Our room was clean and I felt right at home here. We had beautiful views out our window and it’s less than a 5 minute drive to the downtown area. The owner was so sweet and she made the best homemade breakfast the next morning!

I tried to remain open minded as the proprietor was welcoming and initially accommodating. However I quickly realized that this is no 3.5 star B & B and am totally nonplussed by the fabulous reviews given by others. Should have guessed from the price. Photos look substantially better than the reality. The place was clean and tidy but in truth you enter a time warp into the 1970’s and really feel your staying in someone’s basic house . Poor shower. Grandma back bedroom vibe. View from room marred by cars parked right in front of window, hence no privacy. Proprietor grew inpatient with the few requests I made though the husband and wife pair did a good job overall. Breakfast was plentiful and decently made though too many cakey sweets for my tastes. Frankly I was relieved to depart to a proper hotel!

Thank you for your review, pity the accommodation did not meet your requirements. Firstly I need to point out that this is not a hotel and first and foremost it is our family home and B&B enjoyed by the vast majority of guests as can be seen by the number of highly positive reviews. The vast majority of B&Bs in Ireland are family homes where guests have the opportunity to interact with the family unlike that of hotels. As for the premises itself we, on an annual basis, update the place in order to keep it modern, clean and tidy.Pity you didn’t note the more positive aspects of your visit, ie., tea/coffee and cakes on arrival and transport provided to and from the village in order to visit a restaurant for an evening meal. Having a bad day in your case does not mean you vet this on your host who went out of her way to accommodate you

Good overall. Comfortable, everything worked as it should, and a tasty breakfast. Couple of minor issues: when asked about the laundry facilities that are listed as one of the amenities, was told "there are machines in the village". That's not an amenity. Also thought it was a bit cheap of the hostess to say "Oh, you're taking your lunch too? Those are for the table." when we took a couple of pieces of fruit with us after breakfast - really?

Many thanks for your review. Great to hear you enjoyed the breakfast.Regarding issues as I stated laundry services were available locally at a cost. In my book that is a local amenity. Secondly as for taking away items food when leaving the dining room I am sorry but I take exception to the fact that items were lifted not only off one table but off all the tables in the room to take away for lunch. Food presented for breakfast is for consumption in the dining room only.

James and olive were fantastic. The property is spotless, the breakfast is delicious with huge portions. We cannot wait to go back.

Loved the owners, couldn’t do enough for you - we had washed our clothes in town but the dryer didn’t work other than on cold, the owner kindly put our washing on the line and brought it in for us. Wonderful views down to the ocean and the beautiful surrounding hills. The only thing we found was the distance from Cushendall and only one place open for an evening meal - which had to be one of the best we’ve had whilst travelling.

What an absolutely fabulous breakfast and thank you so much for the scones to go - we will definitely be back!! I was a bit weary about the shared bath, but it was super clean and lovely!!

A wonderful stay, and lovely views. It felt really like a treat being here. Wonderful cake and tea served in the living room, to welcome guests. And useful photo guide to the local area. Absolutely perfect
Our stay was complete perfection. The room, the communal area and the dining area were all immaculately clean. We recieved a very warm welcome and the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was very generous and tasted amazing. Thank you for everything.

Nice to stay in a quite B&B out of town and away from the noise of the road. The hostess Olive contacted us ahead of time and helped us make a reservation for a restaurant in town for dinner. Her breakfast and tea were excellent too. Would stay again.

Everything was perfect, wish we could have stayed longer. Olive and James were delightful and Olive’s breakfasts were 5 star! Highly recommend staying here if you are in the Cushendall area.

We had a lovely stay at Cullentra house for three nights, which was helped by the lovely weather. Olive was very welcoming and helpful with suggesting where to eat out and with what to see and do locally. The breakfasts are some of the best we've ever had, with a huge selection on offer and each one with extra treats that you weren't expecting. Having eaten the breakfast, there was certainly no need for lunch. If we are in the area again, we would definitely want the same accommodation.

We had a beautiful room that was very clean and the furniture was very nice. The bathroom was very clean and nice. The breakfast was amazing ! Having tea made when we arrived was so very welcome ! We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend anyone staying there.

Cullentra House was a purpose-built BnB with a lovely hostess (Olive) and a standard of excellence above and beyond many others. Everything was perfect; the view, the room, the breakfast, the service... there was nothing out of place! We greatly enjoyed our stay and the value for the money was also outstanding. This was our first stop on our trip and our host was the best, she was so friendly, we felt like family. The room was beautiful and Comfortable. The breakfast was amazing! I would have rated higher than 5 if I could. Excellent place to stay!!

The breakfast was amazing. The property was very very well maintained inside and out. The hosts Olive and James were very friendly, helpful and very attentive to our needs. Even booking us into a busy restaurant in town that was hard to get a seat at. Parking was a little tight but manageable if you were careful. The only thing is to maybe check the shower pressure in Unit #3, we turned on the power but still found it not up to par with everything else at the property. Otherwise a perfect getaway location and experience and excellent value. Breakfast was the best I’ve ever had at any b&b.

This was an excellent place to stay. The view from my window overlooking the water and mountains was spectacular. Our host was lovely and very accommodating in every way - from making our dinner reservations to cooking a fabulous Irish breakfast. She even gave us a goody bag of her delicious scones to take with us! We will definitely stay here again if we are blessed enough to get back to beautiful Northern Ireland.

This is absolutely the best place to stay!! Our host Mrs Olive was so welcoming and gracious, and the best cook ever.!! You will not be hungry when you are here! The rooms are beautiful and spacious and the view is incredible! Very easy access to everything! She gives great advice on things to do and is easy to chat with! We loved our stay and will absolutely come here again, for much longer next time! Thank you Mrs Olive for making our vacation so wonderful!!

A great pace to use as a base for a trip along the Antrim coast. The view from our bedroom of Tiveragh was spectacular. Make sure to have the Ulster fry for breakfast. Definitely want to come back on my next visit to the Antrim coast.

Great welcome and hospitality. Really, second to none. Fine view from the room over the coast and landscape that draw you to this area. Great breakfast. The hosts really couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful.

The best thing about staying here is that Olive and James make such an effort to stand out from the crowd. There is home baking, pancakes with fresh fruit, any number of egg breakfasts, as well as the usual fry-up. They also helped get us a table for an evening meal. It's this sense of real hospitality which made us feel properly welcome..

What a beautiful home from home. Fantastic hosts Olive is so very helpful. She wants you to have the best of everything. Her husband a true gent Tea or coffee and lovely homemade cake on arrival. Views are superb Rooms are so lovely, clean and stylish, very comfortable beds. The breakfast is amazing, a smoothie is served in a very quaint tea cup and saucer, freshly made bread and scones. The whole experience is wonderful. You must try it yourselves.
