Crimson Villa was a perfect getaway stay for our family. We enjoyed the cozy clean home with a functional kitchen and laundry facilities. The garden and backyard provided ample space for children to expand their energy. It was delightful to see different species of birds visiting the garden and feeding them with the complimentary bird seeds was an experience. The host Maralyn was very attentive and shared many valuable local tips. She was great in communication throughout and took special effort to update us on the bushfires condition. Having a private parking lot within the property was helpful. And yes, you do need a car as the town centre is a few minutes away.

Safety of our guests is important to us and we are up to date with information and onsite - with self contained properties it is important to stay with professional tourism business operators, especially at these times - it's not important until it is! Katoomba town and lookouts open and clear skies!

The property is located a few minutes drive from the Katoomba railway station. It is highly recommended to drive. Alternatively, a daily commute by taxi services is acceptable.

Cosy home from home in the mountains
Our hosts could not have been more warm or accommodating - they lent us raincoats for our rainy bushwalk and built a fire pit for the children on our first night - a very friendly couple and a beautiful villa - the children gave it 10 out of 10, despite the inclement weather, and are looking forward to visiting again soon

What a gem of a find. Loved the property and how homely it felt. We have been staying in a number of places recently and this was by far the cleanest. So much love put into their accommodation. Garden and feeding the wild birds was a special treat. A big storm came through and it was the perfect spot to be stuck. The managers are amazing. Approachable, friendly and offer fantastic tips to get the most out of your stay. The only negative I have is that we had to leave.

Great location
If you are visiting Katoomba and you have a car this is a great place to stay. It is only a short distance to all of the major attractions. It is a very homely place and the owners made us feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend it.

Lugnt och fint läge i utkanten av staden. Detta är en lägenhet som ligger i en del av en privatvilla, och värdarna är väldigt trevliga, serviceinriktade och lätta att ha att göra med. Lägenheten är relativt stor, och inget där är nytt men allt är väldigt fräscht och funktionellt. Det går bra att laga mat. Mysig trädgård! Sammantaget ett väldigt bra boende!

All the comforts of home
We recently visited Crimson Villa with our one-year-old and we couldn't have asked for more ideal accommodation. The villa was comfortable, spacious, warm and equipped with everything to get us through our stay. The gardens are peaceful and quiet. Our son loved exploring the surrounds and watching the visiting parrots. Recommended for families looking for more than a hotel room.

Bungalow added onto owners home
Nice property with gorgeous birds in the garden . Well supplied but quite cold as we visited in the winter. Be aware that the propert charges per person rather than for the whole unit . We got caught out by extra charges .

Crimson Villa was a great find in Katoomba.
Had a fantastic time staying at Crimson Villa. Close to town but surrounded by trees on the edge of bushland. Very well presented property & kept spotlessly clean. Maralyn was very welcoming & gave us a wealth of really useful local information on our arrival. Bird seed was provided & we fed the Crimson Rosellas & Cockatoos in the garden. Comfortable beds & fully equipped kitchen - TV with DVD player in the lounge (even a copy of The Castle to watch - a real Australian classic) Highly recommend Crimson Villa if you are considering staying in Katoomba.

Lovely villa in a very peaceful place
Lovely, comfortable villa, very well appointed. It is a very quiet and peaceful location. The hosts were friendly and helpful. Lots of native birds in the garden which I liked. The local area is stunning. Scenic world is well worth a visit. Lots of good, well sign posted bushwalks in the local area. It's about 15 min walk to the shops and about 30-45 min walk to echo point so a car s an advantage and parking is provided. Saying that I managed perfectly well without a car. There is a bus that does a circuit from katoomba shops to scenic world and echo point. It is very regular and I found it very useful particularly to avoid the hike up the hill from echo point after a long walk.

Delightful cottage with cockatoos and parrots
We stayed here four nights. Our hosts were very helpful in describing the locality. The cottage had a book of walks in the Blue Mountains, which we used. The kitchen was fine and we ate in twice. The most memorable thing about crimson villas is the birds. Our hosts provided bird seed and every day we had the pleasure of seeing a number of crimson parrots and white cockatoos, pecking the lawn for the seed.

Perfect find in Katoomba.
Could not fault this lovely cottage. All comforts plus some. Visits by King Parrots, Crimson Rosellas and Sulphur Crested Cockatoos were a welcome added extra.

