not great
Stayed at a few Hostel Internationals. This was the worst one. No real breakfast to speak of. Not the warmest reception either. Pretty run down. Old building so I am not expecting perfection but you'd think they could get some doors that close properly or some electrical outlets that work.

We realize that there is a lot of work needed to get our facility to optimum level and we are certainly making changes periodically and overtime. We do aim to provide the services and amenities according to our guests requests and will take your notes into consideration.

The hostel and its' staff were amazing! The hostel was clean, comfortable and in a good location. Everyone who worked there was very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast choices were good and each evening there was a free meal which was unexpected and delicious! Would thoroughly recommend to anyone and everyone!

Staff was excellent, conditions were average. Very good value for your money.

すごしやすいホステル
一人旅のバッパー用としてはすごしやすいホステルです。部屋・ベッドともに清潔です。 カムデンヤーズでMLB観戦後の遅い時間では周辺は人通りが少なくなっていました。 朝食はパンとワッフルを持参したインスタントコーヒーで美味しくいただきました。

Friendly atmosphere and a fantastic experience
Truthfully, the area I walked through to get there from the light rail station was not the grestest, but I felt completely at ease once I reached the hostel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I had never stayed in a hostel before. It was an intetesting experience. I got the opportunity to meet other people from all over the world. If I am ever in Baltimore again, I would not think twice about where to stay.

Great hostel, great location
Great hostel, free breakfast, clean rooms, friendly staff, cool deco. I would stay here again.

Nightmare of a checkin! Blankets past prime
Check in was a nightmare and I was soo close to just giving up and leaving. I would have if it wasn't late and raining! They didn't have my reservation and thought I was crazy (I had email confirmation on my phone so I knew I wasn't). I had pre-paid and they tried to tell me I didn't and made me pay again (only allowed that cause late and rainy). Breakfast was very reduced hours and simply a joke (I never got to eat). Blankets were long past there prime and really thin. On the plus side, I did like there was a multistrip for plugging in electrics on every bed. Overall checking in spoiled the entire experience for me.

Great facility EXCEPT mattresses. Great employees.
Hostelling international is my favorite accommodations chain because you get to meet other folks who are also open to meeting. Never had a boring conversation at a HI. Because I can't climb to the upper bunks easily, I take the lower ones fully knowing the mattress will suck. I wish they alternated mattresses more frequently.
