Not the property’s fault but we had to book a second room because I reserved two double beds and the resort wouldn’t let more than 2 people per room.

Hello Lynette,The resort's listing on Expedia clearly states that our Courtyard and Marina View rooms sleep up to 2 guests. It is a shame you would rate us 1 out of 5 and "terrible" but also state that it is "not the property's fault". Despite the confusion on your part when booking, we do hope you and your family enjoyed your stay.We always encourage guests to book with our reservations team to make sure they understand the room type and full details of the accommodation they are booking. Bonaire- Only Place to Stay is Harbour Beach Club!

We had a fantastic two weeks at the Harbour Village Beach Club! We had a self-contained apartment overlooking the sea which was so well equipped it even had 2 WCs and a dis-washer. As well as catering for ourselves with shopping visits to the Van den Tween supermarket which had excellent fresh produce and range of wines, we dined at the superb on-site La Balendra restaurant which had a wide-ranging menu and fabulous Chef’s Specials. The restaurant is shaped as a wooden boat and juts out into the sea and in the evenings the surrounding water is illuminated and you can see fish such as tarpon swimming around from your table - superb. To add to things, a huge pelican landed on the stern and stay there for half a day. The diving from the resort with the Great Adventures team was fantastic. The conditions were so good that it was possible to dive every day and even do a night dive to see the sparkling Ostracods after the Full Moon. Hank, Seskia, Flavia and the whole Dive Team made it one of the best dive experiences in the last decade. One thing that really stood about the resort was the cleanliness of the garden grounds, with the hummingbirds and bananaquits in abundance, and also the cleanliness of the rooms thanks to Lucy from Housekeeping and the grounds men who ensured the beach was cleaned every night. Last but not least was the really lovely warm welcome of the Front Desk team and their helpful advice and suggestions throughout our stay. We will definitely be back soon!

Absolutely fabulous property, great staff, perfect location. The only challenge, but to be fair is an entire island challenge, was the restaurant service. The restaurant staff was friendly and helpful, but a tad operationally challenged. However, the food never disappointed, but patience was required.

Hidden Gem in Bonaire

Our entire stay was wonderful. I’m not a diver yet, but got a lot braver because of the encouragement of the wonderful people at the resort. This was our first time in Bonaire & couldn’t have asked for a better crew to be a part of this. We wanted to literally relax and we got to do that. The beach is really a bubble, we ate every meal at Balandra, at first because of convenience then it was just a no brainer. On our next trip we will explore more but this was the vacation we needed. It was my husbands bday and the entire staff made him feel special. We got to know Emma at the restaurant truly amazing manager and just overall person and leader. Mark was just amazing, so were Mosa, Gisela, Claudia and Hurtley. The Harbour Village is truly a special hidden gem in plain site. The bed was incredible comfortable, the welcome was warm with a hint of luxury, the food at La Balandra was incredible, the view amazing, the staff incredible warm, hospitable and caring. The cleaning wonderful. I also used the gym, it is properly equipped though some of the equipment is a little older. We will be coming back for sure in a few months. Thank you so much for an amazing vacation!

Harbor Village is so comfortable! There is space to relax; the restaurant is lovely and the food is good; the beach is terrific with a nice easy area to swim and snorkel; the birds and the pair of local iguanas keep us company; but most of all it's the people there! This is not just professional service; these are people who care about you want your time with them to be really good. They literally go out of their way to see that you are okay and have what you need, whether it's coming or going home again or anything in between. These are people who don't tell you where it is you are wishing to go, they walk with you and get you there! Front office; restaurant; bar; dive shop - wherever. If you want a place to be HOME while you are in Bonaire, this is definitely the place

Our stay here exceeded my expectations. Staff was professional and courteous, the property is beautiful and private, there is ALWAYS plenty of room on the beach so you don’t have to search for a spot. And the snorkeling off the property is the best we’ve seen that close to a resort in the Caribbean. Would absolutely stay here again.

