Hello Ronald. We're sorry our property did not meet your expectations. All beds are new to Heathwood this season. Each person's bed preference is different so it's hard to find one type that will satisfy all. All the messages we send to our guest have our personal contact information included. Our address is listed on our website and every site we are listed on. No kleenex would be an oversight as our housekeepers are human and if contacted, we could have easily provided you with a box and with simple instructions on where the light switch is for the shower. We have never gotten a bad review about this particular room and find it sad that you did not enjoy your stay. Nonetheless, all the best and hope you got to enjoy Bar Harbor and Acadia

Hi Leon. Bar Harbor is one of the safest places in the world; and as such, the main entrance is not necessary to be closed as all rooms are closed with coded locks. Hope you enjoyed our safe little town!

Hi Mikyong. You were the first and only guest to complain of an odor issue to date; which we took seriously and promptly relocated you into an Air BnB apartment. Breakfast has not been offered at Heathwood for over four years so we apologise for any confusion or miscommunication in that area. All the best!

There is a landline in the lobby of Heathwood for just the purpose you stated as we know Cell phone service is spotty on the island and dependent on network choice. We are self check in and out but try to be available for anything a guest might have issues with or needs. All the best!

Hi Robert. Sorry our property did not meet your expectations for your one night stay; Since you are still with us; please check the settings on the AC and ensure it is on cool and below 70 degrees. When you say no "hair conditioner", are you saying the dispenser in the bathroom is empty? If so, we can have some for you before you check out. We have also never had any complaints about the WIFI strength; maybe try changing your position or using another device and see if that helps. All the best

Hi Cathy,Thank you for your feedback. We had to stop serving breakfast for a while because of covid restrictions that we had to follow. But we wanted to bring it back right away for our guests, so we started this voucher system. We had added this in property descriptions and also now include all information on this in check in messages. We definitely not intending to hide this from our guests. Hi Alex,Sorry to hear that you did not had a good experience. Bar Harbor is pretty safe place so most of the residents really don't lock doors. We are locals here and we never had any issues with security. We basically don't lock our offices most of the times. For Inn, as guests are coming in and out, we prefer not to lock and but surely have locks in the rooms as you mentioned.Breakfast was not served for a while because of covid restrictions we had to follow but we wanted to bring it back for our guests as soon as possible, so we started this voucher system. We have put this in property description and have started to send info about it to guest in check in messages. We surely not intending to hide this from our guests.We have tried our best to have a reasonable price for rooms, we do review our price on weekly basis. Most of the business in Bar Harbor and Acadia Area close from November to around April/May, we basically only operate during a short summer and autumn season, that's why everything is bit expensive including accommodation, restaurants, grocery etc.We will definitely look into cleanliness details you talked about, we certainly don't want to compromise on the quality of cleaning.Thank you again for choosing us for your holiday.RegardsHeathwood Inn
