I had visited Kalkan on four previous occasions and enjoyed the lovely bar at the Elixir Hotel, although I had never stayed here. On a solo visit this time, I preferred a hotel over a villa, and booked a deluxe room at the Elixir. There are lots of choices in gorgeous Kalkan, but I made a very good decision. The room is perfect for me: spacious and chilled out with everything you need - exceptionally clean, lovely bed and bedding, delightful wood floor, two balconies (one with a spa tub), lovely and quiet… bliss. I’ve had better sleeps than anywhere else I’ve stayed in the last few years. The staff are amazing - thoughtful and attentive but not intrusive in any way. I would comment on the breakfast, but my sleeping has been so sound I failed to wake up for it for the last two days. This is an accolade as at home I tend to sleep poorly. Not at the Elixir though - exactly what a holiday is all about for me. You can spend a lot of time agonising over hotel choices, but if the Elixir Hotel is on your radar, don’t hesitate. Wonderful in every way and perfectly located. I’ll be back next year.

Great Stay at Elixir Hotel - Kalkan
We’ve just returned from a week’s holiday at the Elixir Hotel. It’s the 2nd time we’ve stayed there and it didn’t disappoint. We had a private transfer from the airport arranged by the hotel which was waiting for us at Dalaman. From the moment we arrived at the hotel to the time of our departure we received great service. We were offered a choice of rooms both which overlooked the room. All the staff were 1st class , from the reception / the bar staff / the guys and girls round the pool / plus the lovely people that prepared the breakfast/ lunch - not forgetting the housekeeping! Special thanks to Zeyneb and Atalay who were extra helpful and always very friendly. We couldn’t fault anything and will definitely consider returning in the future. Thanks to Ali / Selda and all your team for making our stay so enjoyable! Keep up the great work!!

Nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was nearing end of season so had rooms to spare. We were upgraded to top suite , our original superior room was lovely but this was just beautiful. Great selection of fruit, cheeses etc for breakfast and staff were very accommodating. We would definitely stay there again

Just returned from 8 wonderful relaxing days at the Elixir. Arrived at 2am and we were warmly greeted. Our room was lovely and everything we’d hoped for. Breakfast plentiful and great variety. Pool area beautiful with no shortage of sunbeds, any time of the day. Regularly ate/drank at hotel and never disappointed. Short walk into town with many restaurants/bars nearly. Had wonderful Turkish bath from Nur and Hakan, spa based at hotel. Didn’t see as much of Kalkan as we’d planned as Elixir offered everything we needed from a holiday. Huge thanks to Ali and his amazing team We will be returning ❤️ Date of stay: July 2019

Charming hotel and staff
Our first time in years in a hotel in Kalkan and it didn’t disappoint. A really personal level of customer service makes this hotel, they go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your time with them. Great pool, lots of loungers and a fabulous breakfast included. Try Menemen - Turkish omelette for breakfast, my absolute fav and was a real treat to have every day for breakfast. We would whole heartedly recommend this hotel and will go back!

This hotel is pure karma
Everything about this hotel is amazing. All the staff, from the owners to the waiters, to the lovely receptionist and the cleaners can’t do enough for you. All of them with smiles on their faces from morning breakfast to late at night at the bar for a bedtime tipple! The ambiance is peaceful and relaxing. The design and decor in the rooms is quite traditional with solid wood furniture. The bathroom is beautiful with a fabulous walk in shower.

Charming small hotel, good breakfast and pool. Staff friendly and helpful. About 10 min slightly uphill walk from the central area with shops and restaurants and another 5-10 min uphill from the marina and restaurants. The room was clean and nicely appointed, small balcony overlooking the pool.

Calm well run and perfect for Us
We struck lucky. The hotel is charming, the staff attentive, the breakfast cooked to order using fresh ingredients. We had a family suite and it was a decent size. It’s a short ride to town or a slightly longer walk and the beach clubs are all easy to get to. If you’re looking for glamour go somewhere else. This is about peace and relaxation

Fab boutique hotel in great location
Ali, Selda and team go over and above to make you feel welcome. Hotel has a lovely feel to it with its unique wooden structures, marble spiral staircase and splashes of turquoise throughout. Rooms are spacious, clean, beautifully designed and decorated. Great location away from the town but close enough to walk, if you don’t mind the hill!! Otherwise a short taxi ride into town at a fixed rate. Breakfast is a vast array, always fresh and an amazing selection. Pool area with day beds is fab if you fancy a day chilling. The Spa downstairs, Nur&Hakan, is lovely and would definitely recommend the Haman.

Quiet privately owned hotel with good facilities.
This is a well run hotel with good facilities and excellent staff. The rooms are well laid out and well supplied with soaps, razors, toothpaste etc. The pool area is great with a fairly big pool, large jacuzzi and a discrete area of sun beds which are actually placed into the pool. Bar facilities and food quality is great. Overall a good holiday destination. The hotel is a bit of a distance outside of the town centre, but taxis turn up in a couple of minutes, and it only costs 15 - 18 Lira to get into town or down to the harbour.

