Great location, host and price
The location was great to everything. Our host was very helpful with providing us with information and any needs we wanted. Room was big with separate kitchen and dining table and living room.

Stilvolle Unterkunft in historischer Stadt
Mitten in der reizvollen Stadt haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein zuvorkommender Gastgeber, ein angemessener Preis. Es hat für uns Radtouristen alles gepasst. Wir haben sogar um einen Tag verlängert.

Character and Comfort. Felt like we lived there!
What a perfect place to stay while in Cortona. Our room at the Rugapiana Vacanze made us feel as if we were residents of this beautiful town. The room is cozy and spacious. Separate bedroom from living area and kitchen. Location right along the towns Main Street. A must stay!!

Excellent Cortona B & B
We had a great stay. Just one night but it was perfect as it was right in the heart of Cortona. You can get to everything very easily. I could not connect to their wi fi but which worked fine from other cafes in town. Minor. I would definitely recommend the B&B.

O recepcionista nos deu as informações sobre a cidade e não falou que não tinha água quente no chuveiro e na pia. Quando no dia seguinte comentei com ele, percebi que ele estava ciente do problema, ignorou e se despediu. Não deu nenhum desconto na diária e nem se desculpou pelo transtorno.

A little piece of heaven in Tuscany
We stayed at Rugapiana Vacanze based on recommendations from colleagues who stayed there in the spring. They loved it and we can totally see why. The place was charming - and on the main street of the town so close to everything! From the moment we checked in, we were also smitten with the B&B (and entire town of Cortona for that matter!). Massimo was a most gracious and helpful host. The only things that could have been improved upon was the shower head and noise level coming from the street at night and in the morning. Even with our windows closed, it was noisy.

Perfect for enjoy Cortona
Stayed at Rugapiana one night for enjoy and discover the beautiful small town Cortona. The location is perfect, the rooms are cosy and beautiful decorated and the host is very helpsome. There is no elevator - which is not to be expected in this very old building - so luggage has to be carried upp the stairs. Breakfast is served in a nearby cafe. This was our third stay at Rugapiana and we will come back to Rugapana when visiting Cortona again. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, we did not enjoy this hotel. While it is very spacious and in a great location in Cortona, the room is hot and dark. Also, the hotel staff was no where to be found, when we were told they would be in their office daily from 8:30 am to 10 pm. This was a huge problem for us at check out (10am) as the hotel staff did not get into the office until 11 am.

Overall our stay was great. It is a little misleading that the hotel is labeled a B&B but breakfast is not included. Also, the windows do not block any sound and the bars are loud until 4:30 am. It was a good location for sightseeing.

Nice old hotel right in the town area.
Easy access to the real flavor of old world Italy. Narrow cobblestone streets, wonderful restaurants, shopping.

Amazing historical Cortona
We enjoyed cortona a beautiful walled in town with flagstone roads historical with an amazing Etruscan museum and the stunning painting of the Announciation by Fra Angelico in the cathedral area

Cute apartment. Comfy bed.
Excellent room. Only downside was noise. We were told the street would be noisy in the morning but it was worse when the apartment under us was under construction (much to the disappointment of the owner)

Lovely Room, Perfect Location
The B&B is tucked away in a non-descript building on the main street of Cortona. The location is perfect, and the room itself charming. The proprietor, whose English is excellent, was gracious and entirely helpful in his explanations. It was a very comfortable and pleasant stay, and I would be happy to return.

buona sistemazione per una notte. abbiamo fatto un giro per Cortona e poi ci siamo spostati verso la Val d'Orcia. B&B carino, pulito, ben posizionato. Molte scale interne e niente ascensore, potrebbe essere di difficile utilizzo per qualcuno: dovrebbe essere indicato alla prenotazione. Bagno in camera ma molto piccolo e di difficile accesso.

Fantastico!
Beautiful B&B!!! We arrived pretty late but they were very nice and accommodating. The room was beautiful. Sadly we were passing through and just staying overnight and leaving very early in the morning. We loved it there and plan to return for a longer stay on another trip. Highly recommend!

B&B ist so Schön
Das B&B ist super und ist im Zentrum von Cordona die Via Nationale geht genau Vor der Haustüre vorbei super. Cordona ist super schön und ein guter punkt um weitere orte zu besuchen. Schade hat das B&B keine Klima Geräte.

