Good hotel in a convenient location
Great hotel in a good location close to everything. The staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are cleaned thoroughly each day. Will definitely stay again.

Greit for et par dager
Helt fint hotell, med hyggelige ansatte. Sanur er derimot ikke et fint feriested for oss, men mer en mellomstasjon fra Bali til andre øyer. Når vi ser tilbake er dette et sted vi helst ville vært foruten og heller dratt direkte vekk fra øya. Nusa Penida som er en times tid unna anbefales derimot på det sterkeste.

Pěkný a relativně moderní hotel, příjemný personál
Příjemný menší hotel se super zaměstnanci, kteří vám se vším pomohou. Hotel je trochu zapadlý, takže není na první pohled vidět z ulice. Pokoje jsou komfortní a koupelna také. Hotel má na střeše bazén, který je ale velmi znčištěný až jsme se v něm skoro báli koupat :-(

Good hotel with nice pool
The hotel is located close to the main road and very quiet. It is a charming little hotel with a nice pool and friendly owner. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Okay but there are better options in Sanur
Prices for Svarna are moderate but there are, in my opinion, better options around for a similar price. The place doesn't have any real Balinese character. There's nowhere to sit outside your room so you're stuck inside but there's only the bed or a writing desk and chair to sit on. The Hotels.com hotel information indicated there were bathrobes and a turndown service but there were neither. The Hotels.com site also advises there is a balcony but there isn't - it's just a veranda for everyone to walk along to get to their rooms. The room itself is generally fine - reasonably sized with good storage in the wardrobe which includes a safe (at floor level which makes it difficult to access). Good sized small fridge is provided. The lighting is okay although there aren't any proper reading lights and there are no bedside switches to turn lights on or off which is a bit of a pain at night. The bathroom is adequate though could do with some shelf space for putting your toiletries, etc. The pool area, while relatively small, is okay for a quick dip. There are three pool lounges on the deck. The staff at Svarna seem friendly enough but not always that efficient although I didn't have a lot of interaction with them. The hotel's location is one of its best features as it is close to just about everything you need or are likely to do in Sanur including the beach, shops and restaurants. Having a proper money changer (MPB) out the front of the hotel is handy too.

Na een eerder bezoek, ben ik nu toch minder enthousiast. De kamer die ik nu had was smoezelig. Badkamer was niet proper, kalkaanslag overal. Wasbak niet schoon. Ook lag WiFi al vier dagen plat. Om die reden de boeking ongedaan te maken, werd afgewezen. Het zwembad vertoont alggroei aan de randen en de tegels zijn spekglad

Bij aankomst verwacht je niet dat er zo'n lekker hotel schuilt aan een drukke straat. Ik sliep op bovenste verdieping in een grote kamer met airco. Weinig ramen waardoor het wat duister ovrrkomt. Geen licht n last boven het bureau. Verder alles keurig. Van het geluid van de watertank had ik niet zo'n last. Het dakzwenbad is super. Leuk uitzicht. Voor die prijs wel een aanrader

Decent hotel that falls far short of its potential
This little hotel has the potential to be a great stay however it will never happen while it is being run by untrained, unsupervised young adults with little concern for customers. Our room is only 6 - 8 mtrs from reception and due to the open courtyard sound travels well there. We were often woken up early by noisy gossip and chatter from staff talking to each other across the courtyard and from floor to floor with no regard for people sleeping. 2 Nights before leaving I had to get out of bed in my pyjamas and cross to reception to ask the two guys on duty to shut up. It was 1am in the morning and these two were having a loud conversation. Next morning the girls were doing the same right outside our door at 7am. These untrained 'kids' have no idea how to thoroughly clean a room. Cleaning is superficial and we had to ask several times for water or toilet paper or soap from reception because whoever cleaned our room 'forgot'. The 'free wi-fi' needs a booster as it is unreliable. Also the hot water system was awful taking 5 - 7 minutes from turning on till it got warm enough to shower. Besides all that our room was large and the hotel well positioned. The staff do help when asked to. our bed was a king and comfortable. All facilities were good and working (except the HWS and a patchy wi-fi). Price was reasonable. The rooftop pool is great and private but could do with a thorough vacumming. Over all a decent hotel that falls far short of it's potential.

Es una buena opción, tiene muy buena ubicación pero a diferencia de la mayoría de los hoteles este no incluye el desayuno. Baños no muy limpios... Especialmente la ducha. Las personas que trabajan ahí son extremadamente amables!

Poor Service
Pathetic service due to poor management. Personnel nice but poorly trained. Need key to keep power/A/C on. Got extra key for this, but after 3 days they began to take this key. They would deny, arguements began and continued for days. Would tell me roommate had both keys, a lie, so, no power. After an hr. of much unhappiness on my part one night, magically, they produced electronic key for power but would not code for room access. Stay tuned, for this worst hotel experience of my life. Place does have potential under proper management. Room is spacious, bed is comfy, there is a fridge, but, bathroom needs proper cleaning/disinfecting and lighting to see in mirror is poor. There is a room safe but it's not bolted down. How dumb can you be? Bottom line, if not for their cheapness with the power, ok place for price. But, I'm ready to move to another hotel to escape the extreme agravation.

