Super hosts, very welcoming and helpful. Good food and quirky characterful establishment. Convenient for the town, easy walking distance. Parking can be a challenge near by. A little more detail cleaning the bathroom would be great. Enjoyed staying here.

Golden wedding anniversary stay
Could not fault our stay room cleanliness excellent. It was our golden wedding anniversary and Glenda made us a special desert, would recommend homelands to anyone.

Staff was very helpful, especially in accommodating early arrival. The garden room and the garden itself were quite pleasant. Unusually good sausages at breakfast, Right across from bus stop.

Beautiful stay
From arrival to departure Glenda and Daniele were amazing hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded to room 3 which was beautiful and comfortable. Gorgeous views of the garden. Breakfast was delicious and we also had an evening meal, authentic Italian food. We had an amazing visit. Highly recommended

Bike trip
The owners were friendly. Room was comfortable. Breakfast was very nice, and I had a very secure spot to keep my bike overnight which was the most important thing on a bike tour :)

Friendly and clean
Extremely clean and tidy. Glenda and Danielle very friendly and helpful. I would like to go back sometime for a longer stay.

Great place to stay in Barnard Castle
Just an overnight stay, I wish it had been longer. Very comfortable room, lovely dinner (with homemade ice cream) and my favourite breakfast (scrambled egg & smoked salmon). Easy to park.

We arrived on a wet and windy teatime and were very warmly welcomed by the host. The property was very homely and cosy and the room was very nice, they had thought of everything including shower caps which I appreciated. There was even some rhubarb pie for us- a lovely touch. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and plentiful. If we come back to the area we will be sure to use again and thank you for the cake recipe which I cant wait to make

Comfy Clean room. Had a lovely vegetarian breakfast. Accommodated my out of hours check in as I was working nearby and couldn’t make the normal check in times. Would stay there again.

The young couple were so warm and friendly, even had a home made cookie in our room for a welcome. Fantastic amenities, and so central to everything

Brilliant.
I had a lovely stay. The couple who run the guesthouse are lovely. The breakfast was outstanding. Nicest breakfast I’ve ever eaten.

Gorgeous little place! Have stayed here twice now and been totally spoiled. The food is fabulous and the owners Glenda and Daniele can not do enough to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Will be going back again without doubt.

Great owners, nice place and good breakfast. The room was very small and a bit cramped, and the bathroom was across the landing - but I knew about the bathroom and it was cheaper because of this. The heating was a bit hit and miss, didn’t come on early enough and I never found the ideal radiator setting. But overall it was a good base for a wedding.

just returned from an excellent weekend stay at homelands guest house .lots of extra touches which made for such a friendly welcome from Glenda and Danielle.homemade cake in the room and homemade bread with the very good breakfast..top class toiletries provided along with bathrobe ..and on our return to our room at night Glenda asked if we would like a hot mulled wine nightcap..perfect !! we will certainly return ...

Very good facilities, friendly staff and an ideal situation close to the town centre. Free parking outside the front door. Lots of steps so not good for some people but it didn't bother me.

Excellent location for local attractions
We were warmly greeted and the room was very comfortable. Also we enjoyed an excellent full English breakfast. The host and hostess also offer an home cooked evening meal but arrangement.

Top class B & B run by very friendly hosts Glenda and Daniele. Home baked cake in our rooms upon arrival, tasteful settings, excellent breakfast with plenty to choose from including homemade bread and hot croissants. Highly recommended.

Perfect Overnight Stay
Lovely traditional Guest House. Very conveniently situated within walking distance of town centre. Warm and friendly welcome. Comfortable room with large comfortable bed and view over pretty garden. Everything we needed was provided. Excellent breakfast. Can highly recommend.
