Beautiful Hotel. Clean and the use of the Ancient Baths was an added experience. The staff really tried their best to service me in English. I am not fluent in Spanish. Having the bi-lingual staff added good customer service.

I stayed in room 203 and felt it was an example of design over function. The toilet and shower were in an opaque glass box in the room but you could still see into the shower. I was travelling alone but anyone sharing a room might not like it! Also, there was nowhere to hang longer items like a coat or a dress (the wardrobe didn’t have a long section). No full length mirror either. Nice toiletries but no tissues. “Smart” toilet like those in Japan - but I didn’t fancy trying the various options! The breakfast was lovely - lots of choice and a great view of the Alcazaba.

BEWARE: After 45 minutes trying to find this place after dark on old narrow streets we found their very small sign, but NO PLACE to unload or check in. It appeared perhaps unsafe. We called but could not understand where to find their parking and we simply gave up after learning we would have to walk a few blocks if we ever found their parking. Get there early and plan to walk if you can even find this place, but I would NOT recommend it. We gave up and stayed at HC Marriott.

My wife and I extended our trip to Almeria to experience the luxury of AIRE Hotel & Ancient Baths. The hotel impressed us with its chic decor, upmarket vibe, and English-speaking staff. The room was comfortable, and the rooftop pool offered a cool place to relax. The underground spa was the highlight, with an incredible couples massage by Cristina and Lucina. The spa had various pools and relaxation areas, providing a truly indulgent experience. Although we were disappointed not to receive the complimentary wine as advertised on Expedia, our overall stay was still enjoyable. The hotel's location was convenient, allowing us easy access to town, the beach, and the Alcazaba.

Good & Not so.
We couldn’t stand / move in the shower so had to put a towel on the floor to stop us slipping. Black stuff kept coming out of the sinks and one got blocked, but it was dealt with quickly by staff. Tiles need to be non slip. We loved the view from room 303 but sadly the noise from construction on the hill wasn’t pleasant. It is the only room with a private terrace but we spent most of our time there asking people to leave us alone. Perhaps stronger info or a small gate ? We had to leave our private space more often than we would have wished due to these visits. The staff are great and always helpful. Despite the few things we have mentioned the hotel does the job, we would defo stay again we enjoyed the square and Hotel being in a good position in town.

Een prachtig boutiquehotel met een dakterras waarop het ontbijt wordt geserveerd. Je verblijft midden in het centrum op een historisch plein. Vanaf het dakterras heb je uitzicht op het fort en de sterren. We hebben er in de avond op een ligbed aan het zwembadje gelegen, een glas wijn in de hand. De medewerkers zijn supervriendelijk. De juniorsuite was prachtig! Dit hotel is een aanrader!

Mina and Ramon at the front desk were so helpful! We needed guidance on where to park and Ramon really took care of us. The spa experience was relaxing and calm. I would definitely recommend!

VERGONZOSO. Se nota que hicieron la terraza en la última planta y por apurar luego metieron tres habitaciones (301,302,303 huid de ahí). Es vergonzoso, el suelo es igual que el de la piscina, de tarimas de madera exterior desgastada y la puerta de la habitación da directamente a las mesas donde dan el desayuno. Literalmente abres la puerta y a metro y medio tienes a dos comensales que pueden ver todo lo que tienes dentro de tu habitación, mejor no abras la puerta en bañador para ir a la piscina en ese momento. Para preparar el desayuno se pasan desde las 5 de la mañana moviendo muebles, limpiando cubiertos, etc...y cuando comienzan a llegar los huéspedes escuchas hasta el tintineo de las cucharas de café y la música ambiente de la terraza. El ruido de la calle, parece que estés tú también en los bares. Cogimos este hotel pensando que al ser spa el silencio sería mayor y no nos importaba pagar algo más, me parece vergonzoso que siquiera tengan permiso para tener esa habitación ahí, indignante.

Ubicación excelente. Personal amable excepto la chica del checking que estaba cabreada y fue muy seca. La habitación: ruido de fondo constante de un motor de algibe o algo similar. El agua de la ducha no estaba suficientemente caliente. La cisterna del wc goteando. Y la habitación en general le hace falta un pintado y csmbio de muebles. Por otra parte, para ir a la habitación, habia que salir a un pasillo de un patio descubierto y hacia frio esos dias. La puerta de acceso a ese pasillo estaba siempre abierta y la calefacción del resto del edificio se escapa...... Creo que es un desperdicio enorme. Y luego, tuvimos que pedir papel higiénico porque no lo reponian....

The hotel shower was loose and water didn't flow properly. Reported 1st night Wifi..didn't work ..reported right away..no resolution Weird bathroom set up..glass door between toilet and bedroom but if turned light on in bathroom could see person using facilities. Ok if traveling by oneself but not if more than you. No conditioner in shower,asked for some,none arrived. Took dirty paper coffee cups and didn't replace with clean ones so not able to use coffee maker. Overall,disappointed in hotel considering they are supposed to be a 4star facility.

Varning för ”lyx” och dyra onödiga avgifter
Dyrt och ger sken av att vara lyxigt. Dock så håller det inte hela vägen. Trots att jag var där som guld/VIP-kund var det ingen bra service eller guldkant på besöket. Dels ett dyrt pris för boendet, men också tillkommande dyra avgifter för parkering, frukost och inträde till spa. Jag tycker att man som gäst borde absolut få inträde till spa-lokalen, speciellt om man är där som VIP/Guld-kund, men det fick man inte. På mitt rum var det kvarglömt städutrustning och kvitto från tidigare gäst. Vattenskada i golvet från en dusch som skulle verka lyxig, men inte smart byggd då vattnet ledde ut mot trägolvet utanför. Skulle få en flaska mousserande som välkomstgåva, men det fick jag inte. Jag påtalade det och bytte den uteblivna flaskan mot frukostavgiften, det var det mest positiva att de ändå gick med på det. Frukostlokalen är extremt trång. Att lägga till frukost i bokningen skulle kosta ca 30euro extra i hotels-appen. I efterhand är jag väldigt nöjd att jag inte betalade det för att frukosten här verkligen inte värd 30euro, den var standard och inte alls speciell.