Great Little Gem
This was a perfect little hide away villa just outside of Katoomba Town Center. It provided us with all the amenities needed including an in villa washer and dryer which came in handy as we had been on the road for a number of days prior. Rooms were clean and comfortable with a fully outfitted kitchen and access to a BBQ. Just out the window we were entertained by the various birds that came to visit. The innkeepers also provided some wild feed which was nice to see them come in to the yard. On the Innkeepers themselves, they could not have been nicer. They were very prepared with activity suggestions, insight into local events as well as various dining options. We could not have been happier with the way we were treated - absolutely delighted by them!

Couldn't fault a thing
My wife and three year old daughter stayed at Crimson Villa for a week and it was great. We arrived late after being delayed due to a bush fire on the motorway and David ensured an easy and quick check in. The property was very clean and had everything we needed and more. It was great to have more space than we would have had in a motel/hotel. Awesome for kids. The backyard, cubby house and feeding the parrots was a big plus for our daughter. As was the rocking horse and kiddy table that David found just for our daughter - fantastic. The Blue Mountains is such a great place to visit. Lots to see, do and eat! Thanks again Crimson Villa!

Excellent experience
We were greeted by our host very warmly who took the time to give us wonderful advice on how to maximise our time in the Blue Mountains. We wanted for nothing by way of facilities and were able to be self sufficient for all meals at the Unit after tiring days doing the tourist bit. Thank you.

Vi fick ett bra mottagande av hyresvärden och tips på saker att göra i närområdet. I trädgården var det många olika sorters vilda pappagojor som kom mycket när vi lade frön på gräsmattan. Perfekt boende för barnfamiljer.

Recommend it to everyone!
We had a great stay in this very peaceful location. Our three kids loved the private garden and feeding the birds. The hosts are very friendly and extremely helpful. The accommodation was spotless and felt like home. When we come back to Katoomba this is where we will book first!

Lovely, peaceful retreat
Maralyn greeted us the first night and made sure we were all set. Gave us great info about hitting the sights early before the busses rolled in from Sydney. Oh was she correct! When we started out hiking both Friday & Saturday, the parking lots were empty and so were the trails. By the time we finished it was very busy. The beds were very comfy, kitchen well-equipped, shower lovely, grill excellent. David was very welcoming too, without being intrusive. Did I mention the birds? David & Maralyn supply the bird seed & a feeder. Oh my! Sat outside drinking coffee and watching cockatoos and parrots. So colorful and cheery! Loved it!

Relaxing gem
We spent a few nights at Crimson Villa and were impressed from the beginning. Lots of space, in a beautiful garden, and a friendly welcome. It was a close drive to town and Katoomba attractions. We feel that we got a great value. The kids enjoyed the movies and board games. We also enjoyed having rosellas, parrots and cockatoos in the garden in the morning. We would highly recommend this place.

Highly recommended
This is a stunning self-contained unit ideal for exploring Katoomba and the Blue Mountains. There is so much attention to detail in this property that it would be almost churlish to attempt to find fault. The owners are very welcoming and the garden setting with it' s resident family of rosellas and cockatoos make it a very tranquil and relaxing place to stay. Cannot recommend it enough.

Pretty sweet BnB close to Sydney city
With off street parking, ferry to Circular Quay within 5 minutes, (11-12 minute ride), beautifully decked out accommodation, superbly supplied continental breakfast, there is little to want for. Plenty of nice eateries in Balmain central, again only 10 minute walk away. Hosts Neil and Elizabeth were most accommodating. This is tops for a couple.

A great sanctuary with reasonable price
It's not far from Katoomba CBD, but it's actually in the middle of bush land. It's quiet, bushy and leafy with birds flying around the house. The landlords have even prepared food for us to feed birds! It's a two bedrooms villa fully furnished and self-contained, you feel like this is home away from home, it's very peaceful, comfort and relaxing. The only bad experience was we were pulled out of bed by the landlord lady at 10.30am. She knocked the door to request us to check out. However, on the booking confirmation email from Expedia, it didn't mention about check-out time at all, I thought this is a private property that we can check out anytime, plus we had a function till very late on Sat. night, that's why we slept in on Sun. morning. We quickly got up and checked out, but I showed the landlord lady that check-out time is not required on my booking voucher, we didn't know anything about check-out time :(

Perfect for families
The villa is completely kid friendly. A portacot request was no trouble, high chair is available plus games to keep the kids entertained. A lovely bush aspect.
