And yes the South quarter of Antwerp is an early 20th century French quarter, we locals like to spend our time here with all the nice bars and good (more then 200) restaurants and yet so close to the historical part of the city. Very nice that you enjoyed our extended breakfast buffet with national and international delights and eggs made "à la minute". And the drinks in the Honesty Bar, are the beverages we also enjoy ;-) Thank you for your kind words and compliments.

En inderdaad, het Antwerpse Zuid is de tofste wijk van de stad, wij locals brengen er graag onze vrije tijd door in een lekker restaurantje, hippe galerie of gewoon in een gezellige bar! Dear Andreas Kohler, Thank you for reviewing your stay in our hotel. We like to make some things clear regarding your review. Our boutique hotel has 10 rooms, as mentioned on the booking page and on the welcome mail: we kindly request to ring the door bell when you arrive. The front door is always closed for your and our safety (which our guests in general appreciate). Some days for your arrival we have send you an email to let us know your estimated time of arrival. You never replied... The day of arrival we tried to send you an sms, you never replied ... The moment you rang the doorbell, our receptionist opened the door for you, as we do for every guest. Unfortunately you did not have the kindness to wait for our receptionist to welcome you, you took one of the key cards which were already prepared out of our reception desk!!! We honestly don’t understand why you blame us. Nevertheless we hope you enjoyed the complimentary upgrade (we already gave you prior to arrival). Maybe a tip for a next travel: we think you did not choose the right kind of (boutique) hotel and advise you to visit a larger business hotel with an open door and a 24h reception. We are truly sorry about your experience, but we like to point on a shared responsibility.
