It was a convenient place to stay for an early morning hike. Our rooms were in the west motel. The rooms were very small, bed seemed a lot smaller than a queen and very thin walls. We only stayed one night. We would not stay here again if we had to be in the west motel. In future we will just stay in Babb and have to drive a little more than stay here.

Good overnight stay
If you are expecting Holiday Inn or Ritz Carlton then this is not for you. However, if you are looking for a clean, comfortable overnight stop then this motel ticks all the boxes. Clean comfortable bed, nice shower, clean towels and a nice coffee maker. It is a compact room in a rustic style in a quiet and dark location. You can park your car adjacent to the room so no problem with large suitcases. The WiFi is excellent but the cell phone coverage is patchy. Given the limited and expensive options in St Mary’s we would have no hesitation in returning here.

An incredible hotel right near the east entrance to Glacier National Park. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!

I had a very nice view of the river and a nice big room. The cleanliness of the room could be improved. Carpets were dirty and stained. The coffee maker was not clean.

The West Hotel is very old, the rooms are very small as are the bathrooms. The walls are very thin. There was no housekeeping during our stay. Would not stay there again.

Inaccurate room charges
Great location for east entrance to Glacier NP. Also, close to Many Glacier entrance. We were in the motel annex across the road from the lodge. Rooms are small but fine for our needs. My complaint was with the front desk. I rcvd notice from my credit card that I was charged for a $78 dining bill. We did not eat in the dining room. Front desk gave me a receipt saying we were not charged. We left and luckily studied the receipt. Was not even my name. Went back. After over an hour of wasted time, turns out our room was under someone elses name and their room under ours. I'm still concerned that the bill will not be accurate. My advice, make sure your credit card charges are accurate when booking this hotel.

It is ideally located for hiking and sightseeing on the east side of Glacier NP. We also made a trip to Waterton Lakes NP in Alberta.

GNP was 5 stars, the hotel 3 at best. Some rooms have no TV and washers and dryer’s are a mile down the road at a campground, but they do charge 5 star prices.

The St Mary Village is a great location for exploring the Many Glacier and Two Medicine areas of Glacier National Park and to begin a trip across the Going to the Sun Road. The room at the lodge was very clean and comfortable. The mini fridge was a joke ( too small and no freezer for ice). It would have been nice to have a small microwave. The restaurant, gas station, grocery store and souvenir shops are great but we didn't realize that they shut down on September 22 so many items on the menu were not available and the grocery store shelves were almost empty. Was glad to travel to the West side of the park where more businesses are open.

Nice place to stay close to park entrance
Stayed in west motel, parking right outside your door. Room wasnt anything fancy but was clean and comfortable. Very close to Glacier National Park Entrance. Decent price.

This lodge has all the modern accommodation that travelers come to expect. It is a well keep property in a beautiful location. Our room/ balcony had amazing views of the river, valley and of course the mountains. This cost a little but was well worth it.

The cabins were old school but, every clean. Heat and a/c worked great. Could have used a little weather strip under the door. Everyone was very nice. I think the main restaurant dinner meals are a little on the expensive side for what choices you get. More selections on the menu would be nice. Over all great place to stay.

Beautiful lodge, moments from the entrance to Glacier NP East entrance. Prompt friendly checkin. Room recently refreshed with new furnishings and a wonderful bed. Beautiful view of the park with a creek of flowing water just our side. Wonderful (but expensive) dinner.

I thought the mini fridge in the room was a little small and it froze my vegetables. Also I would’ve liked a microwave for had microwave access in the room for the price of that room

Nice stay
We enjoyed our stay at St Mary's Village. The staff was nice and friendly and low key given the covid-19 restrictions of the area. Nicely located at entrance of Going-to-the-Sun road. Wish they offered a sit down breakfast.
