The staff was wonderful help us arrange a taxi to and from the bus station. Michele was the sweetest and made a wonderful breakfast each morning. The hotel is in a great part of town and close to many cafes and restaurants. Only wish the suite offered a shower and the ac was a little better but we really enjoyed our stay.

The locstion is excellent but you cannot access it by your car at it's a restricted area. The property is a real cave. The bath room is small. The breakfast is very good. 2 nights are more than enough.

Thank you Michele and staff for what was one of the best vacations we ever had. Room was stunning, and Michele, Iris and Simona were extremely helpful, kind and lovely. Michele’s breakfast was outstanding. The whole experience was one of the best we’ve ever had and we’ve travelled a lot. Grazie Michele!!!

Tudo perfeito , localização, ambiente , só não gostei do banho , pois não tem chuveiro , apenas uma banheira. E também poderia ter mais luzes no banheiro .

5 star service in 5 star property in 5 star area
Parking off site. Van with driver delivers you and luggage to reception where met with helpful and friendly staff. We arrived 30 minutes before check in and room not ready. Room 5 minute walk from reception. Luggage delivered to room. Since it is a cave somewhat dark but quite spacious with unique shower. The bed is on a raised platform which is somewhat difficult to get on and off. All the service is 5 stat. The breakfast was extraordinary. Great restaurants nearby.

Exceptional! Beautiful location.
An amazing little and friendly hotel in the heart of Matera. Large room combined with sitting room. The bathroom was very spacious and the bathtub was a cool built in place pool.

Beautiful hotel across a number of different levels in a fantastic location with a warm welcome & greeting by Michele when booking in. Breakfast hosted by Michele (& his assistant) was a real highlight to start the day before exploring the unique sites of Matera. We had an issue with shower & bathroom which the owners daughter Andrea took responsibility for & resolved to our complete satisfaction. Five star service, we will definitely book again when we come back to Matera.

Vacanza a Matera
Che dire, esperienza più che positiva. Se volete provare l'alloggio in una "casa caverna" questo è il posto ideale. Non è una location economica, ma è molto suggestiva e quindi direi prezzo allineato alla situazione attuale di mercato (intendo Matera a livello di notorietà e moda attuale). Un plauso particolare a Michele che ci ha "coccolati" durante la colazione. Bravo, cortese, professionale e anche preparato. Piccolo appunto, non era presente la TV, forse guasta, ma lo dico visto che era indicata nell'elenco dei servizi. Altro piccolo appunto, la vasca non era dotata di saliscendi e quindi unico modo di lavarsi era farsi il bagno. Ripeto piccole note come consigli di miglioramento

Struttura e camere bellissime…effetto WOW garantito. Personale gentilissimo ed attento ad ogni dettaglio…ti coccolano. La colazione con anche prodotti tipici è superlativa. All’arrivo ci hanno anche dato spiegazioni e dei consigli utilissimi per visitare Matera…meglio di un ufficio turistico. Davvero uno dei migliori soggiorni mai fatti in vita mia.

A quiet peaceful night’s rest
Before arriving we received an email from the hotel advising us where to park and take a shuttle since there are restrictions on driving in the old city. Although the parking said it was full, they accommodate us and drove us to the hotel. We were warmly greeted at the reception and then escorted to our room. The room was built into the mountain side, with some of the stone still visible. The only “complaint” is that the only natural light came in through the glass panel in the door. For privacy reasons we kept it closed. As a result, we ended up sleeping in because we were unaware of the time. When we checked out, we were able to leave our luggage in the reception while we explored the city. We made a reservation for the afternoon to be taken back to the parking garage. At the appointed time, the shuttle was there and drove us back. Would definitely stay there again.

Amazing room and excellent breakfast
The city of Matera is incredible and La Casa Di Lucio is a memorable place. The service is excellent and our breakfast was really wonderful, thanks to Michele. He is a superb host. We only wished we had stayed longer!

Very clean, close to great restaurants for dinner, 2 minutes away from the Plaza. Check in was in Angelo hotel 4 minutes away walking. Beautiful cave. Breakfast delicious and excellent service.

Das Hotel La Casa Di Lucio Relais ist mit seinen Zimmern einzigartig. Es ist alles äußerst sauber und man ist vom Still der Zimmer überwältigt. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Da wir mit dem Auto angereist sind benötigten wir das Parkservice das einwandfrei funktionierte. Auto bei der Ankunft vor dem Hotel abgestellt und der Rest war nicht mehr meine Sorge. Auf Grund der Örtlichkeit (beschränkte Einfahrt in die Höhlenstadt , keine Parkplätze) aber unbedingt notwendig. Was hat mir nicht gefallen? Da gab es nichts was mir nicht gefallen hat. Das Hotel und die Stadt sind einfach top!

Beautiful and tastefully done. The Staff was amazing from the first greeting to a fabulous breakfast with Michael. We arrived midday and the Reception was welcoming. Every detail was perfect. I can’t say enough of how warm the Staff was. I will definitely return and will recommend this Gorgeous Hotel to anyone visiting the area. Location was right in the heart of the action. 15 minute walk to everywhere. Made our dinner reservations. Thank You

The whole stay was an experience of its own. The room was literally a cave (not man made) obviously luxurious and with all the amenities. The shower was a bit complicated but we managed. The best part was Michele, the guy in charge of the breakfast room. We had so many questions about the place and he was more than happy to answer them and even give us a background on the place. He went out of his way to help us. The people are very organized and send you instructions on getting there, so if you can follow directions it’s not hard to get there.

From a central reception staff take you into the village to your room in a cave ! They are beautifully appointed with all modern facilities. However a small kettle for tea making (British) would be nice.

Très belle ville. Chambre magnifique. Très bon petit déjeuner (merci Michele). Emplacement top. Service parfait. Attention la réception est a l hôtel San Angelo, un peu plus bas. Restaurant de l hôtel a éviter (Regia Corte, mauvais et cher ).

Anfahrt etwas kompliziert, aber die Hotelboys waren vor den Carabinieris da ! Anfahrt durch gesperrte Straße, vom NAVI vorgegeben ! Beim Öffnen der Unterkunft etwich uns ein Wou !!! Das sollte man sich einfach mal gönnen !!!! Aber Achtung, der Parkplatz kostet 20,00 EUR/Tag - heftig !!!

Uns ist es ein Rätsel wie dieses Hotel ein Relais sein kann und auf eine solche Bewertung kommt. Wir hatten eine Suite für 3 Nächte für zirka 300 Euro die Nacht. Es entspricht keinem 4-Sternehotel und hat das Niveau eines Bed and Breakfast. Kein funktionierendes Wlan, unangenehmes billig Federbett, Warmwasser erst nach 2 Minuten warten, sehr dreckige und laute Klimaanlage die auch als Heizung dient, keine funktionstüchtige Heizung im Bad, Reinigungskraft kommt nicht täglich, keine Sicht (allenfalls im Bad), extrem hellhörig (Touristenpfad führt direkt an der Haustür vorbei), kein room Service, ein halbes dutzend Insekten im Zimmer beim Einzug etc. Wir hatten noch nie so ein schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. In der Umgebung waren 3 Sterne Hotels die wirklich Sicht hatten und zumindest von draußen gepflegter aussahen. Hotel to avoid. Absolutely overpriced. Really a tourist trap.

Номера отеля - отдельные апартаменты в пещерах с современным оснащением, что позволяет проникнуться духом Матеры. В целом все понравилось: номер чистый, персонал отзывчивый, завтрак хороший, расположение идеальное для прогулок по старому городу.
