My first room had crumbs everywhere, hair in the sink, and hair all over the bed (including under the covers on what should have been clean sheets). The front desk employee was very gracious and kind and moved me to a second room. No crumba this time, but once again had hair all over the beds and a makeup spot on one pillow. The front desk employee once again moved me to a third room. This room was better, but not nearly as clean as it should have been. This was frustrating because this property usually does not have this issue.

The room we have was fairly clean but once we got ready for the night we found the fold out couch was broken, underneath the couch was dirty, the mattress was soiled. Upon further inspection we found the mattress on one of the queen bed was also soiled and dirty. The breakfast was also bad, the sausage appeared to be half cooked and was hard. The shower handle was hard to pull to make from faucet to shower.

For the low price for the room i was pleasantly surprised about the room condition and the free breakfast. The staff was very helpful and the woman who served the breakfast was the best.

First day of checking in the sheets and comforters had stains. Dont think they were ever changed. Out of the 5 nights the room was never clean once. We will never stay at comfort suites again.

Current status not recommended
In Abilene for new born baby pictures and visit family, completely understand updates and remodeling are needed but to place guest in a room that has yet to be remodeled, the shower had calcium buildup, ac unit was loud, doors wouldn’t shut and the overall floor had an awful sting.

The check in process was the easiest as I’ve ever had. The clerk at check-in was super nice and had our keys out and ready. All we had to do was say our names and sign a check in contracts and we were done. It was less than a minute. Hotel smelled so fresh (like a dryer sheet), the freshest I’ve ever smelled. It was clean. The elevator and carpets are dated abd had stains, but overall I’d stay here again. I wish I could’ve stayed two nights. Very nice clerk in the morning too. You feel like you matter and your day mattered. Great customer service. Amazing.

My reason for going to Abilene was to watch my Granddaughter play high school volleyball. My Granddaughter became ill and was not able to make the trip to play. I called Comfort Suites to see if I could cancel my reservation, but was told that I could not. So, I was charged for the night even though I was not there. I knew that my reservation was non-cancellable, but felt that exceptions could be made.

The property was located in a convenient area to our needs related to our visit. Staff was polite and friendly. The rooms were clean and met our needs. We are stayed in newer and more modern facilities but these were adequate. The high light of our stay was the morning continental breakfast, Donna was a delight and provided a nice assortment of food/drinks to start the day, she was a delight.

Check in was great, I was able to check in early around 3 pm. Staff was so nice, the only real problem was getting towels. Sunday morning I was told they ran out.

At first, we were not happy and thought it was dirty. It’s just an older hotel; the stay was fine. The lady that runs breakfast was awesome- very friendly and truly loved her job.

They need help
While there the elevator stopped working pretty much every day, the lady at the front desk wasn’t the best at explaining why but just complaining about everything always breaks there. Every day we were there our key was erased so we had to get it reprogrammed every morning and one day we had to get it done twice. Another thing they do housekeeping upon request. We requested each morning and never got a single cleaning even after multiple requests and they would just say they didn’t have a cleaning crew show up that day. They have a place for towels outside by the pool, and when we went to the desk to let them know they were out they responded that they didn’t have time to go out there so if you want one then ask the front counter every time. Sounds like they just need help.

Great customer service but hotel needs improvement
There definitely needs to be some maintenance and upkeep improvements. There was a sign that said they were doing renovations so hopeful that will happen. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Shower curtain rod coming out of the wall but they did fix while we were there

The room itself wasn’t horrible and would have been fine except the bathroom was disgusting and the toilet wouldn’t flush. We called down to the front desk twice asking about getting it fixed and were told both times they would call back in 3 minutes. We had to get to sleep due to being back on the road by 6:30am. We ended up just using the bathroom in the lobby which was a total inconvenience and when I asked about it again in the morning so we wouldn’t have to come down as we were trying to get ready there was a lady at the desk (a man before). She was very apologetic and would have given us another room so it was too bad she wasn’t at the desk when we called. We were there less than 12 hours but needed a place to shower and sleep while traveling and the shower was gross and couldn’t use the toilet in the room.

Our room was half way cleaned. The bedding was not changed. Had blood stains and hair. Towels were not changed. Had blood on one. The shower was not cleaned. Had used wash cloth and shampoo bottles. The front desk did the best to fix issue.
