Lovely small hotel and restaurant, and across the street from another superb restaurant called silver fork. Staff was extremely gracious and helpful

We love the Reluctant Panther. The staff is exceptional, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Very relaxing way to celebrate husband’s birthday.

Outstanding, luxury accommodations. HUGE bathroom with double jet tub, double shower. Very romantic with a huge posted bed and fireplace. Highly recommended. Staff is great - Mary and Donna were super. Dinner was 5 star. We are repeat visitors since 1995.

Got a free upgrade to a larger room with a working fireplace. Excellent dining options within walking distance. Mulligans was relaxed with good pub food. V-Day dinner at Panther was wonderful, and the dinner at Silver Fork (across the street) was one of the best dinners we have ever had.

Wish we could have stayed longer but the staff were super attentive, dinner & breakfast was yummy and the rooms were gorgeous, spacious, comfortable and the fire was lit!

Only a B Because Service Must Be Exceptional
My stay was delightful. The Innkeeper who assisted us during check-in was gracious and hospitable. My daughter and I chose to have breakfast in our room, and it was presented in a charming picnic basket. Upon check-out, another welcoming lady was present at the front desk. My only concern is that the gentleman (presumably the owner or general manager) did not acknowledge my daughter and me, despite making eye contact. There was no 'good morning,' no offer to hold the door, nor a simple inquiry about our stay, which would have been small yet considerate gestures of appreciation, particularly for a property that promotes itself as a luxury inn.

A New England gem
Brill’s y! Manchester is a lovely place with great places to eat. The hotel is a pearl - a real New England property with lots of character. The property looks after all your needs to the details. Location is excellent. Strongly recomendo!

Having booked a Superior room we were taken out of the main building to a garden room that was up a steep narrow flight of stairs. The property smelt musty and of damp, immediately that the door was opened. Having declined this room we were offered an alternative more expensive room (at a supplement) in the main building. Unfortunately, we got no sleep due to noise from (we think) an industrial ice machine which switched on regularly through the night. It sounded like a jet taking off. There is no-one on site over night to raise issues such as this with and we ended up irritable and unrested the following morning. The desk clerk said they would raise it with the inn-keeper who initially requested an additional $300 payment over what we had paid Expedia. This was subsequently dropped.

An old building, a bit rickety, steep narrow stairs. We were not in the main part of the inn, but in what seemed to be an old house modified for two story use. The staff was courteous and pleasant. There was not really enough parking for everyone. We would not choose this inn again.

Beautiful boutique inn! Staff was amazing! Wonderful little things in the room to greet you- cookies, Saratoga water bottles, welcome card. Morning basket breakfast was amazing! It was great to have a choice when and where you wanted to eat your breakfast! Truly outstanding service!

It's located in one of the most lovely old New England towns that makes you feel like your on a movie set it's so perfect. The Inn itself is very nice with lovely gardens, ponds and a scenic view to Mount Equinox in the distance

My husband and I recently stayed here and we absolutely loved it. The staff was friendly and attentive and it was perfectly located. We would highly recommend it.

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights for a ski trip. The Inn was very well taken care of and the staff was extremely accommodating. They had our breakfast ready every morning to go with all wonderful food. Our only complaint was our room was close to the road so there was a lot of traffic noise.

The room with it's fireplace was well appointed. Beautiful artwork throughout, some available for purchase. The accommodating nature of everyone on site particularly Mary made our stay wonderful. As Arnold said, we'll be back!
