I just stayed one night, but it was very nice. An old house with lots of character. My room was upstairs. So not for those with bad feet or knees. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was nice and the hosts were pleasant.

Lucy's Place B&B has potential. The host couple are gracious and forthcoming. Our room, the Parlour Room, was dated. The bed and pillows were atrocious resulting in a very fitful sleep. Breakfast was good and the property is well located.

Great B&B in Bayfield WI
The only negative I have about the stay was the cloudy skies, but we can’t control that. Apolo the dog was very sociable and friendly. All in all, I highly recommend this if B&B’s are what you are looking for.

The double room was very wee, with no room next to the bed. No shower, but nice jetted tub. Breakfast was excellent.

Below expectations
The fit and finish in the family solarium room was far below what we expected for the price. For instance, inability to fully close and latch the bathroom door! (due to heaving of tile floor). No hooks or shelves in bathroom, bedroom, or living space for toiletries, clothing, or wet towels. 2 person whirlpool tub with hand shower and no shower curtain. Instructions were to point the shower stream towards the tiled corner of the tub. Very difficult to shower one handed. High step over to enter the tub. Creaking floors, very little room for luggage. No dresser for unpacking, no luggage rack. Arrived after dark, very difficult to find the parking area. No communication from hosts about how to arrive and park prior to our check in. There is a Husky dog in residence. Dog is young and friendly - to the point of not being able to stay out of the kitchen and dining area. Quite a bit of dog hair around, including on the floor in our upstairs room. Hosts were friendly and pleasant, and the breakfast was nicely done.

Lucy's place is a beautiful spot to stay in Bayfield. We were only there for a quick night but hosts Bruce and Barb we're great. Everything was clean and inviting, the yard is beautiful, and all the hot spots are a short walk down the hill. Hope to be back for a longer stay.

Very charming B&B. Beautiful gardens and orchard. Very pleasant feel. Large exterior covered porch for lounging. Owners were very nice, knowledgeable about the area and conversationists.

Nice Stay in Bayfield WI
Nice place to stay in Bayfield WI. Lucy's Place is very laid back. Guests there become almost part of the family. Common areas are shared with the owners. A tasty, filling breakfast is served.

Very friendly & helpful host; full room amenities - fridge, microwave, Wi-Fi, coffee pot, even wine glasses & plates & tableware. Comfortable bed. It was a converted old building so steep, narrow stairs & small bathroom expected but only had a tub in the bathroom, no shower (not easy for 70 age folks). Beautiful grounds, gardens, big comfortable porch. Great location - not in main part of town but easy walk to all the town stuff. Very limited dining out options in town. Breakfast planned & provided by host was the same for all & we didn't like much of it. Enjoyed our stay but probably woudn't choose it again because of the lack of a shower & limited breakfast options.

Bed was old and not comfortable at all. Room was right on a noisy street. No shower, just a tub and dog hair throughout (and I’m allergic to dogs).

Pleasant Stay
Lovely home but older place with small rooms. Beautiful grounds. Hosts were awesome. Parking is a bit of a challenge to find; it's off a dead-end alley. Traffic is a bit noisy as the house is right on the main route into town. Wonderful breakfast with delicious homemade jams.

Eco-friendly, congenial hosts with a very nice touch in the kitchen for breakfast and for a homemade quilt on the bed. We could easily view the stars at night from the porch. A bit of traffic noise as house is on the "scenic byway" through town.

Barb and Bruce are very kind and generous people. Lucy's place was quaint, quiet, and well run with a fabulous breakfast. We would definitely stay there again.

The couple who own it were very friendly. We had a view of Lake Superior! Served a great breakfast. A very cute place.

this was the 2nd time I stayed at Lucy's Place after camping and kayaking in the Apostles, and it is a wonderful place to land with giant bathtubs and easy access to everything in Bayfield. Breakfast was great, conversation was great and the yard and porch were marvelous places to hang out!

Property is very old and seriously needs an upgrade. Our room was so disappointing that we decided not to stay the second night even though we paid for it. No shower, uncomfortable bed, small. Inn keeper was very politically vocal. When you are on a get away this is not what you want to hear. Breakfast was good. Would not recommend.

The host & hostess were very friendly and attentive. The property is unique and had interesting gardens. The house had a great porch. One must have a love for old farmhouses to appreciate Lucy's Place and we do. The place was a bit worn out but charming. The towels and linens were scratchy. The bathroom door did not provide the privacy we would have preferred and there wasn't a nightlight in the bathroom. All in all we enjoyed our stay and the area was fun and there are a lot of things to do.
