Close proximity to Casino and expressway, close to many things.

This place is really starting to show its age. Really over due for a remodel. What gets me is they charge such exorbitant rates when the nearby casino has an event, close to being price gouging. It’s basically a Red Roof Inn.

The only problem we had with the property is the smell in the room. The room had a strong powdery smell. We had to keep the window open to tolerate the smell. There are alot of people with allergies to fragrance and perfumes. This motel should not be using air fresheners or cleaners with strong a fragrance in there rooms.

There were hairs in the sheetsnof both beds in the room. I mentioned this to the front desk person and they moved me to another room right away.

NO MAID SERVICE!! I was not told of this when I checked in. I would not have stayed a second night if this had been disclosed.

The front desk staff did inform guest at check in about housekeeping service procedures. There is also a sign at the front desk explaining this. Fresh supplies are available from the front desk 24/7

My wife and I stay at this Holiday Inn every time we visit New Buffalo because we know we will be greeted with friendly employees, a clean room, yummy breakfast, and an overall excellent experience. We recommend everyone visiting New Buffalo stay at this Holiday Inn. Also, this might be only important to me, but I LOVE the cable lineup here. Excellent selection of channels. Always know I’ll be able to watch my shows when I stay here.

Needs an large deep clean!!!
The hotel used to allow smoking and now claimed to be non-smoking, but not enough has been done to clean it. Our room smelled of smoke covered by air freshener. My friends asthma was triggered more while in the room. Didn’t try to move rooms since we figured the whole place would be like that. Bathroom wallpaper was peeling and the smoke smell was even worse while using the shower. The carpet was dirty and the upholstered chairs visibly stained. For the price we paid it was very disappointing.

Felt it was over priced for Holiday Inn Express. Had to empty our own trash can because it was full. Nothing special except it was in convenient location for us. Stayed in way nicer hotels for the same price.

The property had thin walls - floors (noisy during busy weekend - steps/kids). Early morning noise/door slamming shut. Toilet clogged twice; TV remote unpredictably wouldn’t work. Breakfasts were good. Beds were comfortable.

All of the Staff are excellent. Very friendly and helpful. Hotel is convenient. Pool was in great condition. We had fun time between beach and pool.

King room had a little dining area and wet bar, microwave and small refrigerator. No safe in the room. Room was fine for a quick stay, but had a perfume smell that was masking a slightly mildewy smell. Carpet and upholstered furniture needs better cleaning. The bathroom had Dove toiletries (hand soap, lotion, shampoo, conditioner, body wash). The included self-serve breakfast had omelets, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereals, toast, bagels, pancake machine, muffins, bananas and apples, Chobani yogurt and juices/coffee. Acceptable stay.

Stay was good; place was quiet, breakfast was good, room was clean, bed slept well. Only issue I had was the floors all felt sticky--both carpet and bathroom. Location was easy, right off expressway, Lake Michigan beach in New Buffalo is only a mile or so down the road.

We booked a king suite with a pullout sofa bed, stayed in room 109. Our nonsmoking room smelled like cigarettes as soon as you opened the door, the carpet had almost a wave to it as it was no longer adhered to the floor, horrible lighting and ventilation. We pulled out the sofa bed for our son and the mattress was disgusting, there appeared to be human feces on the top right of it, multiple stains, crumbs, without a sheet or blanket. Nothing aside from them replacing the mattress that night would have allowed my child to sleep there, so he slept in the king bed with us both nights. We woke up Saturday morning to our car being hit in the parking lot by another guest, who hid there car in the back of the lot with our paint still on their car. We asked the front desk to call the police and provide security footage to the police, they said that they would not call the police and could not provide security footage. The police arrive, by our call, and it turns out that the vehicle was not registered appropriately at check in by staff and did not have an associated room, hotel would not provide video, so now we are stuck paying for the repair. That same night at around 1am the fire alarm went off in the entire hotel due to another guest smoking. We paid $678 for two nights, I am embarrassed and feel like a fool for having my family stay here.
