Had a very pleasant stay here! I noticed reviews of the noise of the nearby motorway however we stayed in a room right next to the road on the ground floor and unless we had the window open, the road noise wasn’t an issue! Room was very clean along with the hotel as a whole! Breakfast was a highlight, the selection was limited but was exactly what was needed! Everyone is very friendly! I would happily stay here again should I need to spend time in this area again!

Excellent
Had a long terrible drive, turned up at the hotel few hours before checking in time. The lady was so understanding and kind, she let me have the room to rest. Room was extremely comfortable and clean. Plenty of choice for breakfast.

The room I was assigned was at the back and far end of the hotel. With the A77M running around 20 feet from the window, the room was rather noisy. The staff were all friendly and helpful but the breakfast staff were rather slow and ineffective. The tea took a long time to arrive and when it did the pot had less than one cup in it. When I asked for a refill, the tea came back so weak it was basically water. When asked for another teabag the staff looked as though I had asked her for her life savings. Not the best experience, but definitely not the worst I+'ve ever had.

It was alright…
Checkin was efficient, room was clean but tired looking. Main reasons for my score are the lack of hot water for the shower in room 29 (despite flipping the switch) – the shower continually switched between boiling hot and freezing cold. There were marks all over the walls. The hotel is quite noisy. And there was an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke coming from the emergency exit in the corridor leading up to room 29. It wasn’t terrible, but you get what you pay for.

3 night stay for work. Lovely hotel and staff. Food was excellent. Only thing that needs improved was the shower. Its like trying to get wet with a water pistol.

Hidden gem tucked away in a beautiful village. Amazing staff and so welcoming and friendly. Thanks to Jamie and Connor for welcoming us so warmly and with great humour, we needed a laugh after a very long day of traveling from London Heathrow. Breakfast the next morning was incredible, and absolutely cooked to perfection. We will most definitely be back. Best regards from Paul and Joanne.

Fenwick hotel experience
This hotel wasn’t as good as what it was promoted as. Wasn’t aware it was next to a major road which was right outside my window! The solution to my request to move rooms was to issue me with ear plugs! Rooms ‘tired’, shower not very powerful. No aircon but couldn’t open window because of road noise! On a positive the meals I had of an evening were good although vegetarian options were minimal. Staff service was reasonable too. I don’t think I would stay there again.

Hotel ticks all the boxes
The hotel is a good clean honest hotel, it ticks all the boxes, but be aware it is next to the main road, so there is a bit of road noise

Ok, but noisy.
Not quite what I expected as the hotel is RIGHT next to the motorway so rooms are quite noisy. The whole hotel smelt a bit smoky, not sure if it was just the smell of the type of cleaner used. The shower was over the bath but there was no mat so it was super slippery.

Fantastic at Fenwick
Only a 1 night stay but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was absolutely fine and the hotel ideal for easy access to he area.

Fab Fenwick and Fish Pie
It was a great place to stay and I also shared the food experience on social media! Unfortunately the boiler was broken when i stayed so i had to boil the kettle for a shave, but the shower worked well, comfortable beds and reasonably priced making it a great place to stay and convenient for business travels East, West and North!Noted a great selection of whiskies too!

Great Stay
Lovely room (although the bathroom was freezing!), great food in the restaurant and mostly friendly staff. Didn't make breakfast as even on a bank holiday, it was served 7am-9am; perhaps good for travellers or getting to the airport!

Best place for last night before flight home!
Used this as our last night before flying from Glasgow. Very convenient to the Motorway. Dinner in the hotel was first rate and very reasonably priced. We will stay with them again and base from there to explore the local are.

I was not pleased with the cleaning service and the lack of air conditioning and had to sleep with the window open and the highway noise was unbearable

Good Morning, Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay. It is only through guest feedback that we can improve our services. I will share your comments with our housekeeping team. With regards to road noise we are situated next to one of the busiest Bypasses in Western Scotland, this is stated in our address and hotel information. We have double glazing and noise preventive measures in place however we cannot exclude road noise completely. There are quiet rooms available upon request, however these are subject to availability. We do not have air conditioning however we would have been more than happy to supply you with fans for your comfort during your stay. I hope you enjoyed the remainder or your stay and we hope to see you again soon

Great value for money
The room was spacious with large Bed, there was no drawers to put clothes in and no were to put toiletries in the bathroom. The room was over hot . The Tv remote didn’t work properly but overall these were little things in comparison to the value for money price . The evening restaurant serves excellent food but the breakfast is not very good. It’s left out for you to help yourself and it was cold with little choice

Good stay.
Everything was good at the hotel and I found the stay good and would return should I be in the area again. The food quality was much better than expected for the prices charged. The only downfall was that some of my white towels had stains on them that hadn’t washed out.
