Nice hotel
Nice hotel, january not the time to go to Portugal but found this hotel comfortable, about a 15 minute walk from old town, shopping centre near bye which does food and a mcdonalds not too far away. Old town was mainly closed, there were 350000 there new year apparently.

Unique spot close to everything. Disappointed free advertised breakfast not available, restaurant not open, bar opened March 1st. Pool outdoors not open. Staff very attentive, responsive, helpful.

The staff are super friendly and worked very hard to make it a great stay for their guest. We stayed in off season but I recommend this hotel for a great sleep very close to a grocery store. Indoor pool was about 27.5 degree which was cool when you first get in but you can stay in for a couple hours.

Walkable to old town, really clean hotel and friendly staff. The beds were really comfy and we slept well every night. The little kitchen is fine for small snacks. We didn't use it except the fridge for drinks which was handy to have. The Wi-Fi was free and really good. The pool bar was expensive for beers although we did use it for convenience but after a day or so we decided to go to the supermarket across the road for drinks and snacks and we noticed a lot of people doing the same. It was our 10 year anniversary and reception bought us a bottle of champagne to our room which was very well received. The hotel has a spa with very reasonable prices, it also offers excursions bookable at reception. It offers a shuttle into town every hour free of charge which we didn't find out until our last day and 2 taxis a day later.. Room service is available at a small charge too. You can also borrow a iron from reception and the safe is charged per day and has a 10 euro deposit required. The hair dryers in the room are really good! Tip - make sure you use the card on your door for cleaning required or DND as we had a maid walk in on us twice we had forgotten to use it! 😆

Nous avons apprécié le calme de l'hôtel, les grands espaces de l'appartement, la propreté et l'amabilité du personnel, le billard (payant) et la proximité de la ville. Nous regrettons le manque d'équipement de la cuisine : pas d eggoutoir pour les pates, pas de poêle ni de quoi laver la vaisselle (eponge et produit a vaisselle).. un chauffage bruyant (nous l'avons coupé la nuit) La piscine intérieure est petite et peu chauffée. ..l'établissement manque d'équipement, une salle de sport serait un plus. Le petit dej était très bien mais quel dommage d'etre dans une pièce sans fenêtre et si sombre, alors que le bar de l'hôtel situé à côté est vide, lumineux et offre une meilleure vue.

Hotel location is excellent
When we arrived the gentleman who checked us in was very polite and professional. The room was lovely and clean. However the only thing that lets the hotel down a little is the blonde haired lady on reception she’s not very pleasant to deal with she’s abrupt, rolls her eyes and most defiantly doesn’t make u feel like she is willing to help. But all other staff seemed to go over and beyond to help. So maybe she could brush up on her customer care a little. I noticed she was abrupt to other guests as well. Would go back but just hope we don’t have to deal with that lady.

Nice hotel but wifi is a problem
Wifi is not included and buying hotspot cards for very poor wifi is something that can be fixed very easily. Except for this one issue, a nice hotel, clean and great location .

Un hotel completo di tutto
L'hotel si presenta con un arredamento molto classico ma completo di tutto. Abbiamo soggiornato 5 notti e siamo rimasti moderatamente soddisfatti. Lo staff alla reception è professionale e preciso ma non brilla per cordialità (quasi sempre eravamo noi i primi a salutare). Le stanze erano pulite ogni giorno (attenzione poiché l'orario è fino alle 17:30) ed erano ampie e provviste di tutto. Il cambio degli asciugamani avviene ogni 2 giorni mentre il kit (cuffie, saponi, shampoo, etc) viene fornito solo il primo giorno. La nota negativa riguarda la colazione. Al nostro arrivo abbiamo appreso che potevamo usufruire della colazione a buffet ad un costo di 8€ a persona. Abbiamo però avvisato (il giorno prima) che una delle persone aveva un problema di intolleranza alimentare e necessitava del latte di soia. La risposta dell'Hotel è stata che loro non disponevano del latte di soia e non erano in grado di procurarselo per il giorno dopo (!) Almeno abbiamo avuto la possibilità di acquistarlo in autonomia al supermercato di fronte. L’altra nota dolente è il buffet, assolutamente insufficiente e non al livello di un albergo 4 stelle. La frutta è sciroppata e la selezione di succhi o dolci, croissant, etc è limitata. Per questi motivi nei giorni seguenti abbiamo evitato di usufruire della colazione in hotel.

