A double queen studio suite w/sleeper sofa reserved online via 3rd party booking. Arrived & confirmed w/ front desk attendant the room was correct, a suite for 6. He asked how many ppl in my party. I informed him only children accompanied & the booking site advertised children stay for free. The reservation was booked with my adult son’s card. He asked for the card used on the reservation to place a $200 refundable damage deposit. I gave him the card he requested. He said he couldn’t take the card, which is completely understandable, but then continued to chastise me, condescendingly stating “You should know better,” insulting me. I gave him another payment card issued to me to place the deposit & pay for the room. The room he gave us was not the correct suite as he confirms & charging a higher price for. I asked if there would be compensation do to his error & the incorrect price point. He said there was nothing that could be done. I attempted to politely suggest acceptable resolutions. He wouldn’t let me speak & continued to interrupt me & began to yell. Any time I spoke, he shouted HELLO! Pounded his fist on the desk. I was embarrassed, frightened & defensive. He threatened police & to throw us out after 10pm & a 2 hour drive. I made it clear if he did & had my children put out in the cold after advance reservation & pay b/c of negligence & error, I would civilly sue faster than he could blink. Hotel is aesthetically pleasing. Pool is nice. Breakfast provided. Dude sucks.
