Greetings on our arrival were very good, the owner thankfully speaks excellent English. She was also very clear on instructions for us to find our way around a strange city, and her tip about using the "Funikular" to access Bilbao and the Guggenheim was spot on! Free parking, and casual walking to the city centre. Breakfast was very good, and I got the scrambled eggs that I wanted (perfectly cooked). The only downside was no facilities for making hot drinks (tea/coffee/chocolate) in the room. The interior finish of the Casa Rural Errota Barri is to a very high standard.

Designer style at a fair price
Great innkeeper and breakfast. Extremely tastefully decorated rooms and common areas and not to far from action in Bilbao. Only caution is the rooms don’t have air conditioning and there were no screens to keep out bugs at night and we experienced a heat wave in early October - a portable fan made sleeping bearable but certainly not ideal for Americans who are used to cool air conditioning at night.

La casa rural est en pleine campagne, elle est pour ceux qui aime le calme et qui ont une voiture. La maison est superbe, la chambre est magnifique et spacieuse, la vue est reposante du balcon. Lourdes et Hélèna ont tout fait pour que l'on se sente bien. Excéllent petit déjeuné. Bon rétablissement à Lourdes pour sa main. Merci pour tous.

Relaxing Stay in a Beautiful Property
A beautiful property in a quiet but central location, within 20/25 minutes of Central Bilbao, the Guggenheim Museum and the Coast. The room was superb with a Balcony and views to the Mountains. The breakfast was very good with freshly prepared bread, pastries and freshly sqeezed orange juice. Lourdes the host was so lovely and couldn't do enough to make our stay so wonderful. Highly Recommended for a relaxing stay in the region.

Excelente estancia en casa con mucho encanto. Buena ubicación para conocer pueblos de la costa vasca. Buena habitación, muy cómoda, buenas vistas, lugar ideal para pasar unas vacaciones. Lourdes muy amable y cercana. Alojamiento muy recomendable.

Rent och snyggt litet hotell med sköna sängar och supergod frukost med hemlagade bröd och sötsaker.Värdinnan är jättetrevlig och hjälpsam och pratar bra engelska. Ända nackdelen är att det saknas restauranger i närheten så man behöver köra iväg när man vill äta middag, men på hotellet i sig finns det inget att klaga på. Rekommenderas varmt!

Errota Barri es muy agradable; el espacio está cuidado, es cálido y muy acogedor. Destacamos el trato familiar por parte de Lourdes, la dueña; te hace sentir como en casa. El desayuno está muy bien, con pan y galletas caseras. Se cuidan los detalles. Muy recomendable.

Köp till frukost för 8 euro väl värt det. Mysigt ställe ute på landet med katter,hundar,höna och getter. Ägarinnan var supertrevlig. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta ställe vi åker gärna tillbaka.

Rural retreat.
Two night stay. Very clean and modern. Good checkin and owner speaks great English and happy to oblige any requests. Comfortable room. No issues. It’s a lovely area surrounding and very green and lush. You would def need a car to get to as it’s away from surbubia.

Lovely place.
This posada is right out in the coutryside, but only 20 minutes into the city of Bilbao. We stayed three nights here. The house is kept in a bautifully rural and artistic way. But it is also very relaxed. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and speaks very good English. We enjoyed the breakfast with many home-made elements. Fresh fruit, ham, cheese, fruit juice, etc, etc, Worth every cent. A kette was in the room for making drinks and you could also use the kitchen downstairs for making sandwiches free of charge, or cooking for a small charge. Our room was spacious, with a good bathroom and a lovely view. We would stay again without hesitation.

The perfect place
Lourdes, our hostess, could not be faulted, friendly and obliging with an excellent local knowledge. The room was large and spotless. The area is captivating and a joy to explore. Local restaurants were plenty and too inviting for our waistlines. Don't use a satnav as it will take you onto a track involving boulders and scratchy trees. The views are magnificent .....If you want to chill out, this is the place...Thanks so much Lourdes....we will be back

Accueil très chaleureux. Tout est très joli, aménagé avec gout, une propreté exceptionnelle. Le lieu et la maisons sont très jolis. Vraiment une adresse à recommander pour un prix très peu élevé, on trouve souvent moins bien dans des chambres qui valent le double.

Ruhig gelegen, aber auch gut für Ausflüge
Das Casa Rural Errota-Barri wird persönlich von der Eigentümerin geführt und man genießt die freundliche und menschliche Art, was sich auch auf die Gäste überträgt. Es ist ein Ort für Individualisten, aber auch ein Ort für interessante Begegnungen. Es liegt ganz im Grünen, dennoch ist der Weg vom Flughafen kurz. Auch nach Bilbao kommt man schnell, wie insgesamt die Anbindung an das Straßen- und Autobahnnetz gut ist. Zudem ist die schöne Küste nicht weit entfernt. Es ist ein Ort zum Entspannen, aber auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die anderen baskischen Regionen.

Ein kleiner Geheimtipp
Es war zwar nicht so einfach zu finden, unser Navi hat uns über einen Berg einen Waldweg hingeleitet. Aber das gefundene entschädigte. Es war einfach traumhaft. Das ganze Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Alles sehr sauber und schön. Wir wurden wie Freunde begrüßt. Die Gastgeberin spricht sehr gut Deutsch. Alles in allem, es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

THE place to stay near Bilbao
Thie is a perfect place. Cleanliness is impeccable, the owner treats you as you were family. The place is close to main attractions (beaches, large town) It's a 10 for everything. Even the little dogs will walk you from your car to the entrance. Hurry to make your reservation. You can use a large common area.
