The grounds, common rooms, and amenities are amazing. Our room was very small and the bathroom almost too small to use. No AC and bad air circulation. That being said, we didn’t hang there much and the rest was great.

This will forever be my go-to anytime I visit Aspen. This place has an AMAZING staff and superb location at a fraction of the price of other hotels! The complementary breakfast had the loveliest setup! It truly felt like I was at a friend’s house.

such friendly service
Me and a friend were visiting Aspen for the first time and we could not have chosen a better place to stay! The lodge was always clean and very homey. The employees were all super friendly and helpful in showing us how and what to do on our trip. They helped us out a lot and made our stay very welcoming!

Arrived and greeted by the friendliest hosts. Breakfast, wine and cheese included. Clean rooms and cozy fireplace. Short walk to the transportation center.

Amazing stay in Aspen
Trip was amazing and hotel was great. The staff was helpful and very friendly. Free breakfast (awesome omelette made to order) in the morning and wine and cheese in the evening. Will definitely stay again next time in Aspen

10/10 would recommend
My boyfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend and our stay was amazing! The rooms are clean, comfortable, and quiet. Location was super convenient to aspen mountain, bus stops for other sites, and aspen town. There was fresh breakfast every morning which was a huge perk. Lastly, the service was amazing! Everyone we met was so friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay again.

The family at Hearthstone House is just the best. They were so kind and welcoming, felt like staying at a relative's home. Breakfast and cheese plates make a great start to the day and afternoon adventures. Check out was a breeze, we even forgot some jewelry items behind and they called us ASAP for the return. We will be back!

Convenient stay in Aspen for skiing
Hotel was clean and comfortable, and a short walk to the restaurants, as well as the ski rental shops, and the bus stop for getting to the other mountains and the airport. It is possible to walk to Ajax, although it would be several blocks with your skis on your shoulder.

Enjoyed our stay. Both Shannon and Suzanne were very helpful and friendly. Location was also great and close to everything.

Solid in town value
Hospitable. Friendly staff. Great bikes. Central to town and the mountain. Good breakfast. Great coffee. Could use to be updated a bit. Street noise and noise from adjacent rooms a bit of an issue. Guessing no insulation in walls between rooms. Overall positive and a good value.

My favorite place to stay in Aspen
Unique accommodations only two blocks from downtown Aspen. Rooms are very clean and beds are comfortable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Wine and cheese in the afternoon was a nice touch. Have stayed at the hearthstone house four times now. We'll definitely come back.

Great location
A little bit dated, but the location is great, 2 minute walk to downtown Aspen. Was the cheapest lodging option in downtown Aspen so overall very pleased.

The room was very small in comparison to a hotel room. Also there was no chair in the room. Staff were very polite and professional. Breakfast is included with your stay.

Aspen - a different kind of town
Lovely town but not in the real world. Very expensive, housing is outrageous. The surroundings are exquisite and beautiful. Lots of activities to do and see. The locals of Aspen are so warm and friendly. They will help you in any way possible. The town is very dog friendly, I have not seen so many dogs attend activities and all are so well behaved. Lots of exclusive shopping and the restaurants are variable and expensive. It is an expensive place to visit.

Great stay for central hub in Aspen
Been here several times for Holiday week end ( 3nights,4 days ) and super Ammenities, great staff to handle fixes or room changes, small facility makes for friends - not impersonal,giant, faceless hotel. Location central to everything In town. Not inexpensive, but worth it for Happy Hour, custom breakfasts, free bikes, cozy hot tub, and bend-over-backwards hosts.

Nice small hotel close to Aspen mountain
We had a very nice stay and really appreciated Shannon's welcoming and helpful nature. Breakfast was great and the omelets made by Tyler looked delicious. It was a perfect place to stay within walking distance of downtown Aspen.

Nice little spot near downtown.
Went for a wedding weekend. Hotel is very pleasant. Breakfast was great (omelets, toast, etc.). Not a fancy place, but a good little spot in Aspen near downtown for convenience to shopping and mountain.

Excellent breakfast room and wine and cheese happy hour. Nice breakfast selection with cook to order eggs. Room selection was very small - not sure if it had air conditioning or if it didn't work but there was a floor stand fan that served the purpose. Room is very basic but did the job. Bed was firmer than I like. Bathroom very small with sink and mirror in the bedroom and sharing a small counter with the TV and coffee maker.

Very nice hotel w/in walking of DT Aspen
Very nice hotel and within walking distance of downtown Aspen. We parked our car on Friday and never used it until we left on Sunday. Great breakfast every morning which is included. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions.

Clean and comfortable
The Hotel was just like the pictures. Clean, comfortable and near everything. The breakfest was included and good. They make what every omelet that you request.

Not worth the price
Very small rooms and very small uncomfortable beds with only one small pillow.Especially if you consider the price paid.Close to everything and good breakfast. There is nobody at reception after 10pm.

Adequate for a place to put your head
Small room, hotel would be an economy hotel in the US. Everything worked, but the room was small, little English spoken. It was very clean and the staff was wonderful. It is a good place to stay for the night.

Great location, service needs improvement.
Overall my stay was just okay. The room was clean and comfortable enough. It's in a great location and just a short walk to the gondola and the main street. I had a few problems over my 2 night stay. I requested two beds since it was my brother and I. We arrived late and found our assigned room had just a single Queen. The desk was no longer manned. Breakfast service could be improved by the staff making an attempt to greet, or even acknowledge their guests. You kind of have to yell out at them if you would like something.

Great place to stay!
We booked our room at the last minute and it was a great experience. The hotel is small, very clean room and within walking distance to down town Aspen. I gave the comfort of our room a 4 as the bed mattress needs to be replaced, it sagged. But the room was comfortable. The manager was glad we told him as they refurbish the hotel during their fall close down. The breakfast was one of the best that we've ever had in a hotel. Made to order eggs and everything else was fresh. Nothing fake! We will stay here again.

Aspen Experience
Wanted something close to center of town. This was perfect. A block away and not in the "traffic zone" with lots of noise etc. Room was quite small but comfortable and nice amenities. Intimate breakfast room with eggs cooked to order. Plus your normal continental fare of assortments. Wine and cheese in the afternoon and to my surprise very nice quality. All in all a nice cozy and welcoming place to stay.

Best kept secret
This hotel was great. Very quaint and nice hotel right in downtown Aspen. Easy walking distance to everything. I would defiantly stay there again.
