The staff is extremely friendly and the location is wonderful, located right by the beach and boardwalk. The room was nice, comfortable bed with a lot of spots to charge the phone. Exhaust vent on balcony was a little loud so it was hard to hear the ocean. Indoor Pool area was really cold but the pool itself was well tempered and a nice size for a hotel pool (25m).

We were looking for a pet friendly hotel. Upon check in we were not informed of their $150 pet fee, rather at check out were we informed of this quite high charge for our one night stay. We understand pet fee policies and have happily paid them when we have traveled with our fur babies. However, this is an enormous fee amount and especially for a one night stay. This experience has left us not wanting to stay at a Marriott for our future travels.

The room was designed with a kitchenette for longer stays. We only stayed 1 night. It was fine. It was off-season so we liked the absence of crowds and noise. The $10/day parking fee seems excessive given the room rate.

We traveled to the Bethany Beach Marriott for a one night stay Thanksgiving weekend. The room was really nice, updated and clean. Loved the modern updates! The hotel was having issues with their internet provider that night so our TVs were not working properly at all. That was very disappointing. Even after a tech came in and notified us they were working on the connections because most of the residents we’re experiencing the same issue and told us that the service should be working after 9pm. The service never worked properly. I don’t know anyone that comes to a hotel to just sit and look at one another. We ended up using our laptops and phones for entertainment and enjoying the beautiful ocean view at night. So we made the best of it. Very inconvenient. But not a major issue I guess. The parking fee to park in the garage was unexpected. I don’t recall seeing this when I booked through Expedia. Next time I will have to go on the hotels actual website too to make sure I am aware of any additional fees. I learned they do things differently in Delaware. After spending $300 to book a room for one night having to pay for parking seems a bit ridiculous to me. The breakfast was outstanding! All in all our stay was a pretty nice way to wrap up our holiday weekend.

The location is great - safe and convenient. However, we had numerous issues with our room/restaurant: 1) The screen door leading to the deck was torn, 2: the sheer curtain was badly stained, 3) the toilet did not flush, 4) we ordered the basic spaghetti and meat balls dinner -- the meatballs were not cooked, were like rubber and could not easily be cut, and had to be taken off our check. Very disappointing stay compared to prior visits.

Anniversary getaway ruined
We booked an ocean front room and were moved to a non oceanfront room for no apparent reason. The hotel or Hotel. Com didn’t have an answer why this happened. Customer service said it must have been an computer error however i could have booked the oceanfront room the following day
