Reasonably priced
Generally reasonable at the price we had paid. Only the mattress requires replacement as the springs are worn out. Wifi useless.

Reception are not friendly. have to wait long without anybody entertain while there is around 4 to 5 people in the reception area.

Old and un-maintain
Some basic facilities in room are uncomplite. Morning breakfast was terrible, you can find remnant food on sofa and I also found on the coffee cup, plate, bowl, and spoon. I wonder how they wash and clean.

Old with a stench of smell
Check in: Very slow, and had to pay additional MYR50 for early check in even though rooms were available. Took about a good 30 minutes to check me in. Room: Secured by only a key which was dangerously bad. Beds were old and sunken. Felt like sleeping in an old rusty motel. Toilet water is useless and there were so many ants and a foul smell from the bathtub. AC vents was covered in thick layers of dust. And there was a terrible stench of foul smell on the beds. Breakfast: Acceptable Accessible to shops nearby. Hotel services: Everything was charged even for a bucket of ice. This is always free in most hotels and boutique hotels. Hotel surrounding: too insecure due to location being surrounded by weird folks Check out: Slow Will I return: Definitely NO!

Personal nicht besonders zuvorkommend. Es muss für alles extra bezahlt werden. Keinen Geld-Wechselservies obwohl es nahe an der Grenze zu Thailand liegt und viel Reisende auf der Durchreise dort stopp machen. Keine internationalen Steckdosen. Keine Tee oder Kaffee angeboten auf dem Zimmer. Das ganze Inventar, samt Matratze müssten erneuert werden.

The room is dated. The hotel needs to be refurbished. Walking into the room is like walking into a time tunnel, taking u back into the 90s. even the room deco is dated.

Room and staff
Room was comfy, we have very helpful and friendly staff attending to us. Except when we requested for the hair dryer, it never came.

Alor Star is a small city, therefore, I wasn't expecting a Grand Hyatt or Hilton quality. However, I was hoping for Holiday Inn or Ramada standards. Instead, my overall experience was equivalent to Motel 6.
