Nice place to stay in Blowing Rock. Rooms are small but comfortable. Good for couples & great area, everything in town is walkable from this property.

Cute throwback true “motel”. Room and bathroom small but very clean. Comfy bed, large flat screen tv, fridge and microwave. Best part is the ability to walk to shopping and restaurants. Great value and dog friendly:)

Very charming place, close to downtown, a nice walking trail, and the owner did a fabulous job with the gardens, very beautiful. Only one suggestion, the room I stayed in could use a new mattress- it wasn’t comfortable.

Homestead Inn March 2022
Assigned room had not been cleaned but staff assigned us to an upgraded room. Staff recovered. Ungraded room had two queen beds and two rockers. Room was too small for that configuration. One side of each bed was only 1foot from the wall so as an older person it made it hard and unsafe to get out on those sides of the bed. It was just my wife and I but we sleep together. The best part of the hotel was its location. Easy access to all that Downtown Blowing Rock had to offer. Major plus. We would not stay at this hotel again if we had to in room 4 again. For a mature couple if room 4 had one queen bed and the rockers for a sitting area might give it a chance based on location. Hope this helps.

Ok stay. We had a deluxe room that didn’t feel very deluxe. It was almost impossible to maintain a steady room temperature. It was either too hot or too cold. Heater was very noisy.

My previous review was only one word and misunderstood by the owner. We enjoyed our stay at The Homestead Inn. It is clean, quaint, pet friendly and within walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock.

This is a very comfortable place to stay and very affordable. If you are looking for luxury and pristine cleanliness then look somewhere else. The bed was the best one I have slept on this trip. The rooms are not very private as the walls are Thin. The fan in the bathroom couldnt be used because it made so much noise. Very cute decor and a fun town to visit.

Disappointed in Homestead Inn
The room was small and crowded. There was no closet, just a bar on the wall. The bathroom was tiny with no storage for toiletries. The large wall mounted TV had poor sound.

Beautiful small town stay
Clean very comfortable beds private cabin style rooms quaint beautiful landscape.friendly staff and town.unfortunaly most restaurants in town closed by covid the few open were very busy at dinner.could have saved by calling directly to the inn.the toastery restaurants had a great breakfast.

Cancelled and rebooked privately minutes before
We were very uncomfortable that 30 minutes before we arrived the hotel called us and told us they would have to cancel with hotels .com and rebook through them our they would cancel our reservation. We have been loyal customers to hotels,com and they have been loyal to us. This didn’t feel right to use hotels to get bookings and then call customers right before they arrive telling them you have to book through them instead. Unfairly puts the customer in an uncomfortable position and dampens the stay.

Hi Kelly, I’m so sorry you felt this way! I didn’t want to put you in a pet friendly room which is all I had left for the third party site. I didn’t want to put you in the only room open for the third party site which was pet friendly and have you write something bad but either way you win! All you had to do is say NO, and I would have accommodated you to the best of my ability. So sorry you had to write a review about having to cancel a reservation- it’s a free world we live in you can do anything you want! Sorry again for any inconvenience and upset. We are a smaller establishment and we only have so many rooms to share with third party sites, and we are trying to be fair to them and ourselves. Rob Valet/ Owner

Quick stay
Needed a quick, inexpensive place to stay for one night on business. Room was clean and comfortable and could walk to main street for something to eat.