Fantastic Staff and Hotel
What a great first experience of Kalkan. The staff at the Elixir were absolutely wonderful, funny and kind - they made our stay feel like 5* luxury from the second we checked in. We met several other guests who go back to this hotel every year, and I can definitely see why. The food at the hotel is to die for !!!

Very pleasant small hotel
Staff exceedingly friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Menu is good , bar well stocked , pool great. Cannot praise it high enough and I am NOT related !

brilliant hotel with wonderful staff
We arrived after midnight to a very warm welcome from the receptionist and staff. Everyone was amazingly friendly and the service was excellent. Lovely room which was kept spotless by the cleaning staff. Thank you all for making our holiday extra special - and yes we will be returning.

Lovely boutique hotel
The hotel was lovely, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms had been refurbished, so they were light, bright and airy. I had a large room with a lovely bathroom. Breakfast was taken outside under the pergola with plenty of fruit, cereals and savouries. Eggs were cooked to order. There was good wi-fi coverage so I was able to use the Ipad inside and outside by the pool. The pool was well looked after and there were plenty of chairs and sunbeds. I would definitely go there again.

A little piece of heaven
This was my first trip to Turkey and Kalkan and as I was travelling with my father and two teenage girls, we had a real mix of generations - and the Elixir Hotel was a great choice ... The hotel was just lovely - situated on a hill so with great views and only 10 minutes walk from the harbour and beaches. The newly refurbished rooms were nicely decorated with modern bathrooms and spotless. The beautiful pool area was a fabulous place to relax or socialise at the bar run by 'Pumpkin', who was a terrific guy. In fact, the best asset to this hotel had to be the staff - we were so well looked after. The whole team were so friendly and could not do enough for you. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely go back...

TICKS ALL THE BOXES !
Fabulous little boutique hotel offering the very best service from all its friendly staff. Rooms spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Buffet breakfast offered great choice to suit all tastes. A little bit of a walk into the old town but once there you are totally spoilt for choice for fantastic little restaurants - many with roof terraces + fab views. A very restful but fun holiday. My only criticism of Expedia would be they suggest using Antalya airport which is a 3-4 hr transfer!! Its a fabulous coastal road drive but you would only want to enjoy it in daylight really. I would seriously consider flying into Dalaman for 90 min transfer next time.

Nice hotel, recently refurbished
The hotel has recently been refurbished to a pleasing standard. Bedrooms clean and nice décor, other rooms around the hotel also very pleasant. Pool area nice but pool not heated so nobody used it during the week we were there. Pleasant outdoor dining area, plenty of shade. Breakfasts were perfectly adequate though not a vast choice compared to that offered in some hotels. Food was covered with cling film to keep flies off. Omelettes, scrambled eggs etc were exceptional good - cooked to order and always hot and nicely presented. However, staff rarely used tongs or spoons and frequently handled food with their bare hands, including the ice put into drinks at the bar. Several people had stomach upsets whilst we were there. Staff were friendly but not overly professional. Hotel 10-15 minutes walk from the centre of town along a gentle incline, but this made for a nice walk before or after eating out in town. Taxis readily available for around £4. Kalkan itself is a lovely town, very pretty harbour area, sheltered sea for swimming (pebbly beach) and numerous very pleasant bars and restaurants to choose from. The old town is particularly picturesque. Eating out is very reasonable, especially on the rooftop terraces. Getting around is cheap and easy on the dolmus (minibus style buses). Beautiful white sandy beach at Patara, 20 minutes drive away, very unspoilt & good café on the beach. Sunbeds & umbrellas reasonably priced. Nearby town of Kas also pleasant.

Not as good as billed
A solid 3.5 star hotel. Not as good as it has been billed on other sites. Points to note - - Found the furniture in the rooms a little tacky, however the bed was very comfortable - Bathroom was very nicely done - The pool area looked good but be aware the pool is very very cold, in fact colder than the sea - Good options at breakfast - Service was generally also good and with a smile bar the sullen receptionist Unfortunately it wasn't quite what I was looking for or expected, however if a cheapish break along with a hotel full of other British tourists and access to sky sports is what you're looking for, then this hotel is more than adequate.

Friendly relaxed hotel
Friendly staff, immaculately clean, good breakfast, lovely pool area though a little noisy at night in the bar area. The room had two armchairs which it didn't need and made it a little cramped. But overall very pleasant stay and good value

Zufriedenstellend. Hatte nicht das günstigste Zimmer gebucht, sondern eine Kategorie darüber. Wir bekamen somit zwar ein größeres Zimmer, das aber direkt über der Bar lag, aus der es meist bis ein Uhr Nachts lärmte. Umzug in ein kleineres Zimmer ging nicht, sodass wir trotz des guten Service das Gefühl hatten, zu viel bezahlt zu haben.

The Elixir Boutique Hotel - amazing service!!
We had the loveliest stay at the Elixir, and couldn't have been looked after better by all the staff. They were unobtrusive but always there to provide anything we wanted, even down to lending us a helmet for a scooter ride to the beach. By the time we left, we felt like family, in the best possible way. With just twenty one rooms, you won't feel overcrowded, the pool is beautifully sheltered from the wind (which can pick up at times) and the food in the restaurant is absolutely delicious. A top holiday! We will be back!
