Some "old fouly wood" odor in the rooms on the 5th floor. Otherwise, I liked the hotel very much. The staff is very friendly, everything is super clean. Breakfast appeared to be a little bit tiny but in detail, it was perfect because everything was filled up immediately.

Kivalla alueella sijaitseva hotelli, paljon ravintoloita ja kahviloita! Ratikka kulkee ihan hotellin edestä. Herkullinen ja monipuolinen aamiainen. Huone vähän vanhanaikainen, mutta kylppäri juuri uusittu. Meillä oli neljän hengen huone, ja se oli ihan tilava, ja plussaa säilytystiloista. Tavarat saatiin kaappeihin.

The property is old but well maintained. Main entrance has some stairs, so have to carry luggage. There's no lobby or public space to relax outside room. Rooms are basic but spacious. Area is full of dinning, shopping and walking options. All in all, is a good value option.

This hotel was recommended by Rick Steves and as usual he did not let us down. We had an excellent stay here. Great neighborhood, great staff, and a very clean and comfortable room. We'd stay here again.

Albergo a conduzione familiare che dispone di posto auto e noleggio biciclette entrambi a pagamento. Ben posizionato rispetto ai mezzi e ai ristoranti. A due fermate di metro da alexander platz raggiungibile anche a piedi. Zona vivace, ma tranquilla.

Skønt centralt Hotel i et hyggeligt kvarter
Vi havde 3 skønne overnatninger på dette hotel der ligger helt perfekt i forhold til at udforske Berlin. Skønt at der også var cykeludlejning med gode cykler. Vi valgte selv at sørge for morgenmad men, kunne se at hotellet serverede en god morgenmads buffe. Vil klart anbefale det til andre og kommer gerne selv igen. En mindre ting som ville betyde noget for en kaffe drikker ville være at der ud over te på værelset også var mulighed for at lave kaffe

Nice hotel in a convenient location for bars and cafes, coupled with a tramline to speed you to the tourist attractions, if the walk is not fancied. Hotel staff friendly and the room was modern and clean. Breakfast was continental with few hot options, although there was more than enough variety.

Inexpensive yet clean and pleasant. Hotel is situated in a nice part of town, with many restaurants, of all types, within walking distance. Breakfast served at the restaurant was very good. Most important, as we were tourists coming to explore Berlin for the first time, the tram station is right next to the hotel entrance so that getting around was easy and fast.

Would definitely reccomend!
Helpful staff who were excellent with my very poor german! Lovely clean rooms and excellent breakfast! The staff even helped us printing boarding passes when we were leaving! The tram took us to outside of the door and the ubahn was just a couple of minutes walk away so we could get all around the city so easily!

In the heart of bustling Kollwitzkiez, the hotel is a short walk from Rosenthaler Platz and a short subway ride to Alexander Platz. Easy to get to from the airport too - take FEX (airport express) to Berlin-Gesundbrunnen and switch to the U8 subway, and, then, it's a few stops to Rosenthaler Platz. Lots of multicultural places to eat nearby. The breakfast is expensive for the continental fair you get. The rooms are simple and not fancy. But the convenience and affordability are major plusses that easily outweigh the plainness of the rooms.

Two nights in Berlin
We spent two nights and one and a half days visiting in Berlin. This hotel was very convenient. It is right on the tram line…in fact the tram stop is directly in front of the hotel! You can even take a tram directly to the train station and hop on a train that takes you right to the airport. The hotel desk staff were very friendly, helped us figure out a game plan for seeing the sights, suggested restaurants and provided items we requested (example extra pillows) promptly. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. They didn’t have AC in the room where we stayed but we were there in October. During the day we left the windows ajar to bring in cooler fresh air and then closed them at night. Although it is right on a busy street with a tram, and our room looked over the street on the first floor (which we would call a second floor), when you close the windows and draw the curtains it is very quiet, well insulated from street noise. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is very good, well worth the $15 a person. There is an adjoining restaurant that looks very nice but we didn’t eat there, preferring to dine while out roaming the city. This hotel is basic with respect to “extras”. Bring your own shampoo and body lotion for example. But it is a very nice hotel that we can heartily recommend!
