The Coolidge Corner Guest House is a great place to stay if you are visiting Boston. It is one block off Brookline which has the "T" metro line that runs every fifteen minutes. The fare is waived if you are running the Boston Marathon. I really enjoyed the way the people in Boston treated the Marathoners, it is like nowhere else in the world. I hope I get an opportunity to run the Marathon again.

Cute place for a short stay
I had to cancel and rebook a hotel room after my surgery at MGB got delayed and this was the best rate and they had one room left, so I snagged it. The check in was easy, the communication with the owner was good, I unfortunately ended up having to stay overnight at the hospital, but I was glad my husband had somewhere to rest while he waiting for me. He did say it was pretty loud at night, very thin walls.

The rooms need to be freshened up. Kitchen area very tiny with everyone trying to prepare their bagels, tea and coffee at the same time. Tip, get to the kitchen before 7:15 to avoid the rush. Location is good. Easy walk to the green line

The guest house was fine. Clean and good breakfast. I am not used to sharing a bathroom or no AC while traveling for business.

Overall the house was very comfortable and our room was nice. It's located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance from the Green line, a Trader Joe's, and plenty of restaurants and shops. Our only issue was with the creaking floors and stairs. The home is a beautiful old Victorian that's been lovingly kept up, but the stairs and floors desperately need to be fixed. That being said the house was clean and well furnished, the bed was very comfortable, the staff friendly, and we were very happy with our stay.

Really lovely "bed & bagel" place with simple but cute furnishings. Very walkable to the the nearby Coolidge Corner shops and restaurants.

Il s'agit d'une maison typique de Brookline, quartier bourgeois et agréable de Boston. Déjeuner copieux. La décoration et l'aménagement des pièces sont figés dans le temps, ce qui fait le charme du séjour. Par contre, les lits pourraient être plus confortables et l'isolation phonique est insuffisante pour ne pas se faire réveiller par les autres clients. Il n'y avait pas d'employé à l'accueil, seulement une enveloppe avec notre clé et un numéro de téléphone au besoin. Le stationnement est vraiment problématique : seulement 3 ou 4 places en enfilade sur place. Je n'ai pas pu compter sur l'aide de la personne au téléphone. Sa seule option était d'avoir une contravention car à Brookline, on ne peut pas stationner sa voiture plus de 2 heures à la même place le jour et 1 heure la nuit... oui, oui, c'était sa seule option. C'est un service insuffisant et j'ai perdu du temps à trouver l'information par moi-même. Donc aller sur le site de la ville pour comprendre l'enjeu de stationnement : https://www.brooklinema.gov/2431/Parking. J'ai utilisé un stationnement publique de nuit de 20h à 8h (Babcock street). Par la suite, je me suis stationnée à une place avec un parcomètre permettant une durée max de 13h (station Fairbanks Street de la T green line). Aucun problème de disponibilité et ça revient à 19$ (nuit jour). C'est contraignant mais mieux que rien. Les horaires ne nous dérangaient pas pour notre séjour et c'était agréable de marcher dans le quartier.

C’est un peu comme si on vous proposait de dormir chez grand-maman. La vieille maison victorienne avec l’escalier qui craque, les chambres mansardées et les aires communes charmantes. Évidemment, il se peut que vous entendiez les voisins et certaines chambres ont une salle de bain à partager, donc c’est pas pour tout le monde, mais nous avons adoré!!

Cool old place.
Lots of character! It is an old squeaky place but it has charm and a social environment. I would stay there again.

Nice location and the exterior of the home is very nice bu it has seen better days once you get inside and the bed in room 17 where I stayed was terrible. I did not get any sleep and I had to lead a workshop the next day. Not recommended if you have anything important to do the next day.
