If Rumors had good food I don't think I would've ever left of the resort. It was beautiful and the staff was amazing.

Fine if you don't plan on staying around the room too much. Disconnected service, owner is selling the property and it clearly shows. Poor communication between staff and guests. Not worth the money for a 'resort.'

Just ok
Good room. Terrible restaurant. Coffee was terrible. Pool was nice. However, loud music on Saturday until 3am! Could not sleep. Supposedly the owner threw a party! Hmmm. Not so nice for his guests. One night, went for dinner at 6:30 and the chef left. No nearby restaurants.

Todo muy bien, lugar tranquilo, familiar, con restaurante y buen servicio. Lo único es que cierran un poco temprano la cocina.

I wasn’t happy with the first room because the rain got in and so I had to change rooms. The ground was uneven for the parking area

Thank you very much for your feedback as this is what helps us improve. We are entering our rainy season and even so we haven't have had a lot of rains so it was hard for us to know that the room was going to have that issue. Unfortunately, we had some heavy rains on the day of arrival and it was until then that we noticed the issue and we went ahead and upgraded to one of our standard rooms free of charge. Since then, the issue has been dealt with already. Rumors Resort is located on top of a hill and we try to keep our surrounding areas as natural as possible. So our parking lot is not as even as our highways are but its a lot better compared to other parking lots around the areas.

Like: Staff were friendly and helpful. Grounds were clean and pleasing to the eye. Room was clean and comfortable with AC and TV. Dislike: Music was played far too loud most of the day from the pool area, and sometimes restaurant too. Food and drinks were not very good. I ordered a fish sandwich and got fried chicken instead but ate it anyway because I was very hungry, and bloody mary tasted like it was mostly concentrated lemon juice - undrinkable.

We stayed at Rumors for 7 nights and it really felt like home. We are US 67 years old, very fit,love to drink and drove from BZE with a rented car. The staff were excellent especially Joshua, Ulysses, and Elmer. As we moved through Belize looking back on our travels this was the best equipped with amenities such as cups, coffee, water, etc. Rumors is situated on a hill looking out at Guatemala maybe 30 miles away with a great view just a mile or so away from San Ignacio. There was always a cooling breeze. Food and drinks were very moderately priced and good. Especially after doing excursions (Tikal, ATM) all day. The pool was great. Some local families come to use the pool during the day which makes it great and exuberant. Saturday night Karaoke is a hoot with all the international guests! They dug up all these gypsy songs for some Chicago based Romanians. Hector, the lovely low key owner does his own Karaoke on Sunday afternoons which is mostly Spanish for families. Can't wait to go back!

Elmer and his staff were very accommodating. He scheduled our trip to Tikal which was well worth it and also told us how to get to Xunantunich. Ulysses and Nyellie went above and beyond to get our meals ordered correctly. The pool is gorgeous and bar service is available. Our favorite meal was a three course dinner celebrating Valentine’s Day. We highly recommend Rumors for those looking for a great place to relax.

The property is beautiful, the beds are comfortable, and I cannot say enough about the staff!!! Luis, will you marry me??? Lol. Seriously tho, they were the best part of the entire experience!

Elmer was very kind and always wanting to help. Luis was a nice young man who was very helpful. they kept the pool, dining area, room, and grounds very clean.

Pleasant place to stay. Basic room and amenities, but met our needs. Most of these resorts are just far enough out of town you need to take a taxi in, but the staff was great with helping us out with that. I would stay here again.

Very clean very good staff nicely manicured. Everyone was so nice. For a nice clean place to stay it might be a little dated a little dim lit but for the money it’s a good value in my humble opinion. Would definitely stay there again.

The only reason I didn’t give this property 5 stars was because upon check-in and looking over the bed sheets it was clear they didn’t change them from the last guests that stayed there. We told the front desk and they had us switch rooms and from there we had no issues! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They helped us get a taxi to get around and answered any questions we had. We had nachos twice during our stay and breakfast once. Both were so good and fresh. I will also say that their landscaping is absolutely to die for. They keep it looking so clean and good. The rooms are outdated but I didn’t mind. I would recommend anyone to stay here!

Awesome place! 5.00 taxi to town, quiet and cozy. Felt like we had the place to ourselves the whole time. Loved the pool. Great view above forest/amazing sunsets. Staff was always asking if we were good, very nice and very helpful. Great experience.

I liked the was the property was terraces but could be difficult for older people. It was difficult to contact them when we were late but they were very accommodating.

Helpful and Friendly staff. Beautiful pool- available late hours. Amazing setting- with mountains and Rainforest setting all around. Restaurant and Bar had great atmosphere. The pictures on the website don't do this place justice. Other than to take a tour that they offer- no need to leave the resort.

Everyone very helpful and accommodating Food was good. The room air conditioner did have a hard time keeping up- just needed serviced. The bed was hard. The pool and lounge area was amazing. Nice to have a bar at the pool. Beautiful mixed pool drinks.

Very clean and the staff is incredibly supportive. I felt like I was safe, that's a special feeling being so far from home! Delicious food all day. I didn't even go eat in town I was so satisfied with the options. Total bonus was the A/C and comfortable beds. I will definitely return.

My main issue was no hot water for the entire 3 days we were there. Also the cover they gave us for the bed literally fit just the top of the bed so we had to stay cuddled up all night just to have a cover. And it was thin as a top sheet so didn’t really do much to begin with. The only thing my husband and I liked was the pool and pool bar. Their bartender Brandon was the only reason we had a good time at all at our hotel. We were pretty ready to leave and it made our next hotel in Ambergris Caye seem like a five star hotel (Ocean Tide)