Fab hotel , lovely pool close to everywhere
I really enjoyed my stay here for the past week, the pool was lovely and the rooms were so clean and great air conditioning in the hotel. It is about a 15 minute walk to old town, we did this walk every evening and it was fine, hotel is located next door to a shopping centre also

Excellent hotel great facilities (snack bar, outdoor and indoor pool) and location, just a 10 minute walk to the old town beach and square. Rooms clean and spacious, great pool side view from balcony. Staff always helpful and polite. My fifth visit to Albufeira but my first stay in Solaqua but hopefully not my last. One of the best hotels of the 5 I have stayed in in Albufeira

Apartments were spotless throughout, rooms cleaned every single day and fresh towels provided. The pool bar was nice with resonabley priced food and drinks. could do with some more parasols around the pool. We enjoyed our stay and would give the staff top marks however would not return due to very poor soundproofing of the apartments we could hear every single sound from apartment above us which disturbed many a nights sleep.

Nice hotel close to supermarket & old town.
Ideal holiday location & can't fault the hotel amenities, staff & cleanliness. However, the mattress for the single bed a little worn & needed replacing & size of bed small. Main bedroom perfect.

Da wir häufig in Albufeira sind, war uns vor allem die Lage wichtig. Das Hotel befindet sich direkt neben dem Einkaufszentrum, in dem es alles für den täglichen Bedarf gibt (Supermarkt, Cafés, Apotheke,...). Der Strand und die Altstadt sind in ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Zimmer ist gut ausgestattet und sauber. Wir haben keine Verpflegung gebucht und uns selbst versorgt, es waren eine Küche sowie auch praktische Utensilien (Wäscheständer, Wischmop&Eimer, Bügelbrett) vorhanden.

Good value for the money
Very nice stay at this hotel. The room was spacious and the staff are nice. The hotel has an outdoor and indoor poolarea. The cleaning is satisfying, but they clean very late, often we would make dinner and then the cleaning staff would knock at our door. The kitchen was very well equipped and there is enough space for foodmaking, but it did not have a stove. The hotel is a 5 min walk from a shopping mall with a big foodstore and a 15 walk to "the strip" (with a lot of bars and restaurants) or to the beach. The old town is a 25 min walk away from the hotel. I recommend this hotel if you're going to Albufeira, it's good value for the money.

Solaqua is spotlessly clean, the 1-bed apartments are really spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable. Service at reception was always friendly and helpful. Food and drinks available by the pool all day, lots of sun loungers and the pool never got too busy. This was my second time staying and I'll definitely be back again!

Great deal on a lovely hotel
Solaqua turned out to indeed be a great deal at a beautiful hotel. When I first booked I was a bit skeptical and feared the deal was too good to be true. Unlike some of the bad reviews mentioned the hotel actually did look like the pictures. I enjoyed a lovely 4 day holiday here exploring the nearby restaurants, beaches, and water activities. Location- Solaqua is right across from a nice shopping center which has restaurants, a supermarket, and the usual beach shops. There's also a nice assortment of restaurants in walking distance if you continue walking past the shopping center (most don't stay open past 8pm even on the weekend so plan accordingly). The hotel is only about 8-10 minutes from Old Town. I used Uber/taxis, but there is also a little train you can catch. My only notes would be on the wifi and housekeeping. There is wifi, BUT it's only found in the reception area, lobby, and around the pool. The purchasing packages weren't bad, but it was annoying not being able to use wifi in your room. Housekeeping does do a really nice job of cleaning the rooms, but it takes forever. I'm not sure if there is a small staff, but my room on the second floor often didn't get cleaned until the late afternoon (not a dealbreaker).

Great location, right in the middle of the old town & the new town (1.5 km away from both). There is a small shopping centre 2 minutes walk away, mcdonalds, KFC etc within 5 mins walk. Really enjoyed the stay there.
