Wonderful place!!! Reception is so kind that they helped me a lot. I had great time there. Also the location is perfect to travel around great tourist places.

Awesome place. I'd stay there again!
The place was clean and very spacious! Our unit had 3.5 bathrooms, which was great for the 5 of us. We had our own pool and they gave us beach/pool towels. The resort/complex is beautiful and everything is new and contemporary. I'd definitely stay there again.

The location to the beach is unbeatable and the villa space is great! It was modern style with no carpet, rugs, plants to absorb sound so it was echoey and loud inside. The modern cabinet knobs were hard to use because they were so small which made opening the refrigerator and cabinets difficult. The backyard doors only opened one way so if the door was fully shut, whoever was outside would be locked out. With a couple adjustments, this place would be exceptional! The concierge was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Eateries in the area were tasty and well priced.

Hébergement pas propre du tout. Nous sommes arrivés les draps étaient sales, après avoir réclamé à la réception la dame nous a simplement donné 2 draps pour que nous fassions nous le nécessaire. Inacceptable. De plus les lavabos étaient bouchés et l’odeur des équipements de cuisine laissent à désirer.

Man märker att det är lågsäsong då få villor var uthyrda men också att varmvattnet, värme och kylskåp ej var på när vi kom. Åtgärdades dock nästa dag. Villorna är stora med massor med utrymme men få möbler så det känns ganska kallt. Köket ok med nödvändig utrustning. privata poolområdet är fint men inte speciellt privat. Poolen var kall men man hade inte förväntat sig annat. Trevlig golfbana i närheten.

The good: Spacious, has all the basic amenities including laundry, kitchen is reasonably well stocked, spacious bathrooms, spacious bedrooms. The pool is a bit cold but nice to have and the pool deck is spacious to lay out and/or to eat lunch/dinner. Close to beach. The bad: Very subpar/dated furniture - in fact the whole unit looked empty for the most part. Beds were VERY firm. There were ANTS! Tons of small red/black ants in the bedroom and in the kitchen/dining area. We told the resort staff about this and they mostly brushed it off. Certainly made no effort to address it. No cleaners to be found anywhere on site. The staff were friendly enough - we had a good experience but we did run into guests who had a lot of complaints about the service and the villas themselves. Overall a dated residence that is desperately in need of a facility upgrade and please do something about the ants.

Very big villa with spacious room, pool and yard. You only walk 5 min to go to the beach and you have a golf just beaide. Great for big family’s. The villa’s around beautiful a lot of windows,high selling and minimalist decor. They would need a bit of refresh and repairs. Would come back anytime.

Great Size Villa, Will be back again
Oct 21 - 7 Night Stay @ Salgados Our family holiday was great staying here, nice 5 mins stroll to the beautiful beach, where you could walk towards Albufeira way or the other way where you could find beach cafe/restaurants to enjoy. The grounds were well kept and tidy, the 3 bed townhouse we stayed in was so large, everything was there that we needed, A/C was very cold but we did not need it due to the weather, the pool was the only negative being so cold we could not use it. There are a few restaurants in walking distance, we only used the beach "Os Salgados" (best Sangria) as others were closed or fully booked, highly recommend "Don Dinis" about a 5 -10 min drive away for some great food and fantastic service, we hired a car to get to Albufeira and the airport, there was off street parking and private parting under the villa for 2 cars per villa so the car was not hot like an oven from being in the sun

Great villa in great location.
Great villas in a great location. The Villa is very nice and well equipped. The only downside is that the pool is not heated so ok during the summer but at other times, it would be cold. One other thing to watch out for is the villas are used for weekend weddings and you may experience music being played until 4 or 5 am at weekends as we did on one weekend from a Villa three doors away. Apart from that, great Villa.

Über die Jahre hat der Service recht abgenommen. Vermutlich auch wegen der Abtrennung vom Hotel Vidamar... Auch sollte man doch langsam an einigen Orten der Gebäude mal etwas investieren

The place is wonderful but plenty room to improve. Positive: I like the private swimming pool and it is only 5 mins walking to the beach. A good kitchen with plenty of options. Negative: Villas are good but maintenance is just so so. the lighting is not very bright and some sockets aren’t working. The patio doors are difficult to open/close. Overall I like it - but with a little bit extra care the place will simply be amazing.

Step Back in Service
After seven years of visiting the same 'resort' and staying in the same villa type, this year was certainly a 'step back' in the experience. The Villa was this year not part of the overall complex or hotel and facilities could not be used, daily cleaning reduced to once a week, small problems which were usually fixed needed constant hounding of staff. Thankfully being a regular visitor we could find our way around these, but the overall experience had it been our first time, maybe wouldn't have been as good or as forgiving.

Some of the outdoor furniture requires maintenance, umbrella shredded, few broken tiles in pool etc., curtains a little torn and old. But overall a great villa stay.

The property was very large and minimalistict with lots of space but not welcoming. The TV was way too small for the size of the room. The back door did not close properly and it took two-days from reporting to be fixed!!

The villa was amazing, plenty of room and had everything you need. Sad thing was the pool wasn’t heated but there’s still the indoor pools which were perfect

Lovely setting, great access to beach. Villas are private but easy access to hotel. Setting lovely and very peaceful. Staff helpful and enthusiastic Pools are too cold. Amenities starting to look tired. Very little information available, had to keep asking which can become hard work.

Beautiful area, the staff at this resort are the best I’ve ever seen, nothing is too much trouble, they really go out of their way to make sure you have everything you want or need!! Definitely 5 star service, can’t wait for our next trip here.

Amazing stay at Vidamar
All in all a fabulous hotel. Everywhere was spotless and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. There is an amazing very big pool and two smaller and quite warm pools for the kids. It was a bit tricky at times to find a free sun lounger in the afternoons but I guess you will get that anywhere in peak holiday season. There is a great supermarket about 5-10 mins walk from the hotel

The villa are really old, beds, painting, bathroom need to be renovated. The pool is nice, but really cold. Kids club is only for small kids, nothing is organised such as outside activities. Last but not least, staff isn't really pleasant, you really don't feel to be in a high end hotel. I will not come back. Quality price is definitely not there

We stayed in a so called luxury villa. The villa is beautiful and the outside area and the private pool is very nice. The problem is that it’s so wore down, the furniture are full of holes, huge stains etc. the apartment was very dirty at arrival, shower full of hair and soap, stains on walls, mirrors etc. and the cleaning did not approve during our stay even tho we complained. The beds are extremely uncomfortable, hard like a table almost and no top mattresses. The towells full of holes, no shelves, no tables, no chairs no where to put your clothes or belongings in bedrooms or bathroom. Lots of ants in kitchen, bedrooms and living room. The villas are mixed with private ones so our closest neighbor was working with a electric saw all day and evening, hotel couldn’t help cause of Portuguese law, only police could help. We did not receive our loyalty gift at arrival. The so called cleaning people just walks in from basement around 9 in the morning, so make sure u put up the no cleaning sign.. Villas are not a real part of hotel anymore , we could not put anything on the room, like restaurants bars, had to pay cash. Could not get fresh towels by pools etc. it’s our second stay at this worn down place, it was a bit dirty and worn down last time too but not this bad. we won’t come again and it’s too bad cause it’s a beautiful location.