We stayed only one night but the apartment was perfect. Massimo gave us all the information we needed. The apartment overlooked the street and there was noise which quietened right down in the evening. There was everything you'd need for a comfortable stay packed into a relatively small space. clean and good wifi.

Detta lilla B&B ligger mycket centralt, rummen är charmiga, rena och har det man önskar för en övernattning. Vi stannade en natt i Cortona och blev väldigt väl bemötta av personalen som gav utförlig information om både hotellet och staden. Frukost fick ätas på en närliggande bar på italienskt vis dvs en kaffe och en macka eller liknande. Vi kunde inte hitta någon AC men då solen inte ligger på räcker takfläkten till för att svalka på natten.

Excellent B&B
Rugapiana was perfect for our purposes. The building is a short walk (50 paces or so) from Garibaldi square. Garibaldi square is very picturesque - attractive trees, sweeping views of the Tuscan countryside, several cafés with outside tables commanding views to the horizon. The square is the drop off point for the shuttle bus from the Camucia-Cortona train station, and seemed to be the main entry to the town for motorists (who I think had to park outside the town walls). We had front facing rooms at Rugapiana - bedroom, adjoining kitchen/dining room, bathroom. Each room was attractively decorated and well equipped. We only stayed one night but thought it would work well as a base for a longer stay and day trips to nearby places.

Under the Tuscan Sun
Great place to stay in order to see the town of Cortona and the surrounding areas. Very conveniently located in the town. The rooms are cozy and warm. The walls are very thin, but this is common with most of the hotels in the area. The bathroom was added on as an afterthought and is not as nice as the room.

close to all must-see sights
Great location! Parking nearby and don't try and drive directly to the B&B since it is in the historical district. Note that there are a lot of stairs (no elevators) and it is on the main street so nights can be loud at times but that is part of the experience. Apartments have a kitchen so bring items for breakfast or snacks to save money when you get there.

Great Cortona B&B
I was really pleased with the Rugapiana Vacanze B&B! Our room was large and had a very rustic feel. The rooms facing the interior courtyard were very quiet. Like most rooms in Italy, there's not a lot of noise prevention, so we heard our upstairs' neighbors early morning phone call. Note that you do not have breakfast in the actual hotel but at a cafe in the main piazza.

Great place to stay wonderful town
The hotel owner as gracious and informative. Breakfast is not at the B&B but he gives you a ticket to have breakfast at a cafe just a very short walk away. Located near the perimeter parking areas. He gave very good restaurant recommendations including La Logetta for the best steak we have ever eaten.... Chianina.

Excellent location in the heart of town.
We couldn't have picked a better location to stay in town. While it is the heart of the town, it was also as close as possible to free public parking. The staff spoke good English and made themselves available any time of day to assist us in any way possible.

Wonderful Hotel in wonderful town
The room was wonderful and our host made us feel very welcome. Our room was at the very top (61 stairs!) but worth the climb and if you are staying in Cortona everywhere that you go is either up a hill or down a hill so 61 stairs are OK. The stairwell is decorated very nicely. Loved the hotel, loved Cortona!

Great hotel with a great location
We arrived in the middle of an incredible thunderstorm and found the place easily. The rooms were beautiful and we really enjoyed the local ceramic ware. The staff was fantastic and the location is ideal.

We spent four nights. It has a great and easy location near the entrance to the town. We had a smallish room at the back, which was quiet. There are bigger rooms on the street with kitchen facilities and bigger bathrooms than the room we had.

hotel,cioè bed & breakfast, è accogliente, ma senza ascensoree quindi tirar su le valigie è molto scomode x una camera assegnata al terzo iano! Breakfast inesistente, perchè il cliente viene spedito in un bar vicino con un buono x consumare un cafè cin pasta!u pò magra! Il parcheggio inesistente bisogna arrivare all'ingresso centro storico scaricare valigie e poi parcheggiare lontano in un parcheggio(gratis).Gestore gentile!

Hotel staff was exceptional and attentive. Location in Cortona could not be better. Hotel is on the main street and close to everything.'Buffet breakfast' misleading as you get coffee or tea and a croissant down the street...but breakfast is adequate.