Tråkigt med ett relativt nybyggt hotell som dom senare låter förfalla med utebliven städning o mögel i rummen. Hade kunnat vara så mycket fräschare med bara bättre städning o underhållning av hotellet! Poolen var även trasig under våra 4 nätter där, helt grön. Blev även av med mina solglasögon på hotellrummet, något jag påpekade ett flertal gånger men managern tog mig inte på allvar trots att det tydligt märktes att någon varit inne på vårat rum (o låst efter sig) medan vi var iväg o åt. De flesta ur personalen var annars trevliga o hjälpsamma.

This hotel is good if you are wanting to get onto the boats to Lembongan island as it is very close and the reception is open late as we arrived at 1.30am.

Very very disappointing - would not recommend
Very disappointing experience. Booked 10 nights but left after first night. Firstly the pool-disgusting - green, mouldy, unsanitary and would not use. Room - The bathroom was not cleaned thoroughly, dirty walls. The towels were very old and stained. The bed sheet was stained and the quilt cover had big dirty brown stains on it. Filthy. Very unsanitary. Only good thing was that the room was large with a safe. Very poor lighting in the room. TV only in Indonesian.Breakfast very basic and not filling only tea/coffee otherwise pay for other. The staff were friendly but the lack of English made things more difficult. We travel to Bali a few times a year and enjoy trying new accommodation places. Our holidays in Bali are about swimming and relaxing so the morning after the first night we asked to speak with a manager to leave and get a refund but was told he was not on sight. We spoke to him on the phone but he said he cannot allow any refund. We still left and checked into another complex down the road and payed for 9 nights. Came back the next day to try again and he was still not there. We contacted our daughter in Australia who called Hotels.com and a wonderful staff member there contacted a higher manager for this hotel who was disappointed that our needs had not been dealt with appropriately and he authorised an 8 day refund out of our 10 nights paid so we only missed out on one nights refund.We were happy with this result and it covered most of our new accommodation.

Svarna, its okay
Staff very good. A simple, clean, quiet, small B & B type place. Minimal outdoor space within the Svarna Hotel. Breakfast as mentioned by other travellers is basic and limited but suffices too kick start the day.

ローカルマーケットやビーチまで徒歩圏内。 ホテルは通りに面しているが、客室は奥まったところに配置されています。 客室によっては窓が廊下に面しているので神経質な方には不向き。窓には遮光カーテンがあり、廊下は中庭を囲む形になっています。 バスタブはありませんが、ハンドシャワーとレインシャワーが設置されています。 換気扇の音がうるさいのと、シャワーの圧力が弱いことが残念です。 石鹸の他、シャンプーとボディーソープが壁かけタイプのディスペンサーに準備されています。ホテル滞在型でなく、街に行動型の旅行にはよいホテルと思います。

Great location close to all facilities. Beach restaurants 1 street away. Set back from Main Street so nice and quiet at night. Staff super friendly and happy to help out with all our needs. Safe parking for our hired scooters. Only down side was pool was out of action, was being repaired due to leak, would have been nice to cool off after a day out. Overall would stay again without hesitation.

Clean,modern, value for money accomodation
This is my second visit and a first for my sister. The room was very clean upon arrival. We only stayed for one night as we had to make our way for our ferry to Nusa Lembongan. All in, this place is value for money. We did not expect to have breakfast provided but it did! Simple choice of breakfast yet satisfying.

Great location for seminyak with really friendly staff, our room was right next door to the reception so it was noisy with phone ringing and new arrivals also the roof top pool is nice but the sun beds are very tightly fitted around the pool!

Litet trevligt hotell och prisvärt, där poolen var ett svalkande inslag på ett annars mycket varmt Bali. Frukosten serverades i resturangen bredvid hotellet. Litle Bird ett litet matställe med levande musik alldeles i närheten, mysigt och god mat.

たまたま工事中でうるさかったけど、施設やフロントの対応には満足しました。 二階にプールがあるので星空を見ながら 泳いだら素敵だな。 ただ一つ。朝食をつけて欲しかったな。

neues ruhiges Hotel mit schoenen Zimmern und Pool
Hotel neu. Zimmer gut eingerichtet und sauber. Der Pool auf dem Dach bietet schoene Aussicht ueber Sanur. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider bietet Svarna selbst kein Fruehstueck an. Wenn man dieses dazu gebucht hat bekommt man nur einem Gutschein fuer das benachbarte Swastika-Hotel. Dort ist alles alt und das Fruehstueck einfach nur schlecht. Deshalb Svarna-Hotel bitte unbedingt ohne Fruehstuekc buchen und ein paar Meter weiter ins Street-Cafe gehen, wo es fuer kleines Geld sehr gutes Fruehstueck a la carte gibt.
