The place was very clean. Beds were not very comfortable could feel the inner coil springs when you sat/laid down on them.

Never stay there again
Room was reserved as non smoking and it stunk of smoke!! Bedspread stunk abd was in horrible condition. Old and dirty. Tv was very old. Room not very clean at all.

Donald, This is a smoke FREE hotel and I assure you no one before you smoked in that room. The comforter is not even 4 months old and the room is very clean according to all the other guests who have stayed in there. Are you sure your reviewing the correct hotel? Why would you even stay in a room if it's so bad? You had several chances to tell me as you went in and out of the building but you did not say a word..Why? Well sorry you disliked stay.

Would have been better with a earlier breakfast, we left early. I know having no control of the varmints outside, but the flying bugs were terrible.

Yes I know the state of iowa released a report about the bugs out side and it was because of a weather change we had a couple weeks ago. Thank you for your comments and review.

This was a quiet, nice place to stay. Within walking distance to the Grotto! Staff was very friendly and the breakfast and coffee was very good.

This is a tired old hotel in much need of repair. The carpet in the hallways is stained beyond cleanability. The man who checked me in was pleasant enough, but the children who worked the desk during the day would not make eye contact and grunted answers to my questions. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The "Continental breakfast" was coffee and packaged processed pastries (nothing I, as a diabetic could eat). This property is inexpensive and I am grateful I had not paid more for it.

Thank you for your review James. Yes as you had to notice the buckets and fans the ice machine did flood some of the hallway and until the carpet cleaning company arrives it does look bad. But saying the hotel is in need of repair due to a carpet stain is a bit much.

It was a good location. It didn't have a good breakfast and tv was old and channels were limited. There was no eggs, just sweets and some of them tasted old.

Within walking distance to the Grotto. Large conference rooms. Very clean room. Didn't like the view from window. The parking lot was very small and unfinished

I just received this review today 9-16-21 and it shows you posted it on 8-16-21 Just For The Record. We are sorry you did not the handicap roll in shower. I believe we could of moved you to a different room if you requested it. Please let us know so we can let you have a comfortable stay with us next time.

Place to contemplate
Room was clean enough. Staff is friendly. A big dog welcomes you by the door. There is a small ref but no microwave and coffee maker in the room. Bathroom is senior and disable friendly. There is ice machine on the premises. The hotel is a quarter mile walking distance from the Shrine of the Redemption in West Bend. We stayed 2 nights. Housekeeping changed our towels before the second night . Overall, the stay was relaxing. We had a chance to attend mass at the Shrine Church. The corn fields on the back side of the hotel add to the relaxation of the place. One thing we recommend…please have housekeeping scrub the inner upper part of the toilet bowl. There is grime that developed over time. This is unit 108. Thanks for hearing is out.

We did not get to stay due to an emergency and was graciously given our money back. A coffee pot would have been nice and even a microwave as was difficult or even feasible to find a place to eat in West Bend. But the proprieter was congenial and returned our money. And we thank him.

Thank you for your review. As i mentioned we do not have coffee pots in the rooms nor do we advertise that we do and a microwave can always be arranged. We do have a great restaurant in town called The Wagon Wheel and other places to eat also as I mentioned when you checked in.

Nice warm pool with toys for the kids. Staff went above and beyond to accommodate. Simple but sufficient breakfast. Very clean and quiet.

The room was nice and big, and overall clean. Stains on the pillows and mattress. The hot tub was all boarded up but there were signs all over telling you the rules of the hot tub. Might be good idea to take them down. There was a micro fridge in the room but no coffee maker. I am a real early riser and they didn't have coffee in the lobby till 7:15. It was a very good location, just a block from the Grotto, and easy to find. I probably will stay there again but I will go to Casys to get coffee.

Was right across the street from Grotto, so location great. Made sure to get hotel with pool, spa, and breakfast. which said they had all but spa was covered with wood not working and breakfast was not out when supposed to be had to go to gas station. We were put in a handicap room so taking shower was horrible. ask to have different room and was told we were put in that room because it was big enough for our family which consisted of 2adults and 2children so no different room. Also owners had pets so there was a ton of poop all over outside, left my windows cracked and had flies all over in my car. Owners were very nice but when you're paying for something that doesn't cut it

Now this review is an out right LIE. We do Not advertise to have a spa in the pool area and breakfast hours are clearly posted and is set out 10 minutes before. Your reservation was for 2 people and check in is at 4pm. You showed up at 1:40pm with 4 people expecting a room while we were still cleaning. YOU NEVER ASKED for a different room and deliberately FLOODED the entire bathroom floor. That room is rented often and has a low flow shower head; I have never seen it like the way you left it before. For the record there is not ANY poop around outside. I know the property is to have sympathy when replying and say were sorry but not today.
