It is wonderful to be appreciated by such great guests. Thank you Paul.

Our inn is across the street from an elderly housing apartment building and on all other sides of the inn are residential homes. The old people across the way are always waving, happy to see people come to us from all over the world. There is a neighborhood bar next door and it is true, New Englanders are reserved. Often this reserve is mistaken for unfriendliness. We also though they looked at us funny when we first arrived but we soon realized that they are kind and welcoming as soon as you get past the initial reserve. The people here are very proud of their town and also proud of our inn. We would not have chosen this location if there were any issues at all with our neighbors. I feel safe as a single woman at night and I am comfortable walking around town myself. There are several single women in houses in our neighborhood. People do not lock their doors. It's very safe. The quiet can be misleading especially if you live in a big city and come to the quiet country! But it really is just a quiet town in the Berkshires.

We are so glad you enjoyed our floating bed. It's true the bed is very large and we also had to leave enough room all around for a swing radius. Our living room/dining room area has plenty of seating for a nice work environment if you need one next time. Free wifi and plenty of coffee and teas!
