Seems dated. Branded as a boutique hotel, which is certainly a stretch. Cannot open any in the room fridge is very noisy and had to unplug it durings nights to sleep. ExpediaVIP status not recognized and no upgrade offered. Location is central, which was positive. Wouldn’t book again.

The Hotel was a cute boutique hotel convenient to Downtown. It was decent the staff were friendly enough. Their is only a Valet option to park but there is a safe guarded parking garage around the corner for 1/2 the price. It’s fine for a couple nights. The area around there seems to get worse and worse everytime I go down there, not the Hotel’s fault but. I didnt feel unsafe but was mindful.

Great location in downtown Atlanta. You can walk to so many places. They train (MARTA) is right next to the hotel.

This was a very unusual experience for me. Usually the Ellis is a great place to stay. When we arrived, there was no valet for parking (a requirement at this hotel). So after parking in the street, I asked one of the check in clerks to help. The room was clean, but needed some touch ups. Toilet ran if the handle wasn’t shaken. Shower head leaked around the head. Just minor stuff. The bar downstairs was tended by one individual, who was not real happy to be there. The line backed up, taking 10 minutes to make a purchase. The bartender never smiled, said thank you or even got in a hurry. I still like the Ellis and forgive them for a “cursed” visit. Just a little disappointing.

The hotel was not very clean but the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We do like the hotel and we’ve stayed here before. We missed the breakfast area.

The property as in a good location. The entrance was a little confusing because it was on the corner of the building we had to wait sever minutes in the cold and rain to be let in because the building you need a key to get in the building and the staff was not present at the front desk when we arrived. The hotel was nice.

This was the worst experience I have had booking a hotel via hotels .com . The hotels was defiantly not what is advertised . My room was dirty . I got to the hotel and the door was locked I stood in the rain for like 15 minutes before another client came and open the door . Their signs on the door states you will need to buzz in after 9pm but I was at the hotel by 7 and no one was at their front desk . The hotel room was dirt and there were items left from previous guest in the room . The iron was broken which leaked water on my clothes and the ironing board was ripped as well . Not forgetting I just saw I was charged for watching TV when there was no sign showing pricing to watch regular news .

Frustrating misleading hotel page
The hotel is outdated with old furnature and carpet. The beds were comfortable and they do have blackout curtains if you want to sleep in. Staf were friendly. No restaurant as stated on the hotels page. Pictures on the site are muss leading. Good location.

The staff was incredibly kind, friendly and helpful. The hotel was beautiful. The room was nice. My only 2 complaints were outside noise and the shower had mold on the grout.
