Ok but not great.
They had the cheapest cable & we couldn't find anything to watch. The one thing we could have watched was on a channel that wasnt working. One or two more chairs would have been nice as well.

The room smelled bad, the water drain in the shower was clogged, no tissues in the tissue box, and the wall in the bathroom had a hole in it.

room had a musty smell, bathtub drain clogged, hot water barely there. AND because I stepped outside to use my medical marijuana and left the ash cup on the dresser THEY ARE FALSELY ACCUSING me of smoking IN the room, I smoked OUTSIDE the room on the walkway AND I am being punished for having a SMALL amount of ashes from 1/2 small joint in a cup with water? I am protesting the charge.

The bathrooms where not cleaned properly. The room smelled of cigarettes. There was a coffee can outside the room with cigarette buts in it. The pictures on the website are way off. The place looked nothing like the pictures.

Sorry my housekeeper didn't clean the bathroom to your standards, No we are changing thing's within the rooms and property so we resemble our pictures. And yes we have purposely placed but can's through out the property to help other guest us them instead of smoking in the room's or using the hotel property as a ashtray.

They are renovating. I hope they get that done. It is cheap and should be at this time. Very frustrating.

renovation's are not cheap and are time consuming we are hoping to get the majority of the 1st floor done by beginning of summer 2022 then start on the second floor

You Get What You Pay For...
I certainly don't fault the operators, they are doing their best, but I would say that the chain could help out a bit more with the upkeep. I've stayed here before, and so I didn't expect perfection. The good: room was clean, and staff did their job. The bed was comfortable. The desk people were very nice and professional. The not-good: no phone in the room, desk lamp listed at a scary angle and was a fire hazard, the TV/Cable reception was hazy, snowy and poor audio quality. The room needs a serious renovation, in fact the hotel really does as a whole. It's good if you are here to overnight or just to sleep.

The price was good. It was conveniently located. However, the property is old and worn out. The carpeting and furniture were dirty. The bedfing was threadbare. The bathtub was old and worn and the faucet/shower control was coming out of the wall. Note: the property is undergoing major remodeling. Our room hadn't been touched yet. Maybe it will improve once renovation is completed.

The room needed updating. The bed was very comfortable. But, the bathroom needed some updating. The shower wall was cracked and the door frame around the inside of the bathroom was old and was needing to be replaced. The "Smoke Free" room smelled like stale cigarette smoke. The furnishings in the room were like 1950's style. The curtains and entry door were very dated as well. There were no outlet plugs near the bed and night stands location. There was an extention plug with several plugs availble on the two drawer dresser. There was NO hair dryer, or coffee/ tea maker in the room. The drain plug in the sink was missing, and the tv had very poor reception it was very snowy and/or looked like dual screens over top of each other. The initial desk person was infoming me that I would need to place a deposit of $200.00 on my credit card for any damages caused to the room, since I resided within 50 miles of the hotel, and that it would be returned after the maid cleaned the room. After I informed her that I resided over 110 miles away and/ or that it was at least a 2 hour drive to the hotel, she then indicated that this rule did not apply to me. I did have to initial and sign a form stating that I would be charged for any damages that may be caused by children or pets, which also did not apply to my husband, or I. There was nothing mentioned about breakfast or the time in the a.m. so we were not aware that breakfast was available to us.

Sorry but we treat everyone the same due to a lot of sneaky people. We will eventually put more amidites in the rooms but until we get further in our progress in room repairs those amenities' haven't been installed into the rooms we do have hair dryers and iron's and ironing boards at the office for guest's to request. I apologize for my new associate she learning the area of local renter's rules as well to let guest know what is available to them.

Saying the property is very dated and needs major renovation is being nice. A complete demolition and rebuild would be required for this property to meet modern albeit developing nation standards. The only thing that was good was the late night check in lady. She very polite and friendly.

Was very disappointed. Have stayed here in past, but the hotel has definitely gone down hill. The desk had a broken drawer and the mirror had a big crack in it. The stairway to the 2nd level was filthy. We told the maid we would be out of the room by 11:30, but she just handed us clean towels and never came back to clean the room or make the bed. Overall very disappointed. Will not stay here next year when we visit family in Altoona.

This does not appear to be a legitimist complaint their is no information provided as to where or when. this person stayed as too a room number or name. We have a double system of inspections a house keeper and supervisor who checks rooms if could get better information we could reply more specially to the issue. we take complaints seriously and we review this our staff. the internet serves a wonderful function the problem is that anyone can make a review booking.

I thought the room was okay, it was clean. But the smell was horrible. We had a non smoking room but it reeked of cigarettes so bad. I use a cpap at night and once I returned home and used my cpap it smelled of the room. The staff was very friendly and nice.

The property was very old and in need of repair. The room had a terrible odor and smelled like someone had smoked many packs of cigarettes in it although it was a non-smoking room. When we turned on the heat, it smelled like we were burning toast. The hot breakfast only had waffles. No meat, no milk for the oatmeal. No stopper in the bathroom sink, hair on the sheets on both beds. Only one sad looking apple was available for fruit for both mornings. Staff was pleasant. Would not stay here ever again. The property was 100 years old.

We didn't stay long enough to find anything that we liked about the property when we realized that the rooms were not properly cleaned and it appeared as though they were bed bugs.

I checked into 2 rooms. One room was clean enough. The other room was disgusting like someone had just got busy in the bed. I smelled horribly and there was a pillow missing on one of the beds. It was so bad i did not stay in that room and asked for a refund. Which i did not get. Overall Horrible service.

Room was old and very run-down. Floor was dirty. No handle o sink drain to open and close. Toilet didn't flush well, sometimes took three flushes. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke. When bathroom light turned on , fan started; it would bind and "scream" very loudly for the time on. Room was hot and a/c inefficient. List of tv channels didn't match what came up. I hadn't driven all day from NC to PA, I'd have asked for my money back and looked for a room elsewhere.

Overall, not too bad
We were there on business. Overall, everyone was incredibly helpful and nice. The exceptions for the room were we had to go down and get an iron, ironing board, coffee maker and hair dryer. Our tv had 3-4 channels and no one got up to reset the cable box. I was a little upset over that.

The room was very dirty, moldy curtains, dingy floor, dirt behind the beds. Holes in the walls. Itchy blankets. Mattress was flimsy. The staff was very nice. There were drug deals going on outside of the hotel.
