There should have been no surprises as our amenities are clearly stated on the Expedia page when renting. There is a list of rules in the room that the guest did not see that also has the Wifi inf. Sometimes we are not home and try and make it easy for our guest to enter the home and make themselves at home. EWe obviously need to improve.

Thank you for staying at Mi Casa and for your comments. Since we are a Guesthouse and not a Hotel, the beds are not made everyday. Also when you rented the details of the house are clearly stated and a shared bathroom is written so that guest know a head of time.

Thank you for choosing to stay at Mi Casa Tu Casa. Our goal was to provide a clean, comfortable, economical place to stay that is a great location. We welcome you back anytime, but please remember, there is absolutely no smoking in the rooms. The cleaning lady reporter a strong tobacco smell and cigarette buts in the garbage. That required a different type of cleaning and sanitizing that costs us more than regular cleaning.

Glad to have had you stay & felt comfortable & safe with us at Mi Casa Tu Casa.

Perhaps the "Anonymous" guest is not use to seeing too many people one block away from our quiet neighborhood. The subway is one block away and depending on the of day there are always crowds heading in the same direction. Our area is very safe & in 15 years of operation we have never had any incident with any of our guest. As per the towels, that is highly improbable that the towels were dirty because they are always put fresh for every new guest and the entire room is inspected by a 2nd person.

The area is quickly gentrifying and bringing more businesses, housing stock, hotels, etc just blocks from our pre-Civil War homes. While our block is quiet, the area is jumping for now.

Door locks, but we advise guest to pull door on their way out of the house. We also have video cameras that provide a security that is second to none. Guesthouse can not have locks on doors. This is not a hotel, we do provide toiletries and rooms are not cleaned daily as our guest are transients. There is a difference between a hotel and a guesthouse. We have a better security that most hotels as this is family run with only 4 rooms to rent. That is why so many families and profesional artist, actors and musicians frequent our house It's like staying with family, our rates are the best for what we offer. Hotels are available that charge twice what we charge.

Guest chose a different room than the one he reserved because in was in the back of the house away from the sun. We explained that though the room was clean it was not yet inspected & ready for guest. Mr. Marmolejos still wanted room cause he stated he just wanted to sleep as he was working double shifts on a project in the city. We both noticed TV remote was not working. We tried to re-program, but he told us he wanted to shower and sleep a few hours before he had to go back to work. We left room and we told him it would be fixed by the time he returned late in the evening. Re: Towels, I don't know what he's talking about because all rooms are furnished with towels and if guest need extra all they have to do is ask.
