Terri is quite hospitable and friendly. She adapted quickly to my dietary restrictions. Gave us wonderful recommendations of things to do in town and a lovely conversationalist. Rooms are adorable, clean and comfy. Highly recommend.

If you like antiques and farm animals, this is the place for you! Lovely breakfast and great conversation. Only catch was we had to pay in cash, which we didn’t know ahead of time. Check in was 5:30 pm which is kind of late.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I send out an auto confirmation and pre-arrival email to my guests. In both I clearly state that we only accept cash or etransfer. I also remind guests to eat before they arrive as it can be a long drive back to the highway and the nearest open restaurant. All of my messages to my guests are filtered through Expedia and I trust that they are passed on.As for the 5:30pm arrival, I appreciated you delaying your arrival so I could attend the board meeting of an organization near and dear to my heart (I am vice chair).I hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Nova Scotia.

My only regret about choosing this stay was how far out of the way it was. The host was very nice and I loved getting to hang out with her cats and dog. The property was clean, quiet, and comfortable.

A real farm house B&B. Adults had a wonderful sleep in the comfy beds and kids loved the animals. We all had a yummy breakfast with warm hospitality. Highly recommended.

This BnB has a lovely old country style with nice touches and taste with furniture and furnishings. Lots of spacious private areas to use apart from the bedroom area. If you are an animal lover, there are the most precious animals living here - including Ralphie - the ginger house cat. Breakfast was ample and tasty with lots of local ingredients (including eggs from the property’s chickens) The host is warm, welcoming and made us feel right at home with lovely conversations that made you want to stay longer than one night. If ever back in Cape Breton, it would definitely be on my list of places to stay again and to explore the area even more.

The hostess Terri is very personable and friendly, and we had a comfortable room. A few things to be aware of: * The place is located about 30 minutes from the Cabot Trail and 20 minutes from any main road. * "Pet friendly" means there are dogs and cats in the house. * The bathroom is not off of the room.

My 13 year old daughter and I had such a wonderful time at the Seaweed and Sod Farm Bed & Breakfast. Terri and Dave took the time to make us comfortable and ensure our stay was pleasant. Breakfast was AMAZING and the room was spacious and cute. The location was absolutely stunning. Our only regret was not staying longer. We will be back!

It was an active farm with nice view of the lake. Quite a long drive down a poor road to get to it. Shared bathroom. No reading lights near bed.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We are pet friendly and although I do keep the cat out of the guest rooms she does have access to the public areas. That does not make is easy for people, like your wife, who are allergic.

Property has a cozy mix of new and old features. Bed was cozy, breakfast was delicious. Everything was clean and well kept. Terri and her household pets were warm and welcoming hosts.

We had a great time, our host Terri was great, we were treated just like family. This B & B is a working farm, the house is a great old farmhouse, lots of antiques, yet well maintained and clean. The grounds are indicative of a working farm, the rooster woke us each morning, the turkeys and llamas are in the yard and the many dogs and cats demand sufficient attention. Overall, a great experience, highly recommended.

the sweetest place ever. Like a home away from home. Friendly hosts, friendly pets, variety of farm animal. Amazing huge Percheron horses and the cutest little pony. Great farm breakfast- all farm sourced,organic. Lovely room. Privacy.quiet. Location is rural and beautiful. Wonderful walking and water views from house. Direct water access.

Nice, friendly place. Owner Terri is awesome and very down to earth. This B & B is out of the way if one is going to do the Cabot Trail but it is well worth the extra drive. We highly recommend it.

We didn’t end up staying the night. We had misconceptions as to what to expect. We found it claustrophobic and tight in the home. The farm was very cluttered. I’m sure that many people would enjoy this place and consider it cosy but it wasn’t for us.

I'm so sorry you felt you couldn't stay the night. B&B's vary from home to home, in space and decor. Those which are situated in "historic" farmhouses, such as ours, will be more authentic to the time in which they were built, unlike the larger bedrooms which are standard in hotels/ inns/motels. This is a working farm, rather than a hobby farm. We have made the description of our B&B as precise a possible, but we are happy to answer questions from any potential guests regarding the house and property, should they wish to have more information. A little Gem of the Beaten Path
Very nice and comfortable room with a wonderful bed/linens etc. Very friendly and engaging hosts. Great breakfast and conversations. Would like to spend more time next visit.

Most charming B&B!
We had the best experience at this B&B! From the clean, comfortable beds to kindest hosts who made us a lovely breakfast. The on-site farmhouse has so many animals, including llamas!! If you want the local charm, this is the place to stay! Highly recommend!

Arriving after dark at a spot I'd never been seemed a bit daunting, till we arrived. Warm friendliness, great accommodations and satisfying hot food at breakfast. Happy with the B&B
