suite with balcony, full kitchen 2 showers. Great!

Room needed some attention

Treasure Cay is an amazing beach, but having stayed at Green Turtle Cay prior 5 nights we needed a place to stay our 6th night so chose TC Hotel and Marina because I knew at least the beach would be great. A few things were a bit disappointing about the room. My fiancé is a stickler for clean bedding and feels that when hotels put big, thick blankets and very heavy bed spread on beds (although pretty and decorative) the hotels never wash them after each guest. I always thought she was wrong until she noted white crusty stains all over the fuzzy brown blanket that was touching the clean sheet. So we stripped the bed and slept without blankets and a sheet. Pretty gross as to what the mystery white crusty stains were but can only imagine. The bathroom had no cold water - so I turned on the shut-off under sink, but woke to a flooded bathroom. We had a great lunch at Coco Beach Bar and should have had dinner there too, as Spinnaker Restaurant was very "weird" Very nice atmosphere - but we were the ONLY one's in there at 7:30pm, and this is supposed to be busy time of year. Bartender didn't know how to make a martini, service was not impressive despite being only patrons. Menu and food were just "ok". Now I know why it was so empty. The restaurant is in dire need of better management it seems.

3 night stay in Treasure Cay

Very polite and friendly staff at resort. Location excellent with access to beautiful white sand beaches and clear blue water, along with a good marina. Rooms were very clean and supplied with Keurig coffee maker, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, utensils and plates. Reasonably priced grocery, bakery, and wine shop close by. Recommend getting room on the marina side.

Pilots rest

Flight crew staying one night, had everything I needed, including a great beach across the street. Had working WiFi, nice treat for the Bahamas. Would have been nice to understand the local attractions and services. Did not know there was a Hobbie cat I could rent.
