Our room was very spacious and cozy. The hotel is very conveniently located, you can walk easily to every one of our personal favorite spots. Easily a new favorite spot.

The Shilo is convenient, but the price was a little steep for what we walked into. Keycards are unreliable, no towels on the room upon arrival, bathroom had a hairball in the shower, a beer cap in the lounge area, and we had limited hot water at shower time. The North exit door lock was busted so the door is just propped open it get ready to walk. The staff was nice enough, but phones to get ahold of them were also unreliable. The steam room is phenomenal, sauna works great, hot tub was hot pool was perfect temperature, and they were checking chemicals frequently. This is a pet friendly hotel which is also very much appreciated, but if your pet is needy, or noisy check with the rules before you book, it could get pricey real quick. The outside would be a pressure washer’s dream job. There seems to be an endless supply of handyman jobs to keep someone busy, but it appears to not have a handyman.

This place is way overdue for a remodel. The furniture in the room was old, broken and worn. There were no towels in the bathroom, however, it was clean. Nice view of the ocean but the windows were so dirty you could hardly see through them. Also, the restaurant and lounge have been closed since 2019, but it wasn’t mentioned on the Expedia website. We got a text message about it after we booked a non refundable room.

Shilo Inn is in a great location located next to the entrance to the beach. The staff is excellent and very helpful, but the property is in need of many updates. Our room as very quiet and had a great view. The mattress in our bed was soft and lumpy. The furniture was very worn and in need of replacement. The Restaurant is no longer there.

This place is in a prime location but needs updating and better cleaning practices. Our floors had crumbs and we had no towels in our room. Staff was quick to respond with clean towels and cleaning.

Had to request basic towels for room. Real old furnishings. But great view of ocean and very kind to let us have early check in.

This property is very dilapidated and outdated. Clam cleaning station doesn’t work, doors don’t work, restaurant and lounge are out of business, bathroom ceiling is falling in, stained gross bath mat in tub.

The place had boiler problems on sunday morning or Saturday night not sure but we found out when we went to shower to leavethere was no hot water for a shower, there responce was sorry for the inconvenience. No discount on the room or offer for a discounted stay in the future, so dont think

Check in was fine, room was okay, not clean tho, dusty and the pull out couch looked like it was 80 years old and it was covered in hair, we opened it and it was broken so we closed it right back up and ended up sharing beds... there was no linens for the sofa either... stayed 4 days and no room cleaning happened, no towels exchanged, had to reuse... the restaurant is closed so no breakfast or any food there... for the amount of money I expected a lot more than what we got....

We didn’t know the Restaurant would not be open. There was no complementary coffee in the lobby. Our room was smelly when we got in however we left the door open and it cleared up. We were told dogs were allowed only on the first floor however our couch was covered in dog hair. We flipped the cushions. We didn’t make a complaint because we were there for a convention and knew we wouldn’t be in the room except to sleep. I wouldn’t recommend staying there if you plan on lounging in your hotel room. Also my wife bought a bag of chips from the vending machine and they expired in December of last year.

Went in prepared for horrible conditions after reading many other reviews. While the property does greatly need an update, it was not dirty or unkept. Disappointed there wasn't a restaurant and the noise from the people above us was very loud. The check in was smooth and my request for more towels was handled quickly. Was a much better experience than I thought we would have. .

The queen size beds are definitely not queens, our shower water comes out brown and everything is quit, very outdated and the restaurant is not open. We were hoping for something a little better for the price. However, the staff was wonderful and helpful when we needed them.

Love ocean shores , but that hotel (shilo) needs to be replaced with a new one. Run down. Beds are awful showers are awful . The pool and hot tub was nice thank god ! The employees where very sweet and friendly But the hotel it self needs to be updated. Had to change rooms due to the door not locking even with bolt lock. The ocean makes up tor it tho . Spectacular views!

The Expedia website reported a restaurant and lounge onsite, but it hasn’t been open for 4 years! The staff said Expedia refuses to correct the website! False advertising! And the room was dirty, furniture in disrepair, sink leaked and lights were burn out. Never again!

Rooms are still pretty nice, sitting area, balcony with a view. But the service at the front desk was non existent, no heat throughout the building until you get in your room. No maid service, had to get towels and soap from the front desk. Just really run down from what it used to be.

The Shilo Inn Ocean Shores has the perfet location for this town. The staff were extremely kind and polite. But the property itself was horrible. Room was dirty, and clearly not updated since the place opened. We used the pool but didn't stay in too long as it was unclean. I got the impression that management is just trying to squeeze every dollar out of the property with no reinvestment back into it. We had to ask for towels, soap, and basic toiletries. We wanted to enjoy our ocean view but the double paned windows were filled with condensation and otherwise foggy. Until the Shilo in updates it's property we will definitely use Airbnb the next time we go to Ocean Shores

We enjoyed our stay. Our room were clean, good size but the balcony, outside furnitures and windows were dirty. It would have been nice to enjoy the view from the inside because it was too cold but windows were dirty. Other than that we’ll come back again.

What they don't tell you until after you book. The restaurant has been closed for quite a while. The mattresses are older and hard. Other than that great view, great rooms, great location.