Erg fraaie accommodatie, gelegen net buiten Kralendijk. Het terrein is privé en alleen toegankelijk voor gasten/eigenaren van de accomodaties, dit geldt ook voor het strand wat natuurlijk erg prettig is. Het restaurant is de gehele dag geopend en is erg mooi gelegen op de pier naast het strand/ingang jachthaven. Het personeel is ontzettend gastvrij, vriendelijk en behulpzaam - hiervoor zeker een 10 op 10!

The property was very nice and the staff exceptional. We ate almost every meal in the restaurant located right there and every meal was absolutely delicious. The beach was clean, although small, but it had a lot of nice shade if you wanted that and many nice chairs, tables and hammocks. Overall, it was a very relaxing vacation.

Our stay at the Harbor Village Beach Club was perfect. The resort is big enough to have all the amenities you need to indulge yourself, but small enough that you can quickly get from your room to the beach to the restaurant to the dive shop with no stress. With multiple dive boats leaving each day from the hotel dock, everyone could do as much or as little diving as they felt like. The shaded porches and balconies, thoughtfully designed low-rise units, and well-tended landscaping create an almost Mediterranean atmosphere. By the end of our stay, the staff and our fellow guests felt like family. If you are looking for an easy family scuba diving vacation, I can’t imagine a better place.

Beautiful property with lovely beach front and excellent snorkeling!! Staff were extremely accommodating and the facility is impeccably maintained. We would highly recommend and would absolutely stay here again. Also, a great place to learn to dive. Dive staff were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

Bonaire Dive Trip

Hotel was nice, staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was excellent but service is extremely slow. The dive shop is very helpful/knowledgeable but is not very responsive with email communication/follow up when requested. Bonnie/Warren/Alfonso from the dive shop really made our trip and staying here worth returning.

Can’t wait to visit again!

Amazing beautiful quiet get away with the only beautiful sand beach in Bonaire. Went to dive. The staff Anne Marie and Bonnie were superb! Reefs spectacular and fish abundant. Easy dive off shore and boat ride to dive also nice. Anne and all of the front desk were super friendly and helpful.

Management should be more sympathetic

Best hotel on Bonaire but the Front Office Staff smile and ignore your problems. We where given a room next to the employee entrance and a room that was being renovated. While we booked a King room we where given this room with 2 queen beds and where told repeatedly that this room was an upgrade. The only way to change rooms was to pay an uncharge. What is up with that? A quiet room with a king bed should not cost you $50 or $100 per night.

Great facility, super clean & beautiful grounds. Amazing beach. Dive shop had a few snags at the beginning of the week, but everything ended up great. Restaurant still lacking good service, esp for the price.

Amazing resort for everything you could want!

My stay at Harbour Village was AMAZING!!! It was so nice to have everything you needed right there on the resort and anything that my friend and I wanted to do outside the resort there were always a number of people that would make recommendations for us. The Snorkeling and diving there at the shores of the hotel was some of the best I saw the entire week I was there - and that includes the solo snorkel trips my friend and I did around the island. It was so nice to have the hammocks, tables, lounge chairs and umbrellas always set up right in front of the ocean shore so we never had to worry about finding someone to set things up for us. The diving instructors and staff are extremely versed in diving and for those that are learning or wanting to understand more they really make sure that they prepare you. I was very grateful all the time and assistance the dive instructors spent going over procedures with me and the assistance with discussing options about gear. Also the food at La Balandra was delicious ! Our favorite dish was the Pesto Pasta with Shrimp and we actually ordered it a number of times because we loved it so much! I loved the hotel and staff so much I am already planning my next diving trip for September and plan to stay at Harbour Village again!!

Nice hotel but restaurant is weakest link

Nice size hotel, nice small beach, great dive shop and diving on site. Rooms were ok. Pool ok but had lots of foliage in it due to winds. Staff is friendly. Really the weakest link is the speed of the service in the bar and restaurant area and the quality of the food for the price. Definitely recommend eating off-site. I would return for the location and diving but would definitely walk to nearby restaurants for better food and service.
