A little bit Dissapointed for the price.
Pillows not comfortable (why this very large pillow); Room was humid as you can not believe it! Travaasa claims to be from Farm to Table: hence you expect something FRESH in the room, not a bag of caramelized pecans and a bag of popcorns... why not a bowl of fresh fruits? amenities: why do we get an even WORST coffee machine then the highway motels? why? you are paying a fortune to spend 2 nights in this beautiful environment, why can't you just place a Nespresso (for example) machine or something AT LEAST that does NOT give you coffee flavored hot water?! we are in the middle of nature, i get we may find some small animals here and there, but why do we have find LARGE spiders in the closet? the staff IS FRIENDLY, no 2 words about it. at BReakfast, outside, beautiful sitting area, coffee served with no spoons. Eggs served with no salt and pepper... Lunch time: waited 20 min for a burger which was OK. It is frustrating when you see all this marketing on the web, that RAISES expectations SO MUCH! and yet amenities and the details in the service are not there...

Rest and Relaxation
Awesome. Love the zero edge pool and the poolside bar. The restaurant is top notch. Great facilities for rest and relaxation with hill country views.

We had a wonderful stay which was too short! The spa and pool are wonderful. The staff is helpful. Our room had a lovely balcony where we sat every night and even saw a fox! We hiked and participated in many adventures. We can't wait to return.

Terrific, we left with fond memories
The staff was friendly and personable. The grounds were flawlessly maintained, the room was lovely, just as pictured online. The resort was serene and it seemed there were 2 staff members for each guest! I purchased one of the Travaasa "Kashmere" throws and the staff helped me ship it home. They even found the least expensive shipper, arranged for signature required which was my preference, and I included other items in the same box to lighten up our luggage for the return trip! Over and above the call!! We loved the outdoor dining area with the panoramic view of the hill country and downtown Austin in the distance.

Nice Resort
The resort staff is very friendly and the location is beautiful! I definitely recommend having dinner there, the food was incredible! The room itself was a little less luxurious than I expected based off of online photos and because of the surrounding nature we did find a few bugs (red ants and mosquitos) in the room which wasn't awesome. I would still recommend this place though, just request a room on a higher floor level!

Perfect romantic getaway in Texas Hill Country
Absolutely perfect romantic getaway in the Texas Hill Country!! My husband and I went here for a belated honeymoon and we can't wait to go back!! The spa was off the charts amazing! There are tons of choices for activities during the day, or you can just relax and enjoy the gorgeous views from your own balcony!

Beautiful and Fun
Beautiful resort! This place is amazing. They have everything you could ask for and the staff is wonderful! Always willing to lend a hand and accommodate our needs. Only down side of this place is the lack of food options and no room service. Other than that it was worth every penny. Robin the night time bartender was our favorite and made my 30th birthday unforgettable. Thanks travaasa for knowing what hospitality is all about. Some places out there still don't get it.

Nice resort facility
So the purpose of my visit was to celebrate my friends birthday. The birthday went per the plan however this was not my first time to go to the property. This is so far the worst time I saw the property since my last visit. They had an issue with cleaning many staff member has regisned or something like that. As well as in my last of the visit there was an employee sitting in the reception but she never takes phone calls when u call her so I had to walk twice to the reception just to ask for stuff. The cleaning is done in ok way bcz last time I stayed towels were freash and updated however this time it was not. Carpet in my room needs to be upgraded. In spite the fact we had similar rooms but some of them had audio player and others not and some had night stand and others not. This property needs serious attention to keep it as beautiful as it should be

Das Welcome im Hotel war sehr trocken und überhaupt nicht in der Person interessiert. Hilfe wegen unseren fehlenden Koffern wurde vehement abgelehnt. Zimmergrösse ensprechen nicht dem Standard für diesen Preis! Schöner Pool mit Weitsicht. Gute Küche. Schönes Restaurant mit Terrasse.

Terrific spa amd adventure destination resort.
Lovely setting and we had a great time participating in the adventure and fitness activities. The staff were fun and helpful. Overall a great experience!

Great getaway; Expected more
Travaasa was a great getaway. Close to home (Austin) but the surroundings made it feel like we had to travel far! Property was beautiful. Salt water pool and hot tub were amazing. Staff was nice, but expected more. Wanted them to anticipate our needs and be more cognizant of the relaxing, low key vibe. Felt the service was below average for a resort. Personal taste, but the room decor and design left a lot to be desired. There was nothing unique or interesting about the furniture, floor plan and/or functionality. I enjoy staying at hotels for this reason! For example - heavy interior doors that were in the way, small closet and the ironing board took up most of it, no dresser (just tiny nightstands with drawers), desk was the only place to put things, no bathroom countertop space, shower door didn't close, loud bathroom vent, balcony furniture needed to be sealed/stained; lighting was no good (either too dark or too bright). Enjoyed the pecans and popcorn afternoon snacks delivered to the room, but thought the presentation could have been better (perhaps a mason jar vs a plastic baggie). Luck of the draw, but we had an obnoxious (loud, profanity, over-served) party at the pool on Sunday afternoon. Asked the staff to speak to them, but nothing was done. Ruined the peaceful, calm vibe for us and the other guests. They should add to the pool rules - "please be respectful of other guests by being cool!" and enforce it.

