I booked two rooms through the hotels.com website. It has a space to put in special requests, which I did. I requested two cribs and adjoining rooms. Since I booked through hotels.com and not the Hilton Honors site, the details were not received by the hotel. It may have been slightly less expensive to book through hotels.com but it created a lot of unnecessary misunderstanding (special requests, traveling with a pet etc.) at check in.
