There was no hot tub or pool. Breakfast was extremely basic for a super 8, only apples and cereal bars. Windows in room weren't able to be opened

The staff person was very hard to understand. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the TV. We asked the staff person and he couldn't do it either. He then called some man on his phone to help. By then I had accidently found the channel we needed. There should have been an instruction sheet by the remote on how to use it. Disappointed.

Manager was very nice and came and showed us how to turn the TV on. Room was hot and we couldn't get it to cool down. Otherwise it was very nice.

AC couldn't get it cold.
Room itself wasn't bad but the old AC just couldn't cool the room down. When I first entered the room you could feel the humidity in the room and the AC unit helped but it never got cold.

The hotel it’s fine. The rooms good. But breakfast was one of the reason for me to rent there and what they offer it’s not really a breakfast but kind of snack and very very poor. They shouldn’t say they include breakfast.

We have stayed here previously with a better experience. We had 3 rooms this time and each smelled bad in different ways, animal and ???. I am aware this is a pet friendly place but all 3 rooms seems wrong.

Bathroom door stuck. Toilet and tub drainage slow. Chose hotel because ad said breakfast offered, but very limited cereal bars and a few pieces of fruit. Bed was comfortable.

We had booked a room with 2 beds but could only get a room with one bed. The bathroom was senior-friendly. We had no coffee available in the morning. There was no Kleenex paper in the room and the phone and clock did not work. We were overcharged by Expedia of $150 for a $111 standard room.

No parking anywhere. There are people hanging out and smoking in the unlit parking lot and the area doesn’t feel safe at all!! Not staying here!!

Breakfast not worth advertising as available
The "breakfast" was a joke. A couple breakfast bars, coffee and juice. The far stairway carpet was filthy, the room and lobby was very clean. The toilet didn't work very well.

nice place to stay
In town for a funeral and only needed a place to sleep for one night. Bed seemed a little hard to me (but I'm also used to a sleep number bed), and the air never fully cooled the room. If I was staying longer, or doing more at the hotel, I might be more critical of things. The staff I spoke to were all super nice and helpful. Bonus points to them for that. I would've liked a real breakfast instead of cereal bars and coffee/juice, but they pointed me to a restaurant nearby where I could get good food cheap. If I need a hotel in Berlin again, It will definitely be here. complete opposite of our stay at another Super 8 in Hampshire IL 3 weeks prior

Nice and clean but not best for business travelers
The,property feels and looks quite new. But, not the best for business travel when you might need good internet and easy sockets for recharging devices. Couldn’t get the internet access in room so had to go to the lobby sometimes.

Nice and clean. I would have liked a coffee pot in the room. Some of us need that coffee first thing, but needed to get dressed and go to the lobby 😟. Also, would have liked a breakfast.

Hard to sleep
The room was clean and the staff was friendly. However, the beds were too hard for a good night sleep. The fan in the bathroom gave off noise, but no air. This made it hard to towel off, because the risk was already damp from the moisture in the room.

Not again will we go there
So checking in was no problem. It started about 6pm. Big storm came in. Power went out. No emergency lighting in hallways, no exit lights big safety issue. Because no AC because of power wanted to open windows, found out they were screwed shut. Another issue if we had to get out. Power came on about 1am. They need to upgrade this place before someone gets hurt or cant get out because of a fire. Checking our was fine. Coffee and breakfast snacks.

Thank you for your review, as of April 2022 we had passed our fire inspection, meaning everything was in working order. Unfortunately this was our first power outage under new ownership and the concerns are being addressed immediately. We are thankful no one was hurt during the serve storm that blew through our area. The new ownership is continually scheduling upgrades to ensure the guests have the best possible stay at our location. (Including the windows that are screwed shut due to environmental safety code.) I am glad check-in and check-out met your standards, as we strive to provide excellent customer service.

Nice room recently remodeled. Friendly helpful staff. Noise/The heating and air conditioner unit needs replacing or upgrading. Pluming between room noise. The exhaust fan in the bathroom.
