We booked a birthday weekend away with the kids in winter. When we got to the cabin we were REALLY dissapointed to see there were no sheets or towels provided for the kids beds ! When I rang the owners, they said it was standard practice, but it was not mentioned anywhere on my Last Minute booking information !!! I later found out it was listed on the Blackheath Cabins website - which you do not even look at if you have booked through Last Minute.com. I was informed that linen and towels were avaialble for hire, but who want to hired things that we were expecting and should have been included???
Being in the Blue Mountains, it was really cold, which we expected, however there was only one heater in the cabin which heated the main lounge, but nothing in the bedrooms - they were freezing. Thankfully, although the beds did not all have sheets, they had electric blankets ! There was a combustion fire in the cabin and we were really looking forward to getting it started when we got there, as it was freezing, however, no firewood. Yep, you have to supply that yourself too. It should be noted that even when you are camping in a National Park or State Forest, there is usually fire wood supplied !
Overall the rooms were OK, but definately nothing flash. If you stay here during winter make sure you bring a heater for the bedrooms, as the temperature inside the bedrooms dropped to 1 degrees during the night.
