Location & Hotel Perfect

Location right in the heart of Amsterdam, 5-10 min walk from Train Station. The staff were really helpful and polite. The hotel might not be the Ritz but it’s not claiming to be. The rooms were basic but the beds were comfy. Bathroom was tidy and the shower was hot and powerful. Towels were included. If you do struggle with stairs then this place isn’t for you because there is no lift.

Resepsiyondaki türk eleman çok yardımseverdi. Odalar vasat ama lokasyon mükemmel. Dam ve tren istasyonu arasında heryere yürüme mesafesinde. Odalarda sigara içiliyor. Arkadaşlarla gece uyumak için kullanmak için Tasarlanmış bir ”otel”. Asansör yok 3-4 kat bavul taşıman gerekiyor. (yan taraf coffeeshop)

期待はしてはいなかったけれど、写真とのギャップがあった。セキュリティ面も少々怖く、大事な物を置いて行くには心配で持って出かけた。駅からは近くて良いのだけど、それだけでした。

If you want something super cheap and in a really good central location then this is definitely your place. But if you care about the quality of a place than you just need to spend more money.

Does what u expect cheap

Great location. Staff friendly.. Basic room.. No kettle tho!!!!!!!!! But did give me hot water for tea... Sheets ect clean beds comfy... but old decor and shower.. Really good if not wanting luxury. But Basic room to stay.. Staff let us leave suitcases next day when we checked out...which was nice right in middle of Amsterdam

Booking the cheapest accom we found as a group of 4 uni students our expectations were low. But Ben really came through. Amazing location, comfy beds, hot shower and lovely service. Would happily return.

Got the last room in town

Location is great, right between Centraal Station and Dam and many shops. However also being near Redlight district means quite a bit of roudy street noise. Nevermind that though. My woe was the pricing was expensive for the no frills value recieved. The old dingy nonsmoking room smelled of stale smoke and no breakfast included to soften the experience. While Ben Hotel served the purpose of somewhere to sleep, next time I'll book earlier to try for any of the other accommodations in the area.

Substandard. We were disappointed.

Stayed in an extremely small double room with private bathroom. Room looked onto a courtyard with pigeons nesting in it. Multiple times pigeons tried flying into our room. Because of this we had to keep our window closed all weekend and in 30 degree heat this was unbearable!! The bathroom was tiny and my 6ft6 partners legs touched the wall when using the toilet :( we asked to move rooms but were told there were no others available. The room had no clothes storage and just one electric outlet situated above the bed. We had to pay a €20 returnable deposit for tv remotes but the tv had no signal anyway! The WiFi didn’t work. Only good thing I can say about this hotel really is that the location is brilliant. Cheap hotel for the location but still substandard in my opinion. Have visited Amsterdam 7 times (always on a budget) and unfortunately this was the worst hotel yet. It was my boyfriends birthday whilst we were there and we were disappointed to say the least.

we Always say if you need something then ask,the wifi works here perfect,do probally its your Phone,we have electric extension cables an plugs,we also have an tecnical guy here 24 hours so if something is not working then tell it to us instead of complaining when you are gone.we could not change the room because we were full,we wanted to give your money back minus the comission wat we have to pay on expedida an that you also did not want.we also had it very hot that weekend in Amsterdam,the reception was 36 degrees.

En god oplevelse under simple forhold

Forholdene var simple, men vi havde heller ikke brug for det helt store. Der var ikke en elevator på hotellet, men vidste fra anmeldelser af hotellet, at der var mange trapper, så det var vi forberedt på, og vi var ikke generet af det overhovedet. Vores værelse lå lige ud til en befærdet gade, og jeg var overrasket over, hvor meget lyd derfra man kunne høre, selv med vinduet lukket - også fra de lidt utidige kirkeklokker, der ringede på løjerlige tidspunkter. Jeg var bekymret for, at vi ikke ville kunne falde i søvn, men det var aldrig et problem, fordi vi var så trætte hver aften efter mange begivenhedsrige timer i Amsterdam, at vi faldt i søvn med det samme. Men selv ellers ville jeg bare kunne have brugt et par ørepropper, og så havde problemet været løst. For øvrigt hørte jeg aldrig noget til vores naboer, selvom alle værelser var bemandede. Personalet på hotellet, især dem, der bemandede disken, var altid meget søde og hjælpsomme. Jeg følte mig altid godt behandlet. Beliggenheden var perfekt og i gåafstand til alt, vi gerne ville nå at se og opleve. Det kunne i hvert fald ikke være bedre. Jeg var lidt skeptisk, inden vi ankom, men min skepsis blev gjort til skamme, for Hotel Ben holder ganske enkelt, hvad de lover. Det var i det hele taget en god oplevelse; man skal bare ikke forvente et 4-stjernet hotel med morgenmad og det hele. De holder sig til det minimale, men mere havde vi heller ikke behov for, så jeg er meget tilfreds.

Good basic accommodation in the centre of the City

Good hotel in a central location. Ideal for trips with friends and an ideal base to go and explore the sights of Amsterdam. Accommodation was basic but that was fine.

Best Hotel for value!

Hotel is in a fantastic location and it was very cheap also, we chose private room so we had our own shower & toilet. Receptionist was very helpful and informative on local trains for certain sights to visit. Highly recommend this. This is my third visit to the Dam and i shall look to stay here again.

Om du har krav på ditt boende sluta läs NU. Långa smala trappor(5 våningar, ingen hiss). Inget varmvatten i dusch. 2 lakan och en stor filt som täcke. Lutande sängar. Lyhört, om du får ett rum mot gågatan kan du räkna med att somna vid 04-05 tiden (mycket liv utanför). På detta "rökfria" boende var det helt rökfyllt av hasch i alla utrymmen. Ett mycket slitet boende.

Budget, no AC or elevator, lots of steep stairs

Visited in August. Booked this hotel because this site said it had air conditioning. We checked in & paid for 3 nights, climbed SO MANY steep stairs to our room (No elevator) & discovered our room was horribly hot. Opening the window to the sun only made things worse. At first, Reception did Not want to refund my money. I showed him my receipt from this site & he eventually agreed to a refund & we moved next door to XO. The good thing about this hotel is the location: 2 blocks from the train station & right in the middle of party central. Noise from the streets is an issue, but if you don’t mind, it’s a good location, just don’t plan on being in your room at all, or bring a lot of fans!

Not cheap and not clean. 4 floors no elevator. Only 1 key for 4 people and a 10 € deposit. They asked us to pay in cash, to bring more than 400 € in cash ? 5€ extra for paying with credit card!!
