Dear HAEMIN, Thanks for your feedback. In regards to your comments about the preauthorization taken upon check-in, all Mantra Hotels within Brisbane CBD undertake the same practice of a credit card preauthorization of $100. This is in place to guarantee against any charges that may be incurred such as Minibar, Telephone calls or Food and Beverage services. Generally it takes between 7 to 10 working days (as a rule of thumb) for it to be released, however each bank is different and they set their own holding times as to when preauthorsations are released. Unfortunately we have no control over this as the holding times are set by your bank and not by the hotel. Should our valued guests prefer not to provide a credit card, we can take a Cash Deposit instead of $200 which would be refundable upon departure less any charges incurred. We can try to expedite the process by faxing a letter off to your bank asking them to release the authorization hold however there is no guarantee that your bank will action this in a timely manner.
