Nicely decorated rooms but not great overall
The decoration of all rooms is very unique with a lot of lovely details. Very nice and refreshing if you are used to the standard rooms in all these standard hotel chains. However, there were multiple problems that rendered the stay less nice. First, our bathroom didn't have a shower but a bathtub - unfortunetaly without any screen. No matter how careful we were, the bathroom was flooded in the morning. Due to a lack of window, fan or any other possibility to stimulate air circulation, it stayed damp the whole day. Secondly, Wifi didn't work (to be precise it worked for about 4 hrs in 3 days) and noody could fix it. This may happen but the bigger problem was that it was very difficult to get hold of staff to point out problems during the day. The hotel is run from the restaurant across the street and one had to wait until it opened. Thirdly, the room (carpet in particular) wasn't really clean. All in all, the price was way too high for the quality offered.

Nice, Quirky, Spacious BnB
This is a small BnB operated by La Tupina restaurant across the street, which is where you go to check in. We had a room on the first floor, just one flight up from the ground floor. The room was spacious, with windows on two sides, and a large bathroom that was fully renovated, bright, and clean. This is in an old, historic building - no elevators, exposed wood beams, heavy stone walls, nothing perfectly perpendicular, you get the idea. Charming to some, creepy to others. We thought the lighting in the main bedroom and sitting area left a lot to be desired - it got pretty dark at night. The decorations were eccentric, tending to French 60s and 70s eroticism - fair warning if art books with nude photography offends your sensibility, or artistic nude photos adorning the walls. The location is just a little bit away from the bustling parts of town - but Bordeaux is gentrifying in this direction, so that won't last long. We would go back - it clearly was the largest room we have ever had in France.

Great intimate B&B
We were so happy with our accommodations at this B&B in Bordeaux. It was the perfect spot and right across the way was a fabulous restaurant run by the same owner. Loved it!

Not a hotel a B&B .....
This was NOT a Hotel it was a B&B .....and not a very good breakfast either ... Packet cakes, 2 small croissant's( 1 chocolate and 1 plain to share ) and very dry bread for breakfast. There was no reception just had to pop into a busy restaurant to as any questions. In our room we had no full length mirror, tissues, or TV, also no coffee only earl gray or peppermint tea bags, It also said in its information that the rooms were sound proof this is not so, the room was above a road and restaurant very very noisy at night. On the plus side the room was big a spacious beautifully clean and the shower was amazing.. Over all our stay was really really disappointing and way over priced.

Vi slet med å finne hotellet, men det skyldtes navigasjonen i bilen som stoppet for tidlig. Men vihadde et flott opphold i en meget spesielt hotellrom nydelig dekorert. Og varme medarbeider til en fransk frokost. Hotellet drives av en flott gourmet restaurant som er verdet besøk.

Unexpected treasure!
This hotel is an unexpected treasure! I travel by train and it was just a quick tram ride from the train station. The receptionist could not have been nicer or more helpful. Since I was the only one staying in the hotel that night, she upgraded me to the best room without extra charge. I would heartily recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit Bordeaux. Just down the street is a wonderful little restaurant called le bar cave which has delicious food prepared right before your eyes!

Situé a 15 minutes à pied de la place de la bourse (miroir d'eau), la belle bâtisse offre des chambres très spacieuses, propres et très confortable. Le petit déj est top, le personnel accueillant. C'est la deuxième fois que j'y vais et j'y retournerai pour tester les autres chambres.

Die Zimmer sind sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Stadtzentrum ist in nur kurzer Gehzeit erreichbar. Das Service ist sehr gut. Sehr freundlicher Empfang. Auch das dazugehörende Restaurant ist absolut empfehlenswert. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen war ein fehlender Fernseher, aber der hat eigentlich nicht wirklich gefehlt. Absolut empfehlenwert.

Nice place to stay but not a hotel
Bordeaux is beautiful along the river but the hotel is really almost just a private room/bath (nice w unique decorations) in a house. La Tupina is where it is run from and probably the best rustic type restaurant in walking distance. Get a car and go to St Emilion!! Amazing little town! Freedom does have parking.

Not a Hotel they are apartments.
If you a re looking for room service and a 24 hour staff this is not the place for you. The rooms are nice and big there is no elevator, and the internet works from time to time. The staff is very happy to help they are very nice and most speak English. They work at the restaurant across the street "La Tupina" its very French but very good its expensive but worth it.They also offer a valet service for your car.

Nice room but overpriced.
A large spacious quirky room with huge bathroom was spotlessly clean. Did feel a little strange that there was no reception and we have to check in at the restaurant across the road. When we discovered on our first evening that the air-conditioning is not working we had to call across to a waiter who wasn't really able to help. He told of somebody would be there to fix it the next day but when we returned after a long day out the following day to find it still was not working. This would not normally bother me too much but our stay in Bordeaux coincided with a heatwave and it was very uncomfortable and we both had difficulty sleeping in the heat. We tried leaving the windows open but it was generally too noisy to sleep. Breakfast was taken and Cafe tupina to just across the road. The lady in the cafe was very friendly and could not enough but I did think the breakfast was quite basic for the price we paid. We had moved from a more central cheaper hotel so it was nice to move to a quieter part of the city and it is easy to walk or take the tram back to the centre. Overall the room was good but very overpriced for what you get in my opinion. We paid €250 per night which I think is too much for this hotel for this reason I wouldn't stay here again.

Horrible Location / No Wifi / Problems with Charge
The hotel is located nowhere near where any of the activities are in Bordeaux. The only good thing about the hotel was the restaurant food which was exceptional. There was No Wifi as indicated on the reservation. Additionally after our return we have now been trying to get the charges corrected on our credit card as they double charged us for the stay. I would not recommend this location as a hotel. Go and eat at the restaurant but that it!

Clean and comfortable.
The room was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Our room was the Green Room which was located at the too if the building. The sloping roof made it low in parts so if you are very tall ask for an alternate room.

Lovely large room with very nice design, restaurant with absolutely amazing food just across the street (we had dinner there) and super service. We were able to walk everywhere easily. Absolutely perfect.

Beautiful room
The room was fantastic, beautiful and very clean. We stayed in the black room. The only downside was that it was hard to find service in the hotel because it's spread out over a couple small buildings. The hotel is run by the restaurant and cafe across the street. Other than that, we loved it.

Great location if travelling by train, fantastic old building beautifully renovated, large room and great bathroom. Staff were really helpful and surrounding restaurants just great, would definitely return
