Clean, neat and fine price hotel.
It was a clean and neat hotel. My room had 2 bed rooms, 1 toilet and kitchen. There were refrigerator, dish washer and a microwave in the kitchen. One thing different from the description from the website was swimming pool. I was not able to find it though it was one of the reasons for booking. Anyway I am satisfied with the room and nice people there. I want to visit there again.

The Staff at the Alphotel displayed an amazing degree of compassion as we faced a very tragic personal loss during our stay. They went beyond what was needed or expected to assist us in our time of crisis and were nothing but caring, kind and considerate as we dealt with our tragedy.

Very clean and presentable property, friendly staff and amazing views to the mountains from the room. Great breakfast too. Didn't use the pool. Ideal to have a car to stay here as not much about but the hotel, thats all we needed.

We (2 adults and 3 children) stayed in the top floor apartment which has two bedrooms, bathroom and a kitchen. The apartment was immaculate and so comfortable. It was fun for us to stay in the attic and we loved the gorgeous outlook. Breakfast was delicious, the owners were helpful and the village is beautiful. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend it.

Läget är fantastiskt vid Oberammergau. Ett stort kloster med en underbar basilika. Många vandringsvägar. 12 km från hotellet finns Ludwig II sagoslott som han hade själv.. Linderhof måste besökas. Efter vandringar väntar bastu o inomhuspool på 12m

They put me in a room with a single bed and I reserved double. It was hot! After my inquiry they miraculous found a room with bigger bed even though I was told the whole hotel had no available rooms.

Helt ok. Läget i Ettal är bra. Något lyhört och inte den skönaste sängen men ok. Högljudd bussgrupp störde utanför rummet. Frukosten var även den helt ok.

Could be a great hotel if managed right
While the hotel lies beautifully in the mountains the bed was the worst I've ever had in a hotel. Mattresses were very old and even though we had booked a room for two we had to get the second towel and blanket out of the shelf ourselves. The lady at the breakfast didn't speak any German, English or Spanish and couldn't explain us anything. Internet is not free but sells for 2 Euro per device.

When awaiting middle-european and getting russian, not what was expected. Terrible "gym", spa? Elevator was unauthorized. View was beautiful.

I liked this place. Personnel tried to speak English, even it was difficult. Russian they spoke fluently, due to other quests was Russian. Balkony on room was big plus. Comparing to other Gasthaus in tien, this was quite expensive.

Ενω ειχαμε ενημερώσει οτι θα φτάσουμε αργά για το check in δεν υπήρχε κανενας στην reception και το ξενοδοχειο ηταν κλειδωμένο στην εισοδο του.ειμασταν τυχεροί γιατι βρήκαμε ένα ζευγάρι που έμεναν σε αυτο και μας άνοιξαν να μπούμε μεσα.κανενα τηλέφωνο έκτακτης ανάγκης που είχαν δεν λειτουργούσε .καποια στιγμή πέρασε ενας επόπτης απο την reception για να ελέγξει κατι και οταν του ειπαμε οτι ειχαμε κρατηση μονο που δεν μας έβρισε.μας είπε οτι ηταν εκτος σεζόν και οτι το ξενοδοχειο ηταν κλειστό .τελικα μας έβαλε σε ένα δωμάτιο με μισή καρδιά.ηταν η χειρότερη εμπειρία που ειχαμε στην ζωή μας γιατι εκείνη την ωρα κανενα αλλο ξενοδοχειο δεν υπήρχε στην περιοχή να μας εξυπηρετήσει .παρολα αυτα ειναι ένα ωραίο κατάλυμα αλλά το δωμάτιο δεν είχε δυνατή θέρμανση με αποτελεσμα να μην νιώθεις την ζεστασιά που θα περίμενες μεσα στα χιόνια

Great stay!
Originally had booked a 2 bedroom apartment but it wasn't available due to a burst pipe. Hotel staff were great about accommodating us in regular rooms and making sure we were comfortable. Kids loved the pool, hotel had amazing views of the mountains!

Insgesamt macht das Hotel einen gepflegten Eindruck. Allerdings sind in den Zimmern die Matratzen alt und durchgelegen. Man spürt die Sprungfedern durch. Hinzu kommt,dass die angegebenen Frühstückszeiten ab sieben Uhr nicht stummen. Von sieben bis halb acht wurde nur eine Gruppe Chießen in den Frühstücksraum gelassen, alle anderen Gäste mussten vor dem Raum eine halbe Stunde warten. Hinzu kommt, dass die Chinesen ein ganz einfaches Frühstück bekommen haben,ohne Obst ohne Brötchen und als die anderen Gäste hinein durften, die Brötchen, das Obst und der Kuchen hervorgeholt wurde. Man bekam den Gedanken eins Zweiklassenfrühstücks, was absolut ein Unding ist.

Hard bed and bad pillow
The bed was REALLY hard. Although European beds tend to be harder than American ones, this one was almost unsleepable. However there was a great view and great breakfast. The staff was friendly. Altogether not a bad place that I would stay again. But be ready for a hard mattress.

Good hotel in excellent location
We originally booked and payed for an apartment but due to maintenance issues, the hotel substituted the apartment for two individual rooms sharing a balcony and threw in a complimentary breakfast. Breakfast had a good range of choices and nice surroundings, but service had much to be desired since we waited 15 minutes for someone to come wipe down the table we were going to sit at even though we brought it to the attention of front desk several times. While an additional discount would have been a good gesture for their mistake with not giving us the original apartment we booked, we were overall happy with the hotel and stay. Beautiful view and Ettal is a very charming village. Definitely recommend.

Värsta tänkbara bemötande
Var på genomresa med min familj. Det fanns inget stort rum ledigt så vi bokade ett vanligt 2 bädds rum. När vi kom dit var det helt ok att vi gjort det och vi checkade in. Barnen sover ändå alltid tillsammans med oss. Kvinnan som tog emot oss var väldigt trevlig i sitt bemötande. Dagen efter när vi skulle checka ut så var det helt omvänt. Då hade vi bokat fel rum, extra kostnader för rummet skulle betalas, extra för frukost (vilket jag kan förstå) och när jag motsatte mig att man inte nämnt något om detta vid incheckning så sa personen att jag ringer polisen och därefter lyfte han på telefonen. Stämmingen var allmänt otrevlig! Upplevelsen blev därmed sämsta tänkbara och priset de ville ha extra var inte högt men bemötandet katastrofalt! Dessutom var frukosten dålig då mycket var slut när vi skulle äta. Personalen åt själv vid frukosten och när vi båda var färdiga så plockade han fram ny mat men då var vi redan färdiga. Vill inte rekommendera någon att boka detta hotell!

Gutes Hotel in den Alpen
Ettal ist ein toller und ruhiger Ort mitten in den Alpen. Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Lage mit einem super Blick auf die Berge der Umgebung. Das Frühstück war ohne Beanstandung. Der Aufenthalt ruhig und erholsam. Das Personal ist nett und freundlich.

A little piece of Paradise.
Looking out out the back door of our room at the Alp's foothill's was fantastic. Low hanging clouds, water falls and shear beauty. The town of Ettal was beautiful. We walked through the meadows leading to the mountains. I have been to some pretty places in my life but for me this was the most beautiful and pleasant of all. Mind you that this was in early May.
