The swimming pool temperature was very cold. They are on solar heating as i was told but could not last very long in the pool. big let down for the kids. As this was the main reason we decided to stay in this hotel

Inside the hotel is very dirty, a lot snack under the bed. We also request for room connection or side by side, the staff member just notice when check in.

The property is surrounded by green, close enough to the beach that you can walk, but there is no view from your room. The property is bit old, and not very clean, we found the previous guest earings on the night stand. Rooms are small but with high ceiling, "neigbours" can be loud if they choose to chat sitting outside. Staff are helpful and very friendly.

The property is in a good location, with walking distance to all attractions, restaurants, and the beach. The rooms are a little dated and dark!

Overpriced and Under-Delivered
Booked a 3 day stay in the New Year. Room was large but dated. Outside the room on the patio was a decomposing dead bird. Black mould on the bathroom ceiling and spots on the walls. Room was not serviced on the first day so I queried this with reception who explained that due to being 4 house keepers short the room wasn’t cleaned. They offered me replacement towels. The manager later called and offered to clean the room, this was done around 9pm. Although the bins weren’t emptied and replacement tea/coffee not provided. The next day the same situation. The room wasn’t serviced by 6pm so I spoke with reception who said it would be cleaned. This happened around 7pm. On my final morning water was coming through the ceiling from the upstairs bathroom (through a light socket). Puddle of water in the bathroom. I informed the manager who was at reception and fed back on the issues experienced. She was apologetic and blamed issues with the laundry company for delays cleaning rooms. This differed to what I was told previously. I slept poorly for all 3 nights that I stayed due to the poor sound proofing of the room. I was woken each morning by the stomping of feet and closing of cupboards and doors. This needs addressing. Hotels guests smoking weed outside their room on the second day. Disappointing stay. Avoid. Overpriced and under-delivered

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. When things go bad for a guest they can easily spiral and I am sad that this is what happened for you. We were only made aware of the dead bird when you were leaving which we could have sorted as soon as we knew. Yes we had issues this weekend with a external party who does our laundry totally out of our control hence why I was the one at 9pm cleaning your room as you asked. The mould you have shown was from the bathroom above which leaked into your bathroom which you brought to our attention as the water came through your ceiling. Sometimes when things go bad for a guest their experience gets overshadowed by everything and they can't seem to find any positives to their trip and I am sorry this was the case for you. If you want to come stay with us again you have my card so please let me know. We wish you a happy new year hope it is fulled with lots of positives.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great location, walkable to the beach but far enough away to be quiet in the evenings. Restaurant served a decent breakfast and the dinner offerings were limited, but great quality.

Bustourismus Hotel, sanfte Renovation nötig
Dieses Hotel hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Eine sanfte Renovation der Tische und Stühle in den Zimmern und insbesondere auf den Balkonen ist angezeigt. Die Reinigung der Balkone ist schon länger nicht gemacht. Das Hotel hat definitiv keine 4 Sterne verdient. Superior Zimmer sind gross und Frühstücks Buffet ist in Ordnung, mehr aber auch nicht. Lage in Zentrumsnähe ist von Vorteil, alles ist zu Fuss erreichbar.

The property was well maintained and very clean. The beds were comfortable. The rooms provided all amenities mentioned on the site, so no surprises. Our unit (2 queens) was very roomy. Aside from the dated rooms, my only complaint has to do with noisy neighbors; we shared a door with them which made for less sound proofing. It was nothing a little white noise couldn't fix. Overall, we had a good experience and would definitely stay there again.

The room was a good size. The shower pressure was good. It was close to town so everything was within walking distance. The pool was nice. Good options for dining. The walls were paper thin and you could hear EVERYTHING happening in the room next door. This made our stay very uncomfortable and unpleasant. We would not return to this hotel again due to the noise. We had three horrible nights with not much sleep.

The room was spacious, clean and good facilities. Arrived at 2:20pm, and unfortunately advised that our room was not ready, then asked to visit the nearby Alfresco, until about 3;30pm when the room would be ready. Having driven a significant distance, it could have been a better gesture to be offered a coffee at the hotel maybe?

Deluxe rooms at the best hotel in Paihia
We usually choose the Deluxe rooms, which are the newest rooms and are at the back of the property. They are quiet and their outlook is into the internal garden. The upper level rooms have the best view. We chose the Scenic, as it has the best facilities of any hotel in Paihia. It is on the outskirts of town, but is just a very short walk into the town centre.

Room was a good size, good value for what we paid, private, quiet and very clean and tidy. Beautiful grounds, kids enjoyed the pool. Good location- walking distance to the beach, main restaurants and shops in Paihia, but hotel is set back off the main road, so no street noise.