Hill Country retreat
1st floor room is a problem given the lack of sound proofing against the room immediately above. Great shower and bed. Room size is adequate but not spacious. No refrigerator, but one was provided when requested. Beautiful view from the porch area outside the room

Beautiful, comfortable, serene.
The spa is excellent. Beautiful pool, had an excellent massage. Food is healthy and delicious. The grounds are beautiful. Rooms clean and well designed. We went for a great hike with a knowledgeable guide. Excellent customer service! We will be back!

So-so.
The environment was beautiful, but I wasn't that impressed for the price. You cannot sign up for activities in advance and the majority of them were full when we arrived. So, all we did was a self guided hike. The food was great, but very expensive. There wasn't anything that would cause me to recommend this to others. Unimpressed.

Amazing resort
I went with a girlfriend of mine and we had such an amazing time! The best bit about the place was the staff - so incredibly friendly and helpful. The spa was incredible with one of the best massages I've ever received and the pool was gorgeous. Our room was slightly "tired" and could have benefited from an update but as you are never in your room (there is so much to do onsite), this wasn't a problem! The prickly pear challenge and the giant swing were incredible - terrifying, but fun and what a feeling of accomplishment once you've completed them!! The food was incredible too - and what a view from the sitting area in front of the restaurant. I would definitely return!!

Beautiful location
Enjoyed our stay at this peaceful location. Rooms could use some brightening up and the food should be better at this price. Spa is light bright and beautiful aside from some paint wearing off on the walls. The pool is gorgeous with breathtaking views.

Resort Loaded with Activities $$$$$
Went for a weekend getaway. This place is an awesome resort for people who never want to leave the property. They have great food and loads of activities. Hiking, biking, archery, ropes course, horseback riding, etc... I would say that it is generally an older crowd - probably because they are the only people who can afford it. Room rates make sense for the amount of services they provide on the property. I would say the additional activities are very pricey.

Want to love this place......
Pros: This is a beautiful property, amazing views, lovely pool, restaurant and spa area. Love the fireside sofas and stone patio shaded by live oaks overlooking the hill country. Staff went above and beyond trying to accomodate even though many don't have the experience you can tell and service was sometimes spotty --- I still give them and A for all their effort. They were friendly and seemed truly genuine in their attempts to make your vacation a great one. Activities were plentiful from 8:30am - 6pm plenty to choose from should you want them. People running them were fantastic. Cons: Travelled from CA looking to get away from all the noise surrounding my home as it boasts preserve setting with a "zen - like" feeling with nature. It is on a preserve but the Z in zen is not there. There is a main road below that you can hear non stop traffic on from everywhere in resort. From my room I could also hear construction in the distance and dogs barking at night. The insulation between rooms is very poor and we had people above us making noise, plumbing noise ran through walls. Didn't want to switch rooms as we already had done so trying to get away from the noise of the road which in turn wasn't possible. Did not sleep well while there. Food was good not great. Pool area is stunning-- need to add food and bev service and heat pool more -- too cold for us. Overall, I want to love this place -- would come back even from CA often if it weren't for noise & food

Nice spa hotel.
Everyone was so helpful and everything worked! So much to do in such a relaxed way. From the state of the art gym to the trails and meditation garden, the farm to garden food cooked while you watch and the infinite pool and spa treatments positively perfect experience. What a perfect setting for rejuvenating. I'll definitely return. I really felt pampered.

Incredible setting to feel tranquil and catered to
This was a return trip for us and it was lovely. We are returning in a month and plan to make this our " go to " when we are in Austin. We have stayed at several high end hotels in Austin and the Barton Creek area. This by far has been superior in service, amenities and opportunity to feel pampered. The staff knows when you return and makes it a point to train staff on how to build relationships with guests. Customer service is about relationships . Travaasa is outstanding and just a heads up...they have incredibly restful beds!

Perfect getaway but just ok food
So many activities to do there (archery, ropes course, yoga, work out classes, etc). The food is all organic/healthy and menu changes all the time so don't get use to anything. The staff is super polite and very helpful but the wait staff was lacking. The only negatives I had was it took forever to order foodand the mediation class was horrible.

Loved it!
Travassa is amazing and the staff was so nice. The food was exquisite. It rained while we were there and we commented that we were bummed that meant activities would be canceled. The staff was very nice and understanding and tried their best to compensate for that. We will be returning!

Great relaxing Spa!
Our stay at Travaasa was wonderfully relaxing. The facilities, staff, for both the hotel and spa were superb. The infinity pool is great. It was a really nice get-a-way spot.

Peaceful Hotel with Fun Activities
This hotel is truly a "summer camp for adults". I stayed with two other girls for a "girl's retreat". The room has comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom, but can get a little muggy inside. The gym, spa, pool and sauna are fantastic. There are a number of activities that you can sign up for every day, but there is a class size limit. I felt a little stressed each day seeing the very full sign-up sheets and some of the classes we took were huge (15+ people), which led to a lot of standing around and waiting (giant swing, challenge course). I wish they had more activities or do popular activities two times a day so that the classes would be smaller. It also rained every day we were there, and I wish that the hotel arranged some rainy day activities to take the place of the outdoor ones that were rained out. All-in-all, however, the hotel is in good condition and the three of us had a fun time.
