We are located on the beach in a fishing village, and sometimes the villagers are making up fire to bbq their catch. This takes place behind our restaurant. When making fire for bbq, the locals are using dry coconut shells instead of coal. The dry coconut shells makes up quite some smoke, and if the wind blows from the "wrong" direction, we get too much of in into our restaurant. Unfortunately, this is an issue for most of the beach hotels in Bali, as the garden and the restaurants are open air. )We are working hard to find a solution for this inconvenience.Kindly,Nicole and the Bali Dive team

Many guests are using a new towel after each dive, which means that we in some cases need to wash the towels more than once every day. Dear rafael, Please note that you might have reviewed another resort under our name. I'm not sure which resort you mixed us up with, but our rooms come with much more than just a sofa. We have a big menu in our beach restaurant, with huge variety. You can choose between chicken, pork, fish, prawn, vegetarian or vegan food. We offer more than 60 main dishes, and on top of this we also offer appetizers, salads, children's menu, snack and deserts. We don't have any spicy burgers on the menu and our pizzas come in regular sizes (25cm diameter) and are a popular choice. We buy our fish straight from the fishermen in front of our resort, so the type of fish offered depends on their catch. I hope you had a better stay with us at Bali Dive Resort and Spa, than you had with the resort you mixed us up with in your review. Kindly, Nicole Dulau

Dear Maik, We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your stay at Bali Dive Resort and Spa, but your review is not fair and very misleading for everyone that have not yet been here. You are in most cases exaggerating and in some cases, you actually choose to mislead others by avoiding the truth all together. We can compare your review with the others and it's very easy to notice that your review stands out dramatically. During your week with us, you didn’t have any complains about anything, but upon check out, you started shouting, claiming that you want all your money back, threatening us with awful reviews if we didn’t agree to your conditions. We are ranked as one of the best Dive Resort in Bali. We achieved this goal thanks to our happy guests. This must show that our passion for what we do, is normally noticed by the majority of our guests. We always do our best to fulfill each and every individual’s request. A 6-night holiday is not something that we offer free of charge. However, we would have been more than happy to help you with any or your issues or concerns, during your stay, if we would have been notified. We have very fair prices in our resort. Even though you state something different, you were actually out snorkeling for 2 days. Once in Amed (30 min away) and once at USAT Liberty (5 min away) for the amount of 20 USD / person. We offer soft drinks and beer in our minibars. A soft drink costs 1 USD (15.000 IDR) and a beer (33 cl) costs 1.76 USD (25.000 IDR). We don’t find this overpriced. Candidasa, Amed and Ubud have their charm, but we at Bali Dive Resort and Spa can offer something that travelers can't get there. We offer some of the best dive sites in Bali and the best location for a relaxing, peaceful and tranquil holiday.

You can find two sockets in the room (plus one in the bathroom) that you can use without pulling out the fridge or the TV. One of them is next to the bed and one of them is under the mirror. I do agree that there should be one more socket next to the bed and I will make sure to solve this issue in the close future. Regarding the treatment between the English speaking guests and the none English speaking guests, there is no difference. It might maybe sometimes seem like it is, because it is possible to have a conversation with the English speakers, while this is a lot more difficult to do with the non English speaking guests. However, the staff are not here to have conversations, but are here to help our guests, regardless their English skills.
