We took our two dogs, and the place was spotlessly clean. Not one dog hair of previous pups at all. It's a great location for visiting Bryce Canyon and Escalante.

The staff was above and beyond sweet, clean cozy rooms that are pet friendly, even have a fenced in pet area!

Like most of the places in the area this was an old motel. We stopped for a night and then visited Bryce Canyon the next day. Room was as adequate, clean and had a small fridge and microwave. Check in and out was fine lady was pleasant. Had dinner at the local BBQ place which was fine and breakfast across the street. Shoulder season so not a crazy time.

The room was clean and comfortable. The bed was large, cozy and warm. The owners were very nice and checked in to see if we had what we needed daily.

Always a little skeptical about little town motels but this is an excellent place to stay. Our room was bigger than any big chain room. It has a functioning ice machine with plenty of ice and that’s always a bonus. Didn’t use the washer and dryer but they looked new.

Room was clean, beds were comfortable. The person that checked us in was not very friendly and not as pet friendly as they advertise! Don’t like dogs over 50lbs. Took out their last bad experience on us! Room had a space heater which blew the breaker when used at the same time as the microwave.

This was a gem of a motel. Stayed one evening on our way to Phoenix. We did not want to spend a lot of money for a place to sleep overnight. This motel was so reasonably priced compared to others in Panguitch. Walked into our room and we were so happy. It was SPOTLESS. It was spacious. Quaint and charming. It’s our new to go motel in our future trips south. The lady at the front desk was pleasant and so helpful. You wil not be disappointed. Marie Pettit, Red Deer, Alberta

The Lamplighter was easy to find and check into. Good for a quick stay on a drive through. Facilities are old, but functional.

A very quaint, comfortable, small town motel that is as comfortable as anywhere I have ever stayed in New York City. Very easy parking and check-in, likable staff, clean room. There were no smells in the room, and it has obviously been recently updated. It was cold outside, but the room was perfectly warm when I arrived. Shower was immediately warm. Toilet was clogged, but it did not hamper the stay, and the owner was good to work with. I would absolutely stay here again if I found myself in Panguitch. Thanks!

So, it’s 8:30 pm, 11 degrees outside and 1 of your 2 guests calls to inform that the water is not hot (after letting it run for 5 minutes) and your solution is to get nasty, tell them to find another place to stay? I have met so many great owners/managers of small town motels that take pride in their properties and understand treating customers with respect, goes a long way, earns referrals and repeat business. Unfortunately, this is not one of those owners/managers.

Bed was soft and comfortable and not because I was hiking or tired from driving but genuinely comfortable. Room had everything you would need and nothing more which fit the bill for the price and what I needed it for.

We didn't like they put a space heater on the floor right next to the shower. How safe can that be? Also we never signed any papers never showed any ID they just handed us the key.

Very cute and quaint property. Convenient shopping and dining options nearby. The pet area in the back is very nice. Beautiful sunset over mountains in the back. Bring your pets along are more than welcome here.

The heater was in need of repair. Whenever it kicked on it would make a terrible racket. I had to turn it off

The heater you were trying to use is air conditioning only. The heater is a seperate unit! Too bad you didnt come to the office and ask about it.

Check in was fine. I accidently dropped something that rolled under the bed. I was amazed how much dust was there - not expected. Everything else was fine.

We stayed here for a couple of nights while exploring Bryce Canyon and the surrounding area. The 3 queen bed room worked well for us and our 3 kids. It was very clean and quiet. The beds were comfortable and there were a few restaurants nearby that worked great for us. We would stay here again.

Hello, the AC in your room is brand new. Did you try using the heat instead? The air absolutely works in that room so you should have had no problems. Was there a reason you couldnt come to the office and ask for help? That room is a great updated room so giving us a crappy review because you didnt know how to use the AC?

Dog friendly comfy stay.
Great experience, travelling with our dogs. There is a fenced yard to run them in. Very clean and comfy room and friendly host.

Lamplighter is old but in decent shape. Don't expect modern amenities like USB ports or even convenient wall plugs. The only bad part was the traffic noise. It's right on Hwy 89 which is a busy corridor and the rooms are not that insulated for noise.

What a great place!
This was a great stay. Attention to modern details was incredible. From the cord splitter with USB, to a super easy TV interface, to a freaking bag of rags. The people on motorcycles really appreciate “rags”. Bugs and dirt and more bugs. I loved the rags!

Owner was very friendly, rooms were clean. Had a mini fridge and coffee maker. Didn’t have a blow dryer but I should have asked the front, they might have had one?!
